BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an automatic analyzer for analyzing biological samples such as blood and urine, and in particular, an automatic analysis system for biological samples in which an immunoanalyzer, a gene analyzer and the like are connected by a specimen transport line in addition to a biochemical analyzer. About.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In automatic analyzers that analyze biological samples (specimens) such as blood and urine, analysis using biochemical automatic analyzers suitable for measuring enzymes, lipids, etc. contained in specimens has been the mainstream. In recent years, there has been an increase in requests for immunological analysis of infectious diseases and tumor markers, and for gene analysis suitable for analyzing genes such as DNA and RNA of antigens detected when antigens of infectious diseases increase in the body. ing.
[0003]
As the analysis request ratio of items such as infectious diseases and tumor markers in clinical examinations increases, biochemical analysis, immunological analysis, and gene analysis using specimens in the same sample container to improve work efficiency in the laboratory There is an increasing demand for an apparatus capable of analyzing an analysis, which has been conventionally performed using a sample divided by a separate analyzer, with a single unit. In order to satisfy this requirement, an integrated system combining a biochemical analysis unit, an immune analysis unit, a gene analysis unit, or the like can be considered. In addition, in order to perform analysis of items that are not easily affected by sample carryover, such as biochemical analysis, and items that are susceptible to sample carryover, such as immunological analysis and genetic analysis, on the same system, A carry-over avoiding means is required.
[0004]
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-74925 is known as an example of an integrated system that combines a biochemical analyzer and an immune analyzer. In the automatic analyzer described here, in order to avoid sample carry-over, measurement in the immune analyzer is prioritized, waits for the analysis results, and there is no need for retesting in the immune analyzer. Measurement in the biochemical analysis department is started.
[0005]
Japanese Patent Publication No. 8-33402, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 6-207943, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-213586, and the like are known as examples of an automatic analyzer equipped with a rack standby unit. The rack standby unit in the automatic analyzer described in the above is for automatic retesting, and the sample rack supplied from the rack supply unit does not move directly to the rack standby unit, but must be somewhere in the analysis unit. After the sample contained in the sample rack is dispensed, the sample is moved to the rack standby unit.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above-described automatic analyzer combining the biochemical analyzer and the immune analyzer in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-74925, when there are many samples requested for analysis items in the immune analyzer, the processing capacity of the entire system Decreases. This is because the immunoanalyzer often has less than one-fifth the processing capacity of the biochemical analyzer, but in order to avoid sample carryover, the analysis is started from the immunoanalyzer prior to the biochemical analyzer. Therefore, when the request ratio of the immunoassay is high, most of the sample racks for performing the immunoanalysis at the rack supply unit outlet are waiting to be transported to the immunoanalyzer. That is, even if there is something that only performs biochemical analysis in the subsequent rack, it is not transported to the biochemical analysis section, and it is forced to wait for transport by the sample rack for performing immunoanalysis, so the entire system can be analyzed efficiently. This is not done.
[0007]
On the other hand, if the number of immune analyzers included in the system is increased, the processing capacity can be prevented from decreasing, but there is a problem that the area occupied by the system increases.
[0008]
An object of the present invention is to efficiently transport a sample rack to each analysis unit in an automatic analysis system for biological samples in which analysis units having different processing capacities such as biochemical analysis and immunoassay are connected by a single transport line. Thus, an object of the present invention is to provide an automatic analysis system for biological samples with improved throughput.
[0009]
