Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention provides an electronic device that includes attached data that cannot be displayed on a mobile device such as a mobile phone, a simple mobile phone (PHS: Personal Handyphone System), and an information portable terminal (PDA: Personal Data Assistant). The present invention relates to a print service system for printing attached data when an email is transmitted.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, cellular phones, PHSs (simple cellular phones), and the like as wireless telephones can handle transmission / reception of electronic mail using the Internet like a personal computer as one of information services.
[0003]
In such a system, a mail server is installed in a network center, and an e-mail delivered to each wireless phone via the Internet is received on behalf of the mail server. Then, it is set so that it is converted into mail data having a system-specific format and transmitted to each telephone.
[0004]
By the way, e-mails originally have a function to send document data and image data created by application software on PCs attached to text data that is the main text, and are widely used among PCs. .
[0005]
However, in the above-described mail system for a radio telephone, the attached data included in the e-mail cannot be converted into mail data that can be recognized by the telephone except for the attached data unique to the radio telephone system. Also, it does not have the ability to process attached data on the wireless telephone side.
[0006]
For this reason, conventionally, the mail server is set to delete such attached data and transmit an e-mail to each wireless telephone.
[0007]
On the other hand, in order to make use of such attached data to be deleted, an electronic mail transfer apparatus described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 11-167534 discloses a system for printing attached data on a mail server.
[0008]
Further, in the information output device described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 11-161457, a terminal that has received an e-mail containing attached data that cannot be recognized by the telephone sends the e-mail to a special printing device that can process the attached data. A system for transferring is disclosed.
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the conventional print service system disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 11-167534 has a problem in that it is necessary to go to the mail server installation location for print documents.
[0010]
Further, in the print service system disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 11-161457, since the entire electronic mail is transmitted to a terminal that can recognize attached data, useless communication processing increases and communication cost is reduced. It has the problem of inviting an increase. Further, as in the case of printing with the mail server described above, it is necessary to go to the transfer destination to get the printed matter.
[0011]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described conventional problems, and an object of the present invention is to transmit the attached data that cannot be recognized by a mobile device such as a cellular phone by using the nearest printer connected to the wide area network. It is an object of the present invention to provide a printing service system that can print without increasing the number.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, a print service system according to the present invention includes a plurality of printing apparatuses connected to a wide area network, and a print server that manages each printing apparatus connected to the wide area network via the wide area network. A mail server connected to the wide area network and relaying an e-mail sent to a wireless telephone. The mail server receives the e-mail when the e-mail including the attached data is received. A receiving contact means for contacting the wireless telephone to the effect, and an attached data separation ID transmitting means for separating the attached data from the received e-mail and transmitting the separated attached data and user ID to the print server. The server includes storage means for storing the attached data and the user ID in association with each other, user I Each of the printing apparatuses is provided with an ID input means for inputting a user ID, and is input from any one of the plurality of printing apparatuses. The user ID is notified to the print server, and the print server retrieves the attached data corresponding to the notified user ID, and transfers the data to the printing apparatus for printing.
[0013]
First, in the conventional printing service system, when an electronic mail is received by a wireless telephone and the attached data that cannot be displayed by the wireless telephone is added to the electronic mail, the mail server and the attached data can be recognized. Since the entire electronic mail is transmitted to the terminal for printing processing, there is a problem that unnecessary communication processing increases and communication costs increase. In addition, in order to obtain a printed document, there is a problem that it is necessary to go to a mail server or a transfer destination printer installation location.
[0014]
In the present invention, a print service system is connected to a plurality of printing apparatuses connected to a wide area network, a print server that manages each printing apparatus connected to the wide area network, and the wide area network. In addition, it consists of a mail server that relays e-mails sent to wireless telephones. If multiple printing devices are scattered in each location, the user can collect printed documents at the nearest printing device installation location. This is convenient because it is not necessary to go to the mail server or forwarding destination.
