Description
【0001】
透明電極2は、例えばITO(indium tin oxide)でなり、アノード電極として機能する。

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the electroluminescent element as described above, since the transparent electrode as the anode electrode is made of ITO, the sheet resistance value is large. For this reason, when the light emitting area of the electroluminescent element is increased, it flows into the
[0004]
By the way, if it is going to form this electroluminescent element on the synthetic resin substrate which has flexibility instead of the glass substrate 1, since the high temperature process for the low resistance of ITO cannot be performed, the sheet resistance of ITO will be on the glass substrate. There is a problem that the influence of luminance unevenness is increased. In addition, the ITO film on the synthetic resin substrate is easily broken as it is bent, which causes a problem that light emission defects (deterioration of in-plane uniformity, etc.) of the electroluminescence element occur.
[0005]
The problem to be solved by the present invention lies in what means should be taken to obtain an electroluminescent device capable of performing uniform surface light emission.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention according to claim 1 is composed of an electroluminescent layer provided between the transparent electrode and the counter electrode, and a material having a resistance value lower than that of the material of the transparent electrode, connected to the transparent electrode, and connected to the transparent electrode. A low-resistance conductive layer having an opening in a contact portion; and a material having a resistance lower than that of the transparent electrode, interposed between the transparent electrode and the low-resistance conductive layer, and the transparent electrode and the low-resistance conductive layer And a buffer layer for preventing a battery reaction between them.
[0007]
In the first aspect of the invention, even if the transparent electrode has a relatively high resistance, a low resistance conductive layer having a uniform continuous pattern is laminated on the transparent electrode. The potential drop at the portion can be suppressed. For this reason, current supply to the electroluminescent layer can be performed uniformly, and uniform surface light emission can be performed.
