Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle bumper mounting structure.
[0002]
[Prior art]
FIG. 12 shows the mounting structure of the front bumper of an automobile. A bumper stay b is fitted and fixed to the front end opening of the side member a, and bent portions d of both ends of the reinforcement c are fixed to the bumper stay b. Since this bumper stay b is formed by extrusion molding, two closed sections g and h are formed between the side member insertion portion e and the reinforcement fixing portion f as viewed in the vertical direction.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, if the protrusion of the reinforcement general part i from the side member a is reduced and the inclination of the reinforcement bent part d is tightened, the outer wall j of the bumper stay b becomes considerably shorter than the inner wall k. On the other hand, in the case of a wall-to-wall collision, the reinforcement c is deformed so as to eliminate the inclination of the bent portion d . For this reason, a load that pushes the reinforcement fixing portion f outward acts on the bumper stay b. However, if the outer wall j is short, the outer wall j is stretched against this load, and the reinforcement is applied. The attachment fixing part f cannot fall down and deform. For this reason, the front end part of the side member a is bent outward, and labor is required for repair.
[0004]
Further, since the side member insertion portion generates a bending moment M in the clockwise direction in FIG. 12 around the insertion base end l on the inner side surface, it also causes deformation of the side member a.
[0005]
In view of such circumstances, an object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle bumper mounting structure that can prevent deformation of a side member in a folding direction at the time of a wall-to-wall collision.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention fixes a bumper stay in a front end opening of a side member and fixes both bent portions of the reinforcement to the bumper stay, and the bumper stay fixes the side member insertion portion and the reinforcement. In the vehicle bumper mounting structure in which the section between the two is formed in a closed cross section when viewed in the vertical direction, the bumper stay has an outer wall extending from the bottom wall of the side member insertion portion, and from the reinforcement fixing portion. The engaging part is extended so that the end surface of a reinforcement may be wound .
[0007]
The bumper stay may have substantially the same length on the outer wall and the inner wall.
[0008]
The bumper stay may be inclined so that the bottom wall of the side member insertion portion is substantially parallel to the reinforcement fixing portion, and the inner wall of the bumper stay may extend from the bottom wall of the side member insertion portion.
[0010]
The bumpy stay may be formed by extrusion.
[0011]
The side member insertion portion may have an outer surface formed in an arc shape with an insertion base end on the inner surface side as a fulcrum.
[0012]
Another invention for solving the above-mentioned problems is to fix a bumper stay in the front end opening of the side member, and to fix the bent portions of both ends of the reinforcement to the bumper stay. In a vehicle bumper mounting structure in which a closed section is formed between the fixed portions when viewed in the vertical direction, the side member insertion portion has an outer surface formed in an arc shape with the insertion base end on the inner side as a fulcrum. The bumper stay is characterized in that the engaging part extends from the reinforcement fixing part so as to wind the end face of the reinforcement .

[0030]
In this way, it is needless to say that the combined effects of the first embodiment and the second reference example can be obtained.
[0031]
The present invention can be applied not only to the front bumper but also to the rear bumper.
[0032]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the outer wall of the bumper stay does not produce a tensioning action against the extension deformation of the reinforcement in the case of a collision with the wall, and the reinforcement fixing portion is pushed outward. No bending deformation occurs at the tip of the member, and it is only necessary to replace the bumper stay at the time of repair, greatly saving labor. Further, when the locking portion is crushed, the collision energy can be absorbed and a longitudinal load can be transmitted to the side member.
[0033]
According to the configuration of the second aspect, since the impact load is uniformly transmitted to the inner wall and the outer wall of the bumper stay, it is possible to prevent the impact load from acting in the direction in which the side member is bent.
[0034]
According to the configuration of the third aspect, the distance from the front end of the side member to the reinforcement bent portion can be shortened, and the degree of freedom in layout increases.
[0036]
According to the configuration of the fourth aspect, even if the shape of the bumper stay is complicated, molding becomes easy.
[0037]
According to the configuration of the fifth aspect , it is possible to release the twisting moment that the reinforcement bending portion gives to the side member insertion portion at the time of the collision between the walls, and to prevent the load in the folding direction from being transmitted to the side member. it can.
[0038]
According to the sixth aspect of the present invention, it is possible to release the twisting moment that the reinforcement bending portion gives to the side member insertion portion at the time of a wall-to-wall collision, and the side member does not undergo mouth opening deformation.
