Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an exhaust gas recirculation device in an internal combustion engine such as a diesel engine equipped with a supercharger.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Since the internal combustion engine such as a diesel engine of the high-temperature combustion, the exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine are contained in NO X, as a means of reducing the NO X, the exhaust gas recirculation conventionally ( That is, a method called EGR), that is, a method in which a part of the exhaust gas is taken out from the exhaust system and returned to the intake system of the internal combustion engine is adopted. By adopting EGR as the combustion method, the proportion of inert gas (N 2 , CO 2 , H 2 O, etc.) in the combustion mixture increases and the combustion temperature decreases, so that the generation of NO x can be suppressed. .
[0003]
As a conventional technique related to EGR, there is an exhaust gas recirculation device as shown in FIG. An

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
FIG. 6 is a characteristic diagram showing the relationship between engine speed and torque. When the operating state of the engine is in a region A shown in FIG. 6, the relationship of the exhaust pulsation pressure P ex and boost pressure P in the exhaust gas becomes the relationship shown in FIG. 7. As apparent from FIG. 7, in the A region is a high load region of the engine, exhaust pulsation pressure P ex boost pressure P in less than the portion of the exhaust gas (see the hatched portion in FIG. 7), i.e., it size of the intake A reverse basin appears. Therefore, the
That is, EGR rate = exhaust gas recirculation amount / (intake air amount + exhaust gas recirculation amount).
[0006]
In contrast, because in the region B shown in FIG. 6 the engine is in a low-load region where supercharging ratio decreases, it decreases the mean intake pressure, the relationship between the exhaust pulsation pressure P ex and boost pressure P in the exhaust gas The relationship is as shown in FIG. 8, and the backflow region of intake air hardly occurs. Therefore, when the exhaust gas is recirculated, the
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The object of the present invention is to provide a reed valve in the exhaust gas recirculation pipe in order to enable EGR even when the engine is at a medium to high load by utilizing the exhaust gas pulsation, and there is no reed valve at a low load of the engine that can be switched to the invalid state, it is to provide an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus for an internal combustion engine having a supercharger to suppress the generation of the NO X by performing the EGR in the entire region of engine operation.
[0008]
The present invention is provided with an exhaust gas recirculation passage that communicates an exhaust passage and an intake passage, an EGR control valve that opens and closes the exhaust gas recirculation passage, a downstream side of the EGR control valve, and the pressure on the exhaust side A check valve that opens in a state that exceeds the pressure on the side, switching means that can switch the exhaust gas recirculation passage between a first state in which the check valve functions and a second state in which the check valve does not function; In response to a low load in which the EGR control valve is opened in response to the engine speed and load being within a predetermined range set in advance and the boost pressure does not exceed the exhaust pulsation pressure and the reverse flow region of the intake does not appear. The present invention relates to an exhaust gas recirculation device for an internal combustion engine having a supercharger configured to control the switching means to switch to the second state.
[0009]
Further, in this exhaust gas recirculation device for an internal combustion engine, the check valve is a reed valve comprising a valve seat having an opening and a reed valve body for opening and closing the opening, and the switching means has an end at the exhaust gas. The valve seat pivotally mounted in the recirculation passage and the drive device for driving the valve seat to open and close the exhaust gas recirculation passage.
[0010]
Further, in this exhaust gas recirculation device for an internal combustion engine, the check valve is a reed valve having a valve seat having an opening and a reed valve body for opening and closing the opening, and the switching means is a central portion of the valve seat. Is provided with a butterfly valve pivotally mounted in the exhaust gas recirculation passage and a drive device for driving the butterfly valve so as to open and close the exhaust gas recirculation passage.
[0011]
In the exhaust gas recirculation device for an internal combustion engine, the controller performs control to switch to the second state by the switching means in response to the closed state of the EGR control valve.
[0012]
Further, in this exhaust gas recirculation device for an internal combustion engine, the switching means includes a bypass passage provided to bypass the check valve portion of the exhaust gas exhaust gas recirculation passage, the check valve portion, and the check valve portion. And a two-way valve provided at an upstream branch point with the bypass passage. Further, the controller performs control to switch to the second state by the switching means in response to the closed state of the EGR control valve, and the two-way so as to communicate the check valve portion and the bypass passage. It controls the valve.
[0013]
Since the exhaust gas recirculation device of the internal combustion engine is configured as described above, the EGR control valve is opened by a control signal from the controller when the engine speed and the load are within a certain range. In the middle and high load state (see FIGS. 6 and 7) in which the engine is operating in the A region, the check valve is opened when the exhaust pulsation pressure exceeds the boost pressure, and the exhaust gas is recirculated into the intake passage. Circulated. However, when the exhaust pulsation pressure is lower than the boost pressure, the check valve remains closed, and the intake air can be prevented from flowing back into the exhaust gas recirculation passage. Further, when the engine is operating in a low load state in the B region (see FIGS. 6 and 8), the boost pressure hardly exceeds the exhaust pulsation pressure, so that the intake passage is changed to the exhaust gas recirculation passage. There is no worry that the intake air will flow backward. Therefore, in this case, a control signal is issued from the controller to the switching means, and the exhaust gas recirculation passage is switched to the second state having no check valve. As a result, the exhaust gas recirculation device can perform EGR in which the exhaust gas is recirculated to the intake passage with little flow path resistance at a low load.
[0014]
Further, when the EGR control valve is closed by a command from the controller, the check valve is fully opened to suck exhaust gas remaining in the exhaust gas recirculation passage into the intake passage, and Intake air can be sent into the exhaust gas recirculation passage to exhaust and dilute the residual exhaust gas, and the residual exhaust gas in the exhaust gas recirculation passage can be reduced or eliminated. It is possible to prevent substances such as gases, liquids, and particulates contained in the exhaust gas recirculation passage from condensing and adhering to the wall surface of the exhaust gas recirculation passage and the wall surfaces of the check valve and the EGR control valve. Corrosion resistance and durability of the passage, the check valve and the EGR control valve can be improved.

【The invention's effect】
Since the exhaust gas recirculation device for an internal combustion engine equipped with a supercharger according to the present invention is configured as described above, it has the following specific effects. That is, the exhaust gas recirculation device for an internal combustion engine equipped with this supercharger has a check valve in the exhaust gas recirculation passage when the engine operating state is the A region (see FIGS. 6 and 7). When the engine is operating in the B region (see FIGS. 6 and 8), the exhaust gas recirculation passage is switched to a state having no check valve. The exhaust gas can be recirculated to the intake passage while preventing the exhaust gas from flowing back to the exhaust gas recirculation passage, and the exhaust gas can be recirculated to the intake passage with little flow resistance at low loads. As a result, pressure loss can be reduced and the EGR rate can be increased. Thus, the exhaust gas recirculation apparatus for an internal combustion engine having the supercharger, it is possible to more effectively reduce NO X.
