Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a weather strip mounting structure that is mounted along the outer periphery of a door frame of an automobile door, and more particularly to a mounting structure at a corner portion of the door frame.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As shown in FIG. 3, a weather strip 5 is attached to the outer periphery of the door frame 2 of the front and rear doors 1 of the automobile so as to seal between the door frame 2 and the vehicle body when the door 1 is closed. It has become. A weather strip 6 is also attached to the outer periphery of the main body of the door 1. The weather strip 5 is fitted and attached to a retainer provided along the outer periphery of the door frame 2, and the weather strip 6 is generally attached to the outer periphery of the main body portion of the door 1 with a clip at a predetermined interval.
[0003]
By the way, the weather strip 5 is displaced with respect to the door frame 2 when the opening and closing of the door 1 are repeated. This will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4 for the rear door 1. The weather strip 5 includes an attachment base 51, a hollow seal portion 52, and a lip or hollow sub seal portion 53, and the attachment base 51 is fitted to a retainer 3 provided on the outer periphery of the door frame 2. When the door is closed, both seal portions 52 and 53 abut against the door opening edge of the vehicle body. The weather strip 5 is formed by forming L-shaped molds along the corner portion C of the door frame 2 from the weather strips 5A and 5B obtained by extrusion molding of rubber-like elastic material such as EPDM rubber or olefinic thermoplastic elastomer (TPO). It is formed by connecting at the corner portion 5C.
[0004]
The door 1 is hinged to the vehicle body and pivoted about the front end edge to open and close. Therefore, when the door is closed, the portion of the weather strip 5 attached to the upper horizontal portion of the door frame 2 along the roof side is sequentially pressed against the door opening edge of the vehicle body from the front end side to the rear end side. A force is applied to the weather strip 5 to push it backward (in the direction of arrow P). For this reason, at the corner portion C at the upper end of the rear portion of the door frame 2 due to repeated opening and closing of the door, the molded corner portion 5C may float from the retainer 3 as shown in FIG. The sealing performance at the corner portion C of the door frame 2 may be reduced.
[0005]
FIG. 5 shows an example of a conventional measure for preventing this lifting, and uses a locking member 9. The locking member 9 is made of hard synthetic resin, has an L shape along the base surface of the molded corner portion 5C of the weather strip 5, and has grip portions 91a and 91b whose cross-sectional shapes are along the retainer 3 of the door frame 2 at both ends. It has. Ribs 54 a and 54 b are formed on the base bottom surface of the mounting base portion 51 of the weather strip 5 so as to be parallel to each other at a distance from each other, thereby enhancing the sealing performance between the base bottom surface and the retainer 3. A concave surface 55 having a shape corresponding to the locking member 9 is formed on the base surface of the molded corner portion 5C. The locking member 9 is assembled to the corner portion 5C by fitting it to the concave surface 55 of the molded corner portion 5C.
[0006]
Then, the attachment base 51 of the corner portion 5C of the weather strip 5 is integrated with the locking member 9, and the grip portions 91a and 91b of the locking member 9 are fitted into holder cutout portions 34a and 34b formed on the retainer 3. Fit into the retainer 3. As a result, the molded corner portion 5C of the weather strip 5 is reinforced by the locking member 9 and positioned and fixed, and the molded corner portion 5C is not displaced due to opening and closing of the door, and does not rise.
[0007]
As shown in FIG. 5A, the core punch hole 56 used for forming the hollow seal portion 51 remains in the attachment base portion 51 of the mold corner portion 5C. The opening 561 that opens at a predetermined interval in the slit-shaped core punching hole 56 is a portion corresponding to a rib formed on the leg portion in order to give strength to the leg portion of the thin core.
[0008]
In addition, the door frame 2 generally forms a corner portion C by welding a substantially horizontal rear end of the transverse member 2A and an upper end of the vertical member 2B in a substantially L shape. The retainer 3 is formed with a holder portion 31 along the side edge on the vehicle inner side. Generally, when the transverse member 2A and the vertical member 2B are welded, the end portions of the holder portion 31 on the side of the transverse member 2A and the side of the vertical member 2B are notched, and the holder portion 31 is a notch portion having an L shape at the corner center. They are separated by 33a and 33b.
