BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention belongs to the technical field of toroidal type continuously variable transmissions applied to vehicles and the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, research and development of a continuously variable transmission for an automobile has been promoted in view of its smoothness, ease of driving, and improvement in fuel consumption.
Among them, a traction drive type toroidal continuously variable transmission (hereinafter referred to as toroidal type CVT) that transmits power by shearing an oil film is known.
[0003]
The toroidal type CVT can be classified into a full toroidal type and a half toroidal type according to its shape. Of the two types, the full toroidal CVT does not apply a thrust force to the power roller. On the other hand, in the half toroidal CVT, a thrust force is applied to the power roller, and a bearing is required to receive this force. This bearing performance has a significant effect on efficiency. However, in the half-toroidal CVT, the tangent drawn to the two contact points of the disk and the power roller has an intersection, and the locus of the intersection is in the vicinity of the rotating shaft in the entire speed change range. Half toroidal CVT has been selected in consideration of these advantages and disadvantages, and has been put into practical use.
[0004]
The shifting operation of the half toroidal CVT generates a side slip force by giving a slight displacement in the swing axis direction to a power roller support member (hereinafter referred to as a trunnion), and the trunnion tilting operation accompanying the side slip force. As a result, the contact position between the power roller and the input / output disk changes, so that the gear ratio determined by the contact radius between the power roller and the input / output disk is controlled.
[0005]
As described above, as a contact portion lubrication structure between the input / output disk and the power roller of the toroidal type CVT, for example, the structure described in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 2-47458 is known.
[0006]
In this prior art publication, as shown in the cross-sectional plan view of FIG. 7, a power roller clamped so as to be able to transmit power between an input disk and an output disk that are coaxially arranged opposite to each other and a power roller rotatably supported A trunnion that can be tilted around a swing axis that is orthogonal to the power roller rotation axis, and a servo piston (not shown) that displaces the trunnion in the swing axis direction at the time of shifting, and the direction of the swing axis of the trunnion Describes a toroidal continuously variable transmission that controls the gear ratio determined by the contact radius between the power roller and the input / output disk by changing the contact position between the power roller and the input / output disk by tilting the trunnion with the displacement of Has been.
[0007]
In this toroidal-type continuously variable transmission, the lubrication structure of the contact portion between the input / output disk and the power roller lubricates the opening of the lubricating oil passage formed inside the power roller rotating shaft to the front shaft end of the power roller rotating shaft. The structure is an oil passage (see FIG. 7).
[0008]
Therefore, the oil ejected from the opening is supplied to the inner diameter side of the contact portion between the disk and the power roller, and acts on the oil supplied with the centrifugal force due to the rotation of the disk and the input shaft. The contact portion is lubricated by flowing to the outer peripheral side along the power roller contact surface. In addition, even if the gear ratio changes and the contact position of the power roller changes, the position of the opening changes following the change, so that the supply of oil to the contact part can be maintained. Yes.
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the contact portion lubrication structure of the input / output disk and the power roller of the conventional toroidal-type continuously variable transmission, since it is configured by a through lubricating oil passage having the front shaft end of the power roller rotating shaft as an opening, When the vehicle runs at a low speed, such as when the vehicle is running at low speed, the pump discharge amount, which is the hydraulic power source, is small. Since the oil is weakened, the oil does not touch the input / output disk, but drops as it is, and there is a problem that the oil cannot be reliably supplied to the contact portion.
[0010]
Therefore, in order to obtain a sufficient amount of lubricating oil even at a low rotation speed, a large discharge amount is required at a low rotation speed. In this case, an increase in the size of the pump and a deterioration in fuel consumption cannot be avoided.
[0011]
Furthermore, in order to improve the reliability of oil supply to the contact portion, there is a plan to provide an oil passage opening in the power roller, but the rigidity of the power roller is reduced by forming a lubricating oil passage inside the power roller, There is a problem that the torque that can be input is limited by the reduction in rigidity.
