【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a rear wheel steering device, and more particularly to a vehicle rear wheel steering device in which a rear side of a vehicle body is supported by a rear front shaft and a rear shaft.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a truck with a large carrying load, most of this load cannot be supported by a single rear shaft. Therefore, a rear 2-axis track has been widely used. In particular, when the rear two shafts are suspended by the trunnion type suspension device, it is possible to eliminate the load imbalance between the rear front shaft and the rear shaft and to receive the load stably on both shafts.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the case of a truck that has two rear shafts and these two shafts are suspended by a trunnion type suspension device, the total load of the two shafts is intermediate between the rear front shaft and the rear shaft, that is, the mounting position of the trunnion bracket. Will receive. That is, even with the rear two axes, the position where the load is received is one point in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a large load is supported at this position.
[0004]
In such a rear two-axis truck, in order to reduce the load applied to the front wheels made of a single tire, the rear two axes may be moved forward as a whole. That is, the load on the front shaft is reduced by biasing the mounting position of the trunnion bracket toward the front side of the vehicle. However, when the rear two axes are moved forward together, the length of the overhang portion on the rear end side becomes longer than the rear axis. Therefore, the rear end of the vehicle swings left and right when turning, which causes a problem in safety.
[0005]
In order to keep the length of the overhang portion extending after the rear shaft within a certain range and to reduce the load applied to the front wheel, the rear front shaft is moved forward, the rear front shaft and the rear shaft Is to increase the distance between. However, if the rear front shaft, which cannot be steered, is largely deviated forward with respect to the rear shaft, the wheels of the rear front shaft will be unevenly worn during turning, thereby causing a problem that the life of the tire is remarkably shortened.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of such a problem, and reduces the load applied to the front wheel by supporting most of the load load with the rear two shafts. Moreover, any wheel of the rear front shaft and the rear shaft is provided. An object of the present invention is to provide a rear wheel steering device that prevents uneven wear of the tire.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention provides a vehicle rear wheel steering apparatus in which the rear side of a vehicle body is supported by a rear front shaft and a rear shaft.
At the both ends of the rear front axle or rear axle axle, a rear front wheel or rear rear wheel is attached via a king pin so as to be steerable,
The rotational moment generated on the rear shaft or the rear front shaft by the reaction force received from the road surface by the driving wheel attached to the rear shaft or the rear front shaft is transmitted to the rear front shaft or the rear rear shaft via the transmission means and rotated. The present invention relates to a rear wheel steering apparatus in which the king pin is attached with a caster angle regardless of the traveling direction of the vehicle .
Here, the transmission means includes a rear shaft to which a driving wheel is attached or an arm extending up and down on the rear front shaft, an intermediate lever disposed between the rear front shaft and the rear shaft, and the arm. And a rod that connects the intermediate lever and the rear front shaft or the rear rear shaft, and a rotational moment generated on the rear shaft or the rear front shaft to which the drive wheel is attached by a reaction force that the drive wheel receives from the road surface. Then, it transmits to the rear front shaft or the rear shaft via the intermediate lever and the rod to rotate the rear front shaft or the rear shaft, thereby changing the mounting posture of the king pin according to the traveling direction of the vehicle It is desirable that the king pin has a caster angle regardless of the traveling direction of the vehicle.
[0008]
In a preferred aspect of the present invention, the distance between the rear front shaft and the rear rear shaft that supports the rear side of the vehicle body is set to 1500 mm or more, more preferably 1800 mm or more, and the distance between the front shaft and the rear shaft. The rear front shaft and the rear shaft are arranged so that the distance between the rear front shaft and the rear shaft with respect to the distance is 20% or more, more preferably 27% or more. Then, the rear wheels are made stationary wheels that cannot be steered, and the rear front wheels are attached to the rear front shaft so as to be steerable left and right. In addition, the king pin attached to the rear front shaft so that the rear front wheel can be steered has a caster angle, and the rear front wheel performs self-steering by such a caster angle.
[0009]
Such self-steering of the rear front wheels changes the mounting posture of the kingpin according to the traveling direction of the vehicle so that the kingpin always has a caster angle regardless of the traveling direction of the vehicle. In this way, the rear front wheel always performs self-steering regardless of whether the vehicle is traveling forward or backward.
[0010]
Such a change in the mounting posture of the king pin may be performed by rotating the rear front shaft by an actuator such as a hydraulic cylinder in accordance with a change in the traveling direction of the vehicle. Alternatively, the rear wheel on which the rear wheel constituting the drive wheel is mounted uses the rotational moment due to the reaction force from the road surface when the vehicle is traveling, and the rotational moment due to such reaction force is transmitted to the rear front shaft. You may make it perform. The rear front wheel self-steering function as described above may not always be necessary during high-speed driving. Therefore, in such a case, the knuckle of the rear front wheel may be fixed via the steering mechanism using an actuator or the like so that the self-steer function of the rear front wheel is reduced and the rear front wheel is a fixed wheel.

As described above, the present invention provides a vehicle rear wheel steering apparatus in which the rear side of a vehicle body is supported by a rear front shaft and a rear shaft, and a king pin is provided at each end of the rear front shaft or the rear shaft axle. The rear front wheel or the rear rear wheel is mounted so as to be steerable, and the rotational moment generated on the rear shaft or the rear front shaft by the reaction force received from the road surface by the driving wheel mounted on the rear shaft or the rear front shaft is transmitted via the transmission means. The kingpin is mounted with a caster angle regardless of the traveling direction of the vehicle, and is transmitted to the rear front shaft or the rear shaft and rotated .
[0040]
Therefore, the rear front wheel or the rear rear wheel performs self-steering by the force that the rear front wheel or the rear rear wheel receives from the road surface during traveling of the vehicle, thereby preventing uneven wear of the tires of the rear front wheel or the rear rear wheel. This also makes it possible to mount the rear front shaft in a state in which the rear front shaft is largely deviated forward from the rear shaft.
[0041]
According to the configuration in which the means for changing the mounting posture of the kingpin according to the traveling direction of the vehicle is provided and the kingpin has a caster angle regardless of the traveling direction of the vehicle, the vehicle moves backward as well as when the vehicle moves forward. Even in this case, the rear front wheel or the rear rear wheel performs self-steering, and therefore, uneven wear of the tires of the rear front wheel or the rear rear wheel is prevented in both cases of forward movement and reverse movement.