[0015]
Next, in the present invention, the mail server separates the attached data from the received e-mail and the receiving contact means for notifying the wireless telephone of the reception of the e-mail when the e-mail including the attached data is received. And an attached data separation ID transmission means for transmitting the separated attachment data and the user ID to the print server.
[0016]
For this reason, when the mail server receives the electronic mail including the attached data, the mail server notifies the wireless telephone of the reception of the electronic mail including the attached data by the reception contact means. Thereby, the user who is the owner of the wireless telephone can know that the electronic mail including the attached data has arrived.
[0017]
On the other hand, the attached data separation ID transmitting means of the mail server separates the attached data from the received electronic mail, and transmits the separated attached data and user ID to the print server.
[0018]
Here, since the print server includes a storage unit that stores the attached data and the user ID in association with each other, when the attached data and the user ID described above are transmitted to the print server, the attached data corresponds to the user ID. Then, it is stored in the storage means.
[0019]
Next, each of the printing apparatuses described above includes an ID input unit for inputting a user ID. For this reason, the user can input the user ID on any one of the plurality of printing apparatuses.
[0020]
When the user inputs a user ID from any one of the plurality of printing apparatuses, the printing apparatus notifies the print server.
[0021]
Based on this notification, the print server has a search means for searching the corresponding attached data from the user ID. Therefore, the search means searches for the attached data corresponding to the notified user ID, and the user ID is input. And the attached data is printed by the printing device.
[0022]
As a result, the user can print the attached data at the nearest place, that is, the nearest printing device, when necessary, even if the attached data is attached to the e-mail received on the go.
[0023]
In addition, when printing, it is possible to send only the attached data, not the entire electronic mail including the attached data, to the printing apparatus for printing. For this reason, the transmission cost is lower than when the entire body of the e-mail is transmitted to the printing apparatus after the text of the e-mail is acquired by the wireless telephone.
[0024]
Therefore, it is possible to provide a print service system that can print attached data that cannot be recognized by a mobile device such as a mobile phone, without increasing communication costs, using the nearest printer connected to a wide area network.
[0025]
In order to solve the above problems, the print service system of the present invention is characterized in that, in the print service system described above, the print server includes conversion means for converting the attached data into print data that can be printed by a printing apparatus that has requested printing. It is characterized by having.
[0026]
According to the above invention, the print server includes the conversion means for converting the attached data into print data that can be printed by the printing apparatus that has requested printing.
[0027]
For this reason, even if the attached data is described in a special image format and cannot be directly printed depending on the printing apparatus, the conversion means of the print server converts the print data that can be printed by the printing apparatus requested to print. Since the conversion is performed, the printing apparatus may not be a high-end model that can also handle a special image format.
[0028]
As a result, even if the attached data added to the e-mail is in any format, it can be printed by the nearest printing apparatus.
[0029]
In order to solve the above problems, the print service system of the present invention is such that, in the print service system described above, the mail server associates the mail address with the telephone number of the wireless telephone that is the transmission destination as a user ID. While you can
The ID input unit of the printing apparatus includes a telephone number acquisition unit that receives a radio wave transmitted from an approaching wireless telephone and acquires the telephone number, and uses the telephone number acquired by the telephone number acquisition unit as a user ID. It is characterized by that.
[0030]
According to the above invention, the mail server can associate the mail address with the telephone number of the wireless telephone that is the transmission destination as the user ID. The ID input unit of the printing apparatus includes a telephone number acquisition unit that receives a radio wave transmitted from an approaching wireless telephone and acquires the telephone number. The telephone number acquired by the telephone number acquisition unit is a user ID. Used as Note that this telephone number acquisition means works because general radio telephones such as mobile phones constantly transmit weak radio waves to inform their location, and the telephone number is acquired by receiving these radio waves. It can be done.