[0012]
The problem to be solved by the present invention is to reliably supply oil to the contact portion regardless of the change in the contact position of the power roller without causing an increase in pump size, deterioration in fuel consumption, or limitation of the maximum input torque. Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a toroidal continuously variable transmission that can effectively perform lubricating cooling of a contact portion.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the invention of claim 1, a power roller that is clamped so that power can be transmitted between the input disk and the output disk that are coaxially disposed opposite to each other;
A power roller support member that can tilt around a swing axis that is orthogonal to the power roller rotation axis while rotatably supporting the power roller;
In a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission including a servo piston that displaces the power roller support member in the swing axis direction at the time of shifting,
A vertical tubular member is disposed as a lubricating oil supply member at a front position of the power roller,
The tubular member is fixed to a portion protruding forward from the power roller of the power roller rotating shaft, and the oil passage in the tube is connected to a lubricating oil supply oil passage in the power roller rotating shaft,
The oil passage opening at the tip of the tubular member is disposed within the rolling surface area above the contact portion between the power roller and the input / output disk and behind the front end surface of the power roller, and the oil passage opening It is characterized in that the orientation is set downward from the horizontal.
[0014]
In the invention according to
A power roller support member that can tilt around a swing axis that is orthogonal to the power roller rotation axis while rotatably supporting the power roller;
In a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission including a servo piston that displaces the power roller support member in the swing axis direction at the time of shifting,
A rolling surface lubrication member in the vertical direction is disposed at the front position of the power roller,
The rolling surface lubrication member is fixed to the lower portion of the power roller support member and is opposed to the front end surface of the power roller rotating shaft and is connected to a lubricating oil supply oil passage introduced from the lower portion of the power roller support member. A lubricating oil passage formed inside,
The oil passage opening at the tip of the rolling surface lubrication member is disposed above the contact portion between the power roller and the input / output disk and within the rolling surface range behind the front end surface of the power roller, and the oil It is characterized in that the direction of the road opening is set downward from the horizontal.
[0015]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the toroidal type continuously variable transmission according to the second aspect, the rolling surface lubrication member is disposed so as to face the front shaft end of the power roller rotation shaft, and the power roller rotation shaft At the front shaft end, provide an opening for the lubricating oil passage inside the power roller,
The opening of the power roller internal lubricating oil passage is communicated with the opening of the internal lubricating oil passage of the rolling surface lubricating member.
[0016]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the toroidal-type continuously variable transmission according to the third aspect, the front shaft end opening of the power roller internal lubricating oil passage is formed in a long hole opening,
A tubular member is fixed to the opening of the internal lubricating oil passage of the rolling surface lubricating member,
By projecting the tubular member into the elongated hole opening, the power roller internal lubricating oil passage and the internal lubricating oil passage of the rolling surface lubricating member are communicated with each other.
[0017]
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the toroidal continuously variable transmission according to the second to fourth aspects,
The rolling surface lubrication member is fixed to an upper part and a lower part of a power roller support member so as to surround the front part of the power roller in the vertical direction.
[0018]
Operation and effect of the invention
In the first aspect of the invention, when the servo piston is displaced in the swing axis direction (inclination axis direction) by the servo piston during shifting, the side slip force is applied to the power roller along with the displacement. When the power roller tilts with the power roller support member, the contact position between the power roller and the input / output disk is changed, and the gear ratio determined by the contact radius between the power roller and the input / output disk is controlled. Is done.
At the time of the above speed change or a constant speed ratio, the contact portion between the power roller and the input / output disk is lubricated by the lubricating oil discharged from the vertical tubular member disposed in front of the power roller.
