本発明は、高重合度ポリエチレングリコールを含有して成る、睫を濃く長く見せる効果に優れるマスカラ組成物に関する。

【従来の技術】
マスカラは、睫を長く美しく見せるために用いられているメイクアップ化粧料の一種である。マスカラは目的に応じて、睫をカールする力の強いカールタイプ,睫を長く見せる効果の高いロングラッシュタイプ,睫のボリュームを向上させるボリュームタイプなどに分類される。睫の長さ,太さ,粗密の度合い,上を向いて生えているか下を向いて生えているか等の条件が人によりかなり異なるため、目的に応じてこれらのタイプのマスカラが別々に市販されている。これらのタイプの中でも、ボリュームタイプ及びロングラッシュタイプのマスカラは、睫の生え方が粗で短い人が多い日本人に一般的に好まれて使用されている。

また、睫を長く見せるためには、ナイロン等の短い繊維がしばしば用いられる。しかしながらナイロンなどの短い繊維をマスカラ組成物に配合した場合、繊維が睫からとれて目の中に入りやすく、特にコンタクトレンズ使用時には、目やレンズに傷が付くなどの問題点があった。

さらに、睫のボリュームを向上させ、かつ長く見せるタイプのマスカラ組成物は得られていない。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
そこで本発明においては、睫にボリュームを付与し、かつ長く見せる効果に優れたマスカラ組成物を得ることを目的とした。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明者等は上記課題を解決するため鋭意研究の結果、高重合度ポリエチレングリコールをマスカラ組成物に含有させることにより、睫にボリュームを付与し、かつ長く見せる効果に優れるマスカラ組成物を得ることができることを見いだし、本発明を完成した。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明で用いられる高重合度ポリエチレングリコールは、増粘効果を有する水溶性高分子であり、増粘剤,顔料分散剤として用いられている。かかる高重合度ポリエチレングリコールの化粧料への応用としては、ヒアルロン酸塩と併用した安定性,保湿性に優れた化粧料(特開昭63−156838号公報),糖アルキルと併用したシャンプー組成物(特開平5−43434号公報),高重合度ポリエチレングリコールを泡特性改善剤として含有する整髪料組成物(特開平6−9344号公報),架橋型アクリル酸ポリマーと併用した水性ゲル組成物(ヨーロッパ特許94−400760),ベタインと併用した毛髪化粧料(特開平7−69840号公報),アミン若しくはアミド型界面活性剤と併用した洗浄料(特開平8−157349号公報),界面活性剤,カチオンポリマーと併用したコンディショニングシャンプー組成物(特開平9−175952号公報)等が開示されている。しかしながら、高重合度ポリエチレングリコールが睫にボリュームを付与し、かつ長く見せる効果を有することは知られていなかった。

本発明で用いられる高重合度ポリエチレングリコールは、分子量950以上のポリエチレングリコールであり、ボリューム感の点から分子量10000以上のポリエチレングリコールが好ましく用いられる。かかる高重合度ポリエチレングリコールとしては、市販のPolyox WSR N−10,N−30(分子量1万〜500万:以上Union Carbide社製),PEG−1000〜PEG−20000(分子量950〜25000:以上三洋化成工業社製)等を使用することができる。高重合度ポリエチレングリコールはマスカラ組成物に、0.01〜5重量%配合することができる。

本発明においては、睫にボリューム感を付与する効果を顕著にするために、色材を配合することができる。かかる色材としては化粧料に一般に用いられる色材であれば良く、例えば、タルク,カオリン,雲母,セリサイト,合成雲母,バーミキュライト,炭酸マグネシウム,炭酸カルシウム,ケイ酸アルミニウム,ケイ酸バリウム,ケイ酸カルシウム,ケイ酸マグネシウム,ケイ酸ストロンチウム,無水ケイ酸,ゼオライト,硫酸バリウム,焼石膏,リン酸カルシウム,フッ素アパタイト,ヒドロキシアパタイト,セラミックパウダー,窒化ホウ素等の無機粉体、ミリスチン酸亜鉛,パルミチン酸カルシウム,ステアリン酸マグネシウム,ステアリン酸アルミニウム等の金属セッケン、ナイロン末,ポリエチレン末,ポリメタクリル酸メチル末,ポリスチレン末,スチレンアクリル酸共重合体末,セルロース末等の有機粉体、二酸化チタン,酸化亜鉛等の無機白色顔料、ベンガラ,チタン酸鉄,γ−酸化鉄,黄酸化鉄,黄土,黒酸化鉄,カーボンブラック,低次酸化チタン,マンゴバイオレット,コバルトバイオレット,酸化クロム,水酸化クロム,チタン酸コバルト,グンジョウ,コンジョウ等の無機着色顔料、酸化チタン被覆マイカ,酸化鉄被覆マイカ,酸化チタン・酸化鉄被覆マイカ,酸化チタン被覆オキシ塩化ビスマス,着色酸化チタン被覆マイカ,オキシ塩化ビスマス,魚鱗箔等のパール顔料、アルミニウム末,銅末等の金属粉末顔料、赤色201号,赤色202号,赤色204号,赤色205号,赤色220号,赤色226号,赤色228号,赤色405号,橙色203号,橙色204号,黄色205号,黄色401号,青色404号等の有機色素、赤色3号,赤色104号,赤色106号,赤色227号,赤色230号,赤色401号,赤色505号,橙色205号,黄色4号,黄色5号,黄色202号,黄色203号,緑色3号,青色1号等の有機色素及びこれらのジルコニウム,バリウム,又はアルミニウムレーキ顔料、クロロフィル,β−カロチン,シコニン,カーサミン等の天然色素、染料などが挙げられる。

The high-polymerization polyethylene glycol used in the present invention is a water-soluble polymer having a thickening effect, and is used as a thickener and a pigment dispersant.