[0009]
By the way, this misalignment prevention measure has the following problems. That is, in the molded corner portion 5C, the ribs 54a and 54b on the base surface of the weather strip 5 are divided by the grip portions 91a and 91b of the locking member 9, and the grip portions 91a and 91b of the locking member 9 and the retainer Since 3 is a contact between hard materials, the sealing property between them is not sufficient. For this reason, on the horizontal side of the molded corner portion 5C, there is a possibility that car wash water or rainwater may pass under the grip portion 91a of the locking member 9 and leak to the vehicle compartment side. Further, since the joint between the grip portions 91a and 91b and the bottom surface of the mounting base 51 crosses the bottom surface, if there is a gap in the joint, water may leak from the gap.
[0010]
In addition, as another measure for preventing sagging and floating of the molded corner portion 5C , an L-shaped hard insert member is embedded in the corner portion 5C.
[0011]
However, this measure is not a practical measure because the mold structure becomes complicated due to the insert molding, and the insert member cannot be embedded depending on the shape of the weather strip. In addition, even if the insert member is embedded, a slack-like deformation does not occur in the molded corner portion 5C, but when the horizontal portion of the weather strip 5 is pushed backward, the corner portion 5C retains the L-shaped original shape. As it is tilted backwards, it floats up. Therefore, it is conceivable to form a protruding portion that protrudes outside the corner portion 5C on the insert member, and to fix this to the door frame 2 by screwing or clipping. This is not a practical measure because it is necessary to form a corresponding fixing portion and perform drilling on the fixing portion.
[0012]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Accordingly, the present invention provides a weather strip mounting structure that is mounted on the outer periphery of a door frame via a retainer, and prevents the weather strip from being lifted by opening and closing the door by holding the corner portion of the weather strip on the door frame. Provided is a weather strip mounting structure that is capable of preventing lifting and preventing the sealability between the weather strip and the retainer from being hindered, and that does not require the retainer to be processed to prevent lifting. Is made as an issue.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention relates to a weather strip mounting structure that is mounted on the outer periphery of a door frame of an automobile door via a retainer. The weather strip is integrally provided with a mounting base and a hollow seal portion, and the retainer has a side edge thereof. In the weather strip mounting structure, in which the L-shaped corner portion at the upper end of the rear portion of the door frame is cut out and the L-shaped corner portion of the weather strip is attached to the corner portion. On the bottom surface of the mounting base portion of the molded corner portion, ribs that seal between the bottom surface and the retainer are formed in series in the longitudinal direction of the mold molded corner portion on the outer half of the width direction vehicle, A half portion of the bottom side in the width direction of the vehicle is formed in a concave surface, and an L-shaped reinforcing member made of a hard synthetic resin is fitted into the concave surface so as to be flush with the general portion of the bottom surface. Department And first and second claw portions protruding from the side edges of the vertical portion, respectively, and the protruding ends of these claw portions are respectively cut out to engage the horizontal side edge and the vertical side edge of the retainer. (Claim 1).

[0021]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
An embodiment of the present invention will be described with a focus on a corner portion of a weather strip.
[0022]
The basic structure of the weather strip is substantially the same as the conventional structure described above. As shown in FIG. 4, the corner portion of the weather strip 5 attached to the corner portion C at the upper rear end of the door frame 2 is It is formed by a molded corner portion 5C that connects the extruded weather strips 5A and 5B. The weather strips 5A and 5B are made of a rubber-like elastic material such as EPDM rubber or olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer, and include a mounting base 51, a hollow seal 52, and a lip-shaped sub-seal 53. On the bottom surface of the mounting base 51, ribs 54a and 54b (FIG. 5A) extending in the longitudinal direction in parallel with each other are formed.
[0023]
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the molded corner portion 5C has the same material and basically the same cross-sectional shape as the weather strips 5A and 5B of extrusion molding. However, the hollow portion of the seal portion 52 and the lightening portion 511 of the attachment base portion 51 are formed in a communication space. As shown in FIG. 5, a slit-shaped core hole 56 in which the opening 561 opens at a predetermined interval extends in the longitudinal direction of the attachment base 51 of the molded corner portion 5 </ b> C. Further, a concave surface 58 is formed on the bottom surface of the mounting base portion 51 of the molded corner portion 5C for fitting and bonding a reinforcing member 7 described later.
[0024]
The reinforcing member 7 is an integrally molded body of hard synthetic resin, and projects from the one side edge of the main body 71 to the outer side (upward) in a flange shape over the entire length from one side edge of the main body 71. And a pair of first and second claw portions 73a and 73b that protrude from both sides of the bending center of the other side edge to face each other. The protrusion 72 has a plurality of thick portions 721 formed at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction. The claw portions 73a and 73b protrude outwardly in a direction perpendicular to the side edge of the main body portion 71 and flush with the surface of the main body portion 71, and the tip end portion is bent into a square shape and extends obliquely downward.