That is, the oil passage opening at the tip of the tubular member is disposed in the rolling surface range above the contact portion between the power roller and the input / output disk and behind the front end surface of the power roller, and the oil passage opening. The oil is discharged from the oil passage opening at the tip of the tubular member, and is reliably blown to the rolling surface of the power roller. As a result, it is supplied to the contact portion between the power roller and the input / output disk. Furthermore, even at low rotations when the pump discharge rate is low, oil from the oil passage opening at the tip of the tubular member surely drips onto the rolling surface of the power roller and enters the power roller as the power roller rotates. Effectively supplied to the contact portion with the output disk without waste.
In addition, since the tubular member arranged at the front position of the power roller is arranged in the vertical direction that coincides with the swing axis direction, the front end of the power roller even if the power roller tilts around the swing axis line due to shifting The tubular member disposed in the space formed between the flat surface and the power roller contact surface of the input / output disk does not interfere with the input / output disk, and the positional relationship between the power roller and the tubular member regardless of the gear ratio. Are kept in a certain relationship.
Furthermore, since the lubrication structure is a means using a newly added tubular member, the rigidity of the power roller is not lowered as in the case where an oil passage is formed inside the power roller.
Therefore, it is possible to effectively supply oil to the contact part regardless of changes in the contact position of the power roller without causing an increase in pump size, deterioration in fuel consumption, or limitation of the maximum input torque. Lubrication cooling can be performed.
In addition, by simply projecting the power roller rotating shaft forward from the power roller and fixing the tubular member to this protruding part, lubricating oil can be supplied to the contact part with a simple configuration with little design change and increase in the number of parts. A rolling surface lubrication structure can be obtained.
[0019]
In the invention according to
Therefore, in addition to obtaining the same effect as that of the first aspect, the high pressure lubricating oil that has not passed through the inside of the power roller from the lubricating oil supply oil passage of the power roller supporting member is removed from the rolling surface. It can be introduced into the lubricating oil passage of the lubricating member, and a higher lubricating cooling effect at the contact portion can be expected.
Also, in the case of a slide-type power roller in which the power roller is moved in the left-right direction by a thrust bearing, the rolling surface lubrication member faces the power roller rotating shaft. The roller can be restrained, the power roller is prevented from dropping from the power roller support member during assembly, and assemblability is improved.
[0020]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, the rolling surface lubricating member is disposed so as to face the front shaft end of the power roller rotating shaft, and the power roller internal lubricating oil passage is disposed at the front shaft end of the power roller rotating shaft. The opening of the power roller internal lubricating oil passage communicates with the opening of the internal lubricating oil passage of the rolling surface lubricating member.
That is, the oil introduced from the lower part of the power roller support member can be guided not only to the rolling surface of the power roller but also to the lubrication inside the power roller, which is conventionally provided inside the power roller support member. It becomes possible to eliminate the oil path for lubricating the power roller.
Therefore, since the oil passage provided inside the power roller support member passes through the weakest part due to the rigidity of the power roller support member, the rigidity of the power roller support member is improved by eliminating this oil passage. Can be made. Furthermore, the absence of the oil passage opening on the back surface of the power roller improves the rigidity of the outer ring portion of the power roller, so that it is possible to reduce bearing loss due to deformation of the outer ring portion under high load.
[0021]
In the invention of
Therefore, it is possible to reliably transfer the lubricating oil from the rolling surface lubricating member to the power roller internal lubricating oil passage while allowing the power roller to slide in the left-right direction through the elongated hole opening.
[0022]
In the fifth aspect of the invention, the rolling surface lubricating member is fixed to the upper and lower portions of the power roller support member so as to surround the front portion of the power roller in the vertical direction.
That is, the upper and lower portions of the power roller support member that surrounds the rear part of the power roller in the vertical direction and the rolling surface lubrication member that surrounds the front part of the power roller in the vertical direction are connected to each other. Is completely surrounded by an annular member.
Therefore, by improving the rigidity of the power roller support member, the loss of the power roller bearing part and the contact part due to the deformation of the power roller support member when a thrust load is input to the power roller is reduced, and thus heat generation is reduced. can do.