[0031]
As a result, when the user has a wireless telephone and approaches the printing apparatus, the printing apparatus receives the radio wave transmitted from the approaching wireless telephone by the telephone number acquisition means and acquires the telephone number. Can do. In the mail server, the telephone number can be associated with the mail address and the telephone number of the wireless telephone that is the transmission destination as a user ID.
[0032]
For this reason, the user can input the telephone number as the user ID only by approaching the printing apparatus without directly inputting the user ID by the ID input means of the printing apparatus.
[0033]
As a result, the user does not have to input a user ID to the printing apparatus when printing the attached data.
[0034]
Therefore, it is possible to provide a printing service system with good operability.
[0035]
In order to solve the above problems, the print service system of the present invention is characterized in that, in the print service system described above, the mail server includes a confirmation means for confirming a processing method of attached data with respect to a wireless telephone. .
[0036]
According to the above invention, the mail server includes the confirmation unit that confirms the processing method of the attached data with respect to the wireless telephone.
[0037]
For this reason, the mail server can confirm how the user wants to process the attached data by the confirmation means.
[0038]
As a result, since it is possible to confirm with the user whether or not the attached data needs to be printed, unnecessary printing can be avoided.
[0039]
In order to solve the above problems, the printing service system of the present invention has a telephone number notifying unit for notifying the print server of the telephone number acquired by the telephone number acquiring unit in the printing service system described above. On the other hand, the print server is characterized by starting transfer of attached data corresponding to the notified telephone number.
[0040]
According to the above invention, the printing apparatus includes the telephone number notifying unit that notifies the print server of the telephone number acquired by the telephone number acquiring unit, while the print server includes the attached data corresponding to the notified telephone number. Start the transfer.
[0041]
For this reason, the telephone number notifying unit of the printing apparatus notifies the print server of the telephone number acquired by the telephone number acquiring unit. As a result, the print server starts transferring the attached data corresponding to the notified telephone number.
[0042]
As a result, the print server can transfer the attached data to the printing apparatus in advance before the user instructs printing. Therefore, as described above, only when the user approaches the printing apparatus, the print server can transfer the attached data to the printing apparatus in advance.
[0043]
As a result, when the user instructs printing, the attached data is transferred from the print server to the printing apparatus, so that the printing apparatus can immediately perform printing.
[0044]
Therefore, the user can shorten the waiting time until printing is started.
[0045]

【The invention's effect】
As described above, the print service system of the present invention includes a plurality of printing apparatuses connected to a wide area network, a print server that manages each printing apparatus connected to the wide area network, and the above wide area network. The mail server is connected to a network and relays an e-mail sent to a wireless telephone. On the other hand, when the e-mail server receives an e-mail including attached data, the e-mail is received by the wireless server. Receiving contact means for contacting the telephone, and attached data separation ID transmitting means for separating the attached data from the received e-mail and transmitting the separated attached data and user ID to the print server, the print server comprising: A storage means for storing the attached data and the user ID in association with each other, and a correspondence from the user ID A search unit for searching for attached data, and each of the printing devices includes an ID input unit for inputting a user ID, and a user ID input from any one of the plurality of printing devices. To the print server, and the print server searches the attached data corresponding to the notified user ID, transfers it to the printing apparatus, and prints it.
[0126]
Therefore, if a plurality of printing devices are scattered in various places, the user can take out the printed documents from the nearest printing device instead of going to a remote mail server or transfer destination. It is.
[0127]
Next, when the mail server receives the e-mail including the attached data, the reception contact means informs the wireless telephone of the reception of the e-mail including the attached data. Therefore, the user who owns the wireless telephone It is possible to know that an e-mail containing attached data has arrived.
[0128]
On the other hand, the attached data separation ID transmitting means of the mail server separates the attached data from the received electronic mail, and transmits the separated attached data and user ID to the print server.
[0129]
Here, since the print server includes a storage unit that stores the attached data and the user ID in association with each other, when the attached data and the user ID described above are transmitted to the print server, the attached data corresponds to the user ID. Then, it is stored in the storage means.
