Description
【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to an airbag of a vehicle airbag device, and more particularly to a pressure adjusting mechanism that allows gas to escape from the airbag.
[0002]
[Prior art]
An airbag device is a device that inflates an airbag and protects an occupant in the event of a vehicle collision, and generally includes an inflator that is a gas generator and an airbag that is inflated and deployed by gas from the inflator.
[0003]
By the way, in a general air bag, when an occupant is restrained and pressurized, an internal pressure rises and a vent hole for allowing gas to escape appropriately is formed, but this vent hole is always open. In order to deploy the airbag instantaneously, it is necessary to supply the inflator gas in anticipation of the amount of gas that escapes from the vent hole.
[0004]
Therefore, for example, as described in JP-A-4-306147, the side portion of the airbag is sewn so that multiple pleats can be formed, and the vent hole is concealed in the pleats before the inflation is completed. A method for preventing inflator gas discharge from a vent hole is known. That is, before the inflation is completed, the airbag prevents gas from being discharged from the vent hole and reduces the filling amount of the gas generating agent. On the other hand, when the airbag reaches a predetermined internal pressure, the pleats are sewn. By releasing, the vent hole is released and the original function of the vent hole is achieved.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, since the conventional airbag has a special structure as described above in the vent hole portion, it is difficult to fold, and the volume of the package after folding increases, and the same airbag case as a normal airbag Have problems such as being unable to share.
[0006]
The present invention deals with the actual situation as described above, and by making a specific slit at the vent hole position of the airbag, the flexibility of the airbag is maintained as it is, and the airbag is folded by a normal method to obtain a package volume. The purpose is to have no effect.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
That is, the air pressure adjusting mechanism of the present invention that meets the above-mentioned purpose is characterized in that two rows of broken slit groups having substantially the same pitch and substantially the same pitch are formed in the woven fabric constituting the airbag substantially in parallel with the woven yarn. The slits are arranged alternately in each row so that the slits in the other row are located on the sides of the slit gaps in one row, and the ends of the slits adjacent to the diagonal sides They are formed so as to partially overlap each other in the direction perpendicular to the slit.
[0008]
In the pressure adjusting mechanism of the present invention, the cloth constituting the airbag may be coated with rubber or resin.
[0009]
It is also possible to form a cross shape using two sets of the slit group. Furthermore, while vent holes are formed in the airbag in advance, the vent holes can be closed with cloth, and slit groups can be formed in the closing cloth.
[0010]
On the other hand, the slit group and the inflator mounting hole of the airbag are formed in one continuous cloth, and the slit of the slit group is connected to the line connecting the vicinity of the center of the slit group and the center of the inflator mounting hole. It is also preferable to set the direction of 45 ° ± 22.5.
[0011]
[Action]
The air bag pressure adjusting mechanism according to the present invention prevents a large amount of inflator gas from flowing out without breaking the slit group when the internal pressure of the deployed airbag is low, and the internal pressure of the air bag becomes a predetermined value. When the pressure reaches, the slit group is broken by the internal pressure and opens as a vent hole for releasing the inflator gas.
[0012]
At this time, the fracture of the slit group spreads in a zigzag shape from the end of the slit in one row to the end of the slit in the other row. This is because the inflator gas that tries to pass through the slit crosses the slit in the width direction. In order to spread the slits, the ends of each of the slits spread apart are torn in the direction perpendicular to each other, so that the slits between the adjacent slits become continuous, and the zigzag break is formed. The
[0013]
That is, in the present invention, the breaking strength of the slit group can be easily changed by adjusting the interval between the rows of the slit group, the slit length, and the like.

[0027]
While the embodiments of the present invention have been described with reference to the airbag for a driver's seat, the configuration as the gist of the present invention is effective even when used for a passenger's seat and other vehicle airbags.
[0028]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the pressure adjusting mechanism for an airbag according to the present invention is formed by forming two rows of broken-line slit groups having substantially the same pitch and substantially the same pitch on the woven fabric that constitutes the airbag substantially in parallel with the woven yarn. In addition, the slits in the other row are alternately shifted so that the slits in the other row are positioned on the sides of the slit gap in one row, and the ends of the slits adjacent to each other on the oblique sides are Each of them is formed so as to partially overlap in the direction perpendicular to the slits. Since the vent holes are opened by the two rows of slits, a special material or structure as in the conventional case is not required in the vent hole portion. Remarkable that the flexibility of the bag is not impaired, thereby making it easy to fold and reducing the package volume of the airbag, and further, the opening pressure of the vent hole can be easily set by the slit size. It is intended to achieve the effect.
