[Prior art]
In general, in a processing process of a papermaking machine, a paper web dewatered by a press part is dried by a dryer and then calendered by a calendering device. In this calendar process, the metal surface is pressed against the paper web to transfer the smoothness of the metal surface to the paper surface, so that the paper thickness variation in the paper width direction generated in the previous process is made uniform, and smoothness, gloss, etc. Surface characteristics that determine printability are imparted to the paper.
[0003]
Of the paper webs processed by the papermaking machine, especially newspaper paper, coated paper, white coated paperboard, liner paper, etc., finish the paper with high smoothness, glossiness, bulkiness and rigidity while maintaining the printing surface strength. Is required. As a calendar processing apparatus that satisfies such a requirement, there is a shoe calendar processing apparatus as disclosed in
[0004]
Hereinafter, an example of the configuration of such a shoe calendar processing apparatus will be described with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6. 5 and 6 are diagrams showing the configuration of the shoe calendar processing apparatus. FIG. 5 is a schematic cross-sectional view in a side view thereof, and FIG. 6 is a schematic view in a side view in which the nip portion is enlarged from FIG. It is sectional drawing.
As shown in FIG. 5, this shoe calendar processing apparatus is provided with a

Thereby, the
[0006]
In the calendering process, the paper web is pressed at a constant pressure. At this time, the paper web is crushed in the paper thickness direction to cut the fiber-to-fiber bond. For this reason, when the calendar process is performed, the surface strength of the paper web tends to decrease, and the higher the applied pressure (surface pressure), the higher the tendency. In addition, the higher the applied pressure, the higher the paper density and the lower the bulk. Therefore, in order to suppress a decrease in surface strength and a decrease in bulk, it is desirable to perform the treatment with a low applied pressure. The pressurizing force required to finish the paper to a predetermined surface property depends on the processing temperature, and the higher the pressurizing force is required, the more calendering is performed at a low temperature. Therefore, it is preferable to sufficiently heat the paper web in order to reduce the required pressure during the calendar process and suppress the decrease in surface strength and the decrease in bulk.
[0007]
Thus, in order to sufficiently heat the paper web, it is optimal to set the length (shoe length) SB of the

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the long nip type shoe calender processing apparatus as described above, the pressurization length (nip amount) is long. The contact pressure is a low value. When the pressing surface pressure is low, there is an advantage that the reduction in surface strength and the reduction in bulk can be suppressed as described above, but there is a disadvantage that the glossiness and smoothness are somewhat inferior.
[0010]
For this reason, it is conceivable to increase the pressure contact pressure in this long nip type shoe calender processing apparatus. However, in this case, since the nip amount is large, the total amount of the applied pressure is excessively increased. It is difficult to configure the apparatus with sufficient strength under the condition where a large pressure is applied.
Further, during operation, the sliding contact portion between the

[0012]
The present invention was devised in view of such problems, and does not require complicated adjustment work, and regardless of the specifications of the paper web, it has high quality that satisfies the requirements of glossiness, surface strength, bulkiness, smoothness, etc. An object of the present invention is to provide a calendar processing apparatus capable of producing paper.

【The invention's effect】
As detailed above, according to the present invention,, Pressurizing meansChange the surface pressure for each pressure shoePaper web at the nip between the heat roll and shoe press rollPressurized pressure distribution in the running directionEasily according to paper specificationsCan be adjusted,,The size of the paper web in the running direction per pressure shoe, that is, the nip width is narrow.BecauseIn addition, the surface pressure of the pressure shoe can be increased as compared with the conventional art.
That is, no complicated adjustment work is required, and it becomes possible to manufacture high-quality paper satisfying requirements such as glossiness, surface strength, bulkiness, and smoothness regardless of the specifications of the paper web.
[0042]
AlsoThe surface pressure of the pressure shoe in the first half (upstream in the paper web running direction) is set relatively high and the surface pressure of the pressure shoe in the second half (downstream in the paper web running direction) is set relatively low, The paper web is quickly heated to soften and improve smoothness and gloss before the first half of the pressure shoe causes a decrease in surface strength or bulk. By pressurizing at a low pressure, a bulky paper web with good surface properties can be obtained.