[0130]
Next, each of the printing apparatuses described above includes an ID input unit for inputting a user ID. For this reason, the user can input the user ID on any one of the plurality of printing apparatuses.
[0131]
When the user inputs a user ID from any one of the plurality of printing apparatuses, the printing apparatus notifies the print server.
[0132]
Based on this notification, the print server has a search means for searching the corresponding attached data from the user ID. Therefore, the search means searches for the attached data corresponding to the notified user ID, and the user ID is input. And the attached data is printed by the printing device.
[0133]
As a result, the user can print the attached data at the nearest place, that is, the nearest printing device, when necessary, even if the attached data is attached to the e-mail received on the go.
[0134]
In addition, when printing, it is possible to send only the attached data, not the entire electronic mail including the attached data, to the printing apparatus for printing. For this reason, the transmission cost is lower than when the entire body of the e-mail is transmitted to the printing apparatus after the text of the e-mail is acquired by the wireless telephone.
[0135]
Therefore, it is possible to provide a print service system that can print attached data that cannot be recognized by a mobile device such as a mobile phone, without increasing communication costs, using the nearest printer connected to a wide area network. Play.
[0136]
As described above, in the print service system of the present invention, in the print service system described above, the print server includes conversion means for converting the attached data into print data that can be printed by the printing apparatus that has requested printing. Is.
[0137]
Therefore, even when the attached data is described in a special image format and cannot be directly printed depending on the printing device, the conversion means of the print server converts the print data that can be printed by the printing device requested to print. Since the conversion is performed, the printing apparatus may not be a high-end model that can also handle a special image format.
[0138]
As a result, there is an effect that it is possible to print with the nearest printing apparatus regardless of the format of the attached data added to the e-mail.
[0139]
As described above, according to the print service system of the present invention, in the print service system described above, the mail server can associate the mail address with the telephone number of the wireless telephone that is the transmission destination as a user ID,
The ID input unit of the printing apparatus includes a telephone number acquisition unit that receives a radio wave transmitted from an approaching wireless telephone and acquires the telephone number, and uses the telephone number acquired by the telephone number acquisition unit as a user ID. Is.
[0140]
Therefore, only when the user has a wireless telephone and approaches the printing apparatus, the printing apparatus receives the radio wave transmitted from the approaching wireless telephone and acquires the telephone number by the telephone number acquisition means. Can do. In the mail server, the telephone number can be associated with the mail address and the telephone number of the wireless telephone that is the transmission destination as a user ID.
[0141]
For this reason, the user can input the telephone number as the user ID only by approaching the printing apparatus without directly inputting the user ID by the ID input means of the printing apparatus.
[0142]
As a result, since the user does not need to input a user ID to the printing apparatus when printing the attached data in the attached data, it is possible to provide a print service system with good operability.
[0143]
As described above, in the print service system according to the present invention, in the print service system described above, the mail server includes a confirmation unit that confirms the processing method of the attached data with respect to the wireless telephone.
[0144]
Therefore, the mail server can confirm how the user wants to process the attached data by the confirmation means.
[0145]
As a result, since it is possible to confirm to the user whether or not the attached data needs to be printed, there is an effect that unnecessary printing can be avoided.
[0146]
As described above, the printing service system according to the present invention includes a telephone number notifying unit that notifies the print server of the telephone number acquired by the telephone number acquiring unit. The server starts transferring attached data corresponding to the notified telephone number.
[0147]
Therefore, the print server can transfer the attached data to the printing apparatus in advance before the user instructs printing. Therefore, as described above, only when the user approaches the printing apparatus, the print server can transfer the attached data to the printing apparatus in advance.
[0148]
As a result, when the user instructs printing, the attached data is transferred from the print server to the printing apparatus, so that the printing apparatus can immediately perform printing.
[0149]
Therefore, the user can shorten the waiting time until printing is started.
