ところでこのような従来のケースは、コンパクトディスクを保護するためにケース本体サイズも重量も必要以上に大きくなり、郵送に際し定形郵便扱いにならず郵便料が高くなるという問題点があった。すなわち我が国の郵便法には定形郵便制度があり、郵便物が定形条件内にあれば郵送代が安くなる。

この定形条件の寸法は短辺が9cmから12cm,長辺が14cmから23.5cmで厚みが1cm以内、重量が50g以内である。ところがCD−ROMの直径は12cmであるため、短辺の外形最大寸法が12cmの封筒には物理的にまらない。

しかしながら、前記従来技術である封筒内に緩衝材を介在してその緩衝材の間にコンパクトディスクを挟み込むものや組立紙箱により郵送するものは、重量やサイズを規定内におさめることが難しく、また材料費もかさむばかりか、コンパクトディスクを収納する作業などが煩わしかった。この発明は、これらの点に鑑み多量のコンパクトディスクを迅速に安全確実に、しかも規定の郵便料金で簡単に収納できるコンパクトディスク収納用ケースを提供することを目的とするものである。

本発明のコンパクトディスク収納用ケース用紙は、上記の目的を達成するために、
