BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus such as a multifunction peripheral, a copier, a facsimile machine, and a printer, and more particularly to an image forming apparatus having a sorting function for arranging a document part by page in order and printing a plurality of copies.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In an image forming apparatus such as a multifunction machine, a copier, a facsimile machine, or a printer, a document is read, image data is stored in a memory, and copies are partially arranged in page order based on the stored image. Some have a so-called sort function that prints a plurality of copies.
[0003]
By the way, in the image forming apparatus having such a sort function, the print image is incomplete (the image density set by the operator) as a result of checking the print image while the first copy is being printed, that is, while the original is being read. If the printing conditions such as magnification, etc. are wrong, or there is a page order, image orientation, document setting error such as the front and back, etc., all the scanned images must be discarded and the job must be restarted from the beginning. There wasn't. That is, there is a problem in that when a part of the print images of a plurality of originals is incomplete, all originals must be read even if the print result of other originals is good.
[0004]
As a solution to such problems, the trial printing function can check the completion of printing of one copy of the original and print the second and subsequent copies only when the finish is satisfactory. It has been known. Further, as a technique for re-reading a document in combination with this trial printing function, for example, those described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Nos. 6-266188 and 11-127324 are known.
[0005]
In the former prior art, an image memory for storing image data, a first key for instructing start of printing, and a mode for performing sample printing when printing a plurality of originals in multiple copies are set. The second key to set, the third key to set various printing conditions, and the second key to set the sample print mode, and when the first key is operated, a plurality of documents are sequentially read. The sample memory is stored in the image memory, and only one copy is sample printed on the recording paper to interrupt printing. When the printing condition is changed via the third key at the time of interruption, a plurality of originals are sequentially read again. And a control means for controlling so that only one copy is subtracted from the set number when the first key is operated when the first key is operated at the time of interruption. It has.
[0006]
In the latter prior art, after the read page-unit image data is stored in the memory, the image data of all pages stored in the memory is test-printed to check the print result, and the defective data is If there is, the data of the defective page is erased from the memory, and the original is read again, and the page is inserted into the page position on the erased memory.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the former and the latter image forming apparatuses, all the originals are once read and then recorded on the recording paper, and after the print image is confirmed, the original cannot be read again. However, there is a problem that extra reading work occurs because of the need to read again.
[0008]
Therefore, the present invention eliminates the need to re-read the original with respect to the image that has been normally read before reading in the sort mode, and can improve the workability of the reading operation. The object is to provide a device.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a reading unit that reads a document in units of pages; Automatic document conveying means for automatically conveying a bundle of documents one by one to the reading means; Reading start instruction means for instructing reading start so that the original is read by the reading means, storage means for storing image data of the original read by the reading means in units of pages, and images read by the reading means data Or Said Images stored in the storage means data Printing means that prints on the recording paper in page units An image forming apparatus comprising: a test printing unit that performs test printing by the printing unit; a re-reading instruction unit that instructs re-reading of an original; and an erasing unit that erases image data stored in the storage unit in units of pages. And the test printing unit reads image data read by the reading unit and stored in the storage unit for each bundle of documents conveyed by the automatic document conveying unit each time the reading start unit is operated. When the re-reading instruction unit is operated after the trial printing is performed by the test printing unit, the erasing unit stores the storage after the reading start instruction unit is last operated. Deleting image data stored in the means It is characterized by that.
[0010]
In that case ,original Draft bundle Read one by one Write On recording paper trial If the printed image (that is, the scanned image) is incomplete (if the printing conditions such as the image density and magnification set by the operator are incorrect, the page order, the orientation of the image, the original set error such as the front and back, etc.) Operate the re-reading means to re-read the original, After the reading start instructing means is last operated The image data stored in the storage means Automatically Can be erased. For this reason , Positive It is possible to improve the workability of the reading work by eliminating the need to re-read the original with respect to the always read image.
[0013]
Moreover, in order to solve the said subject, this invention A reading unit that reads a document in units of pages, an automatic document conveying unit that automatically conveys a bundle of documents one by one to the reading unit, and a reading start instruction unit that instructs reading to be read by the reading unit. , Storing means for storing the image data of the document read by the reading means in units of pages, and printing the image data read by the reading means or the image data stored in the storage means on a recording sheet in units of pages. In an image forming apparatus including a printing unit, a trial printing unit that performs trial printing by the printing unit, a re-reading instruction unit that instructs re-reading of an original, and image data stored in the storage unit are erased in units of pages. Instructing the number of erase pages of the image data stored in the storage means and the storage means The test printing means is read by the reading means for each bundle of documents conveyed by the automatic document conveying means every time the reading start means is operated, and is stored in the accumulating means. The accumulated image data is subjected to a test print, and the erasure unit is a page input by the erasure number input unit when the re-reading instruction unit is operated after the test print is performed by the test print unit. Deletes a number of image data retroactively from the image data last stored in the storage means It is characterized by that.
[0014]
In that case, since image data in an arbitrary range can be deleted from the storage means, even when a plurality of originals are read, the image data can be deleted retroactively to the defective originals.
[0015]
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention further includes a document number display unit for displaying the number of documents read by the reading unit, and the erasing unit is instructed to reread the document by the reread instruction unit. The number of documents displayed on the document number display means is corrected to the number of documents when the re-reading is instructed.
[0016]
In this case, since the display indicating the number of originals read can be returned to the state before reading, it is possible to surely confirm to which page the original will be read again.
[0017]
In order to solve the above problem, the present invention is characterized by having invalid means for invalidating the operation of the re-reading instruction means when the original is not read by the reading means.
[0018]
In that case, if the original cannot be read, the original cannot be read again, so that an erroneous operation can be prevented and operability can be improved.

【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, when the sort mode is set, the document is read one by one and printed on one sheet of recording paper, and the printed image (that is, the read image) is incomplete (the image density and magnification set by the operator). If the printing conditions such as page order, page order, image orientation, and front / back document set mistakes, etc.), read the document again by operating the re-reading means, and the image data last stored in the storing means The image data can be erased in page units retroactively. For this reason, it is not necessary to re-read the original with respect to the image that has been normally read before the end of the sort mode, and the workability of the reading work can be improved.
[0105]
According to the present invention, when the re-reading instruction unit is operated, the image data stored in the storage unit is erased in units of pages when the reading start instruction unit is last operated. When operated, the image data stored last in the storage means can be automatically deleted.
[0106]
Further, according to the present invention, there is provided an erasure number input means for instructing the number of erased pages of the image data stored in the storage means, and the image data of the page number input by the erasure number input means is erased from the storage means. As a result, image data in an arbitrary range can be erased from the storage means. For this reason, even when a plurality of originals are read, the image data can be erased retroactively to the defective original.
[0107]
Further, according to the present invention, the document number display means for displaying the number of documents read by the reading means is provided, and the number of documents displayed on the document number display means when the reread instruction means instructs to read the document again. Is corrected to the number of originals at the time when re-reading was instructed, so that the display indicating the number of originals read can be restored to the state before reading, and it is certain to which page the original will be read again. Can be confirmed.
[0108]
Further, according to the present invention, when the original is not read by the reading means, the invalid means for invalidating the operation of the re-reading instruction means is provided. Therefore, when the original cannot be read, the original is read again.