[0025]
On the bottom surface of the mounting base portion 51 of the molded corner portion 5C, a concave surface 58 having a shape surrounding the reinforcing member 7 including the claw portions 73a and 73b is formed in a half portion in the width direction which is the inside of the vehicle when the weather strip is attached. It is. Ribs 54a connected to the ribs of the extruded weather strips 5A and 5B extend in a series in the longitudinal direction in the half of the bottom surface of the vehicle outside. The depth of the concave surface 58 is the same as the plate thickness of the main body 71 of the reinforcing member 7.
[0026]
The reinforcing member 7 is fitted into the concave surface 58 and bonded with an adhesive. At this time, the flange-like projecting portion 72 is fitted and bonded while being inserted into the slit-like core hole 56 and the thick-walled portion 721 is inserted into the opening portion 561, thereby facilitating the work. The reinforcing member 7 fitted and bonded is flush with the general portion of the bottom surface surrounding the reinforcing member 7.
[0027]
The door frame 2 is substantially the same as the conventional structure, and as shown in FIG. 5 (C), the transverse member 2A and the vertical member 2B are welded to form a corner portion C, and the door portion 2 is provided at the corner portion C. In the right-angled corner portion of the retainer 3, the holder portion 31 along the side edge on the inner side of the vehicle is notched on the horizontal side and the vertical side to form holder notch portions 33a and 33b. Note that the notches 34a and 34b shown in FIG. 5B are not formed.
[0028]
As shown in FIG. 1 (B), the molded corner portion 5C of the weather strip 5 to which the reinforcing member 7 is assembled is connected to the retainer 3 of the corner portion C of the door frame 2 with the first and second claw portions 73a, 73b is fitted so as to protrude from the notches 33a and 33b of the retainer 3, respectively. In the figure, 8 is a door opening edge of the vehicle body. The widths of the claw portions 73a and 73b are such that when the molded corner portion is fitted, the first claw portion 33a is positioned at the notch end of the horizontal cutout portion 33a and the second claw portion 33b is cut off at the vertical side. The width is set to be in contact with the notch ends of the notch portion 33b via the extending portions 511a and 511b of the attachment base 51 of the weather strip surrounding the side edges of the claw portions 73a and 73b, respectively. The lengths of the claw portions 73a and 73b and the bending angle of the tip portion are set so that the holder portion 31 is cut out and pressed against the edge of the side edge of the retainer 3.
[0029]
In this way, the molded corner portion 5C of the weather strip 5 attached to the corner portion C of the door frame 2 of the automobile is provided with the reinforcing member 7 integrally therewith, so that it is not deformed by an external force. Further, the projecting ends of the claw portions 73a and 73b of the reinforcing member 7 are engaged with the holder cutout portions 33a and 33b of the corner portion C to provide resistance for preventing the mold forming corner portion 5C from moving. Furthermore, since the protrusion 72 of the reinforcing member 7 is inserted into the core hole 56 and the position of the mounting base 51 is fixed at the center in the width direction, the deformation in the width direction is restricted and the end portion of the retainer 3 is fixed. The holder 31 is firmly engaged. Furthermore, even if slight variations occur in the width dimensions of the claw portions 73a and 73b of the reinforcing member 7 and the holder notch portions 33a and 33b and the positional relationship between them, the side edges of the claw portions 73a and 73b and the holder notch portion 33a. , 33b are pressed against each other through a rubber-like elastic member of the mounting base 51 that absorbs the above-described variation, so that the claw portions 73a, 73b are prevented from being detached from the retainer 3.
[0030]
【The invention's effect】
Thus, in a car door in which the weatherstrip mold corner is attached to the door frame corner, even if a rearward force acts on the mold corner when the door is closed, the corner is integrated with the corner. Since the hard reinforcing member is provided on the corner, the corner shape is not deformed. Since the rigid reinforcing member is provided only in the inner half of the bottom surface of the weather strip attachment base, the sealing performance between the bottom surface of the weather strip and the retainer is not deteriorated. Further, since the claw portion of the reinforcing member is engaged with the holder notch portion of the corner portion that is normally provided in the retainer, it is not necessary to apply special processing to the retainer. And the molding corner part integral with the reinforcing member does not move backward or lift from the door frame.
