BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention removes deposits such as dross from the surface of a roll in a bath, such as a sink roll, immersed in a molten metal plating bath in a continuous molten metal plating line, and is generated on the surface of a metal strip. The present invention relates to a technology for preventing pressing.
In the following, an example will be described in which the molten metal in the molten metal plating bath is molten zinc and the metal band to be immersed is a steel band (sometimes referred to as a steel plate), but it is clear that the invention is not limited to these. is there.
[0002]
[Prior art]
First, a continuous hot dip galvanizing line will be described with reference to FIG.
The steel strip S introduced into the hot
[0003]
By the way, in the plating bath, in addition to zinc (Zn), it elutes from about 0.1 to 0.2% by mass of aluminum (Al) added to improve the adhesion and powdering properties of the plating layer and the steel strip. Contains incoming iron (Fe). These Zn, Fe, and Al components form an intermetallic compound called dross, and there are differences depending on the conditions of Al concentration and bath temperature, but FeZn 7 in which Fe and Zn are combined, Fe in which Fe and Al are combined 2 Al 5
[0004]
When continuous plating is carried out for a long time, these drosses adhere to the surface of the sink roll in the bath and the support roll in the bath (hereinafter collectively referred to as the bath roll). However, there is a problem in that the quality deteriorates due to a pressing flaw defect that damages the steel strip or causes local elongation of the steel strip.
Since this hot dip galvanized steel sheet is relatively inexpensive and excellent in rust prevention ability, it has been widely used as a steel sheet for automobiles and steel sheets for home appliances.
[0005]
In recent years, in particular, alloyed hot-dip galvanized steel sheets have come to be frequently used as automotive steel sheets, and the quality requirements of automobile manufacturers have become more severe than before, and there are minute defects on the surface of plated steel sheets. Even so, it has become unacceptable. Therefore, for the steel sheet supplier, the push defect caused by the dross adhesion to the roll surface in the bath is a larger problem.
[0006]
For this countermeasure, research has been conducted in the past, and for example, a technique for spraying ceramic on which the dross does not easily adhere to the surface of a sink roll which is a roll in a bath has been proposed. However, this technique cannot completely prevent dross from adhering to the surface of the sink roll.
Therefore, a method for mechanically removing foreign substances on the roll surface in the bath has been developed and already put into practical use. Specifically, it is a technique of pressing a blade (called a doctor blade) of the entire length in the axial direction against the roll surface in the bath and scraping off and removing the foreign matter. In the prior art, the doctor blade had to be uniformly contacted with the entire axial direction of the sink roll surface. However, this uniform contact is very difficult, and it is still necessary to make the both sides of the sink roll fully satisfactory. The current situation is not.
[0007]
In particular, doctor blades have the disadvantage of becoming worn with use and making uniform contact more difficult. Furthermore, when a part of the doctor blade is unevenly worn, it is necessary to replace the entire doctor blade for uniform contact, and there is a problem that the cost of the doctor blade increases.
For this reason, a method has already been developed in which the doctor blade is made narrower than the roll width and the narrowed doctor blade is moved in the axial direction of the roll to remove foreign matter.
[0008]
Some specific examples are shown below.
(1) Japanese Utility Model Publication No. Sho 61-16428, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. Hei 2-51253 Press a wiper blade narrower than the width of the roll in the bath or a scraper blade (that is, a doctor blade in this application) against the roll in the bath. A rolling device such as a cylinder is provided and moved in the roll axis direction.
(2) Japanese Patent Publication No. 5-20496 Gazette The pressure force of the doctor blade against the roll in the bath is detected by a torque sensor, and based on this detection value, the doctor blade's forward / backward drive means is controlled to make the pressure force appropriate. adjust.
[0009]
The roll in the bath is generally not rotated by an electric motor and is rotated by a steel strip that runs in contact with the roll. Therefore, if the pressing force is too large, the roll stops and becomes non-rotating, and the operation can be performed smoothly. It will disappear.
[0010]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the technique disclosed in (1) above, an air cylinder is generally applied as the reduction device. However, in order to remove the deposit while preventing the roll from rotating in the bath and preventing the blade from being damaged by the blade, it is necessary to finely adjust the rolling force of the air cylinder. However, since the air cylinder has a sliding resistance between the cylinder and the piston, the actual pressing force varies greatly only by adjusting the air pressure. For this reason, there is a problem that the deposit removal effect is greatly varied, and the plating quality is not stable.
[0011]
Further, in the technique disclosed in the above (2), feedback control based on the detection value of the torque sensor is required, and not only the mechanical device but also the control device is required, and the equipment cost is increased. Furthermore, since the torque sensor is installed in the middle of the pressing mechanism, the rigidity of the equipment is weakened, and there is a problem that stable deposits cannot be removed.
Furthermore, it has been a problem that the above control means must be installed directly above the hot dip galvanizing bath. That is, in the immediate vicinity of the control means, the gas wiping nozzle is installed in order to adjust the amount of hot dip galvanizing, but the molten metal adhered to the steel strip with the gas used for the wiping. A part of the plating is scattered and placed in a very poor environment. Therefore, it is also a problem that adjustment of the control means and maintenance inspection are difficult.
[0012]
The present invention provides a technique for solving the above problems in a doctor blade type foreign matter removing apparatus. That is, the present invention has a simple structure, low equipment costs, few failures, excellent maintainability, and further, deposits on rolls in a molten metal plating bath that can stabilize the plating quality. A removal device is provided.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention includes a doctor blade that is pressed against the surface of a roll in a bath immersed in a molten metal plating bath in which a metal strip travels and scrapes off deposits on the roll surface, a rod that supports the doctor blade, and a plating In the apparatus for removing deposits on a roll in a molten metal plating bath provided with a screw shaft provided across the plating bath above the bath and allowing a doctor blade to move along the axis of the roll in the bath, the screw shaft A guide that is movably engaged with the rod, and a rod that is movably engaged with the rod, and a floating box that is immersed in the molten metal plating bath and attached to the rod to generate buoyancy. And removing the deposits on the roll in the molten metal plating bath, wherein the doctor blade stably contacts the roll in the bath by adjusting the buoyancy of the floating box. It solves the above problems by location.
[0014]
In the present invention, the floating box is a floating box in which the buoyancy is adjusted so that the doctor blade and the roll in the bath come into contact with almost no load, and then the weight having a desired weight is applied to the rod. It has been found that it is preferable that the contact load of the doctor blade on the roll in the bath can be freely adjusted by providing the above.
Furthermore, in the present invention, the present invention is preferably characterized in that the guide is a ball spline.
[0015]
