Description
有機ELパネル1は、画素E11〜Emnがマトリクス状に配設されてなるものである。画素E11〜Emnは、縦方向に複数設けられた走査ラインS1〜Smと、走査ラインS1〜Smと直交するように横方向に複数設けられたドライブラインD1〜Dnとの交差箇所に設けられている。画素E11〜Emnは、並列配置されたダイオード及びコンデンサからなる等価回路で表される(図7参照)。ただし、図面が煩雑になることを防ぐため、図8及び図9においては発光する画素E11〜Emnをダイオードのみで、発光しない画素E11〜Emnをコンデンサのみで図示している。

Claims (8)
- 複数の走査ライン及び複数のドライブラインを有するドットマトリクス型の有機ELパネルと、前記走査ラインを第一電位または第二電位に接続自在とする走査スイッチ手段と、前記ドライブラインを駆動電流源またはオフ電位に接続自在とするドライブスイッチ手段と、前記走査スイッチ手段によって前記走査ラインを前記第一電位に接続させ前記走査ラインを順次選択すると共に前記ドライブスイッチ手段の接続状態を制御する制御手段と、を有する有機EL表示装置であって、
前記制御手段は、前記駆動電流源に接続する前記ドライブラインの個数に応じて、前記第二電位に接続され非選択状態となる前記走査ラインに対応する前記走査スイッチ手段の抵抗値を少なくとも2段階に変えることを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 前記走査スイッチ手段は、前記走査ラインを前記第一電位に接続させる第一のトランジスタと、前記走査ラインを前記第二電位に接続する第二のトランジスタと、を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機EL表示装置。
- 前記制御手段は、前記駆動電流源に接続する前記ドライブラインの個数に応じて、前記第二電位に接続され非選択状態となる前記走査ラインに対応する前記第二のトランジスタのバイアス電圧を変えることによって、前記抵抗値を変えることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の有機EL表示装置。
- 前記有機ELパネルの温度を検出し、温度データを出力する温度検出手段を有すると共に、
前記制御手段は、前記駆動電流源に接続する前記ドライブラインの個数と前記温度データとに応じて、前記二電位に接続する前記走査スイッチ手段の前記抵抗値を変えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機EL表示装置。 - 複数の走査ライン及び複数のドライブラインを有するドットマトリクス型の有機ELパネルと、前記走査ラインを第一電位または第二電位に接続自在とする走査スイッチ手段と、前記ドライブラインを駆動電流源またはオフ電位に接続自在とするドライブスイッチ手段と、前記走査スイッチ手段によって前記走査ラインを前記第一電位に接続させ前記走査ラインを順次選択すると共に前記ドライブスイッチ手段の接続状態を制御する制御手段と、を有する有機EL表示装置であって、
前記走査スイッチ手段は、前記走査ラインを前記第一電位に接続させる第一のトランジスタと、前記走査ラインを前記第二電位に接続する第二のトランジスタと、を有し、
前記制御手段は、前記駆動電流源に接続する前記ドライブラインの個数に応じて、前記第二電位に接続され非選択状態となる前記走査ラインに対応する前記第二のトランジスタのバイアス電圧を変えることを特徴とする有機EL表示装置。 - 走査スイッチ手段にて複数の走査ラインを第一電位または第二電位に夫々接続すると共に、ドライブスイッチ手段にて複数のドライブラインを駆動電流源またはオフ電位に夫々接続する有機EL表示装置の駆動方法であって、
前記走査スイッチ手段は、前記走査ラインを前記第一電位に接続させる第一のトランジスタと、前記走査ラインを前記第二電位に接続する第二のトランジスタと、を有し、
前記駆動電流源に接続する前記ドライブラインの個数に応じて、前記第二電位に接続され非選択状態となる前記走査ラインに対応する前記第二のトランジスタのバイアス電圧を変えることによって、前記第二電位に接続する前記走査スイッチ手段の抵抗値を少なくとも2段階に変えることを特徴とする有機EL表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記駆動電流源に接続する前記ドライブラインの個数と前記有機ELパネルの温度とに応じて、前記二電位に接続する前記走査スイッチ手段の抵抗値を変えることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機EL表示装置の駆動方法。
- 走査スイッチ手段にて複数の走査ラインを第一電位または第二電位に夫々接続すると共に、ドライブスイッチ手段にて複数のドライブラインを駆動電流源またはオフ電位に夫々接続する有機EL表示装置の駆動方法であって、
前記走査スイッチ手段は、前記走査ラインを前記第一電位に接続させる第一のトランジスタと、前記走査ラインを前記第二電位に接続する第二のトランジスタと、を有し、
前記駆動電流源に接続する前記ドライブラインの個数に応じて、前記第二電位に接続され非選択状態となる前記走査ラインに対応する前記第二のトランジスタのバイアス電圧を変えることを特徴とする有機EL表示装置の駆動方法。
