Description
【0001】
NO+N→N2 +O ………
NO+O→NO2 ………
NO2 +OH→HNO3 ………
0.1(N+NO)→0.1N2 +0.05O2
0.1(O+NO)→0.1NO2
0.1(OH+NO2 )→0.1HNO3
0.7(N+NO)→0.7N2 +0.35O2
1.5(O+NO)→1.5NO2
1.6(OH+NO2 )→1.6HNO3

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to exhaust gas discharged from industrial furnaces and boilers using heavy oil / coal as fuel, marine internal combustion engines, etc., that is, nitrogen oxides (hereinafter referred to as NOx) and sulfur oxides (hereinafter referred to as NOx). The present invention relates to an apparatus for purifying exhaust gas containing harmful gas components such as sulfur dioxide (hereinafter referred to as SOx).
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as the exhaust gas treatment apparatus, the following has been put into practical use.
[0003]
A flue gas denitration device that removes NOx in exhaust gas is a method of reducing NOx to nitrogen and water with ammonia (or urea) and discharging it, and ammonia (NH 3 ) is discharged into the exhaust gas containing NOx. After adding and uniformly mixing, it is led to a reactor and brought into contact with a denitration catalyst at a temperature of 300 to 400 ° C. to selectively react NOx in the exhaust gas with ammonia to harmless nitrogen and water vapor. An apparatus for denitration by a selective catalytic reduction method that decomposes is known.
[0004]
The flue gas desulfurization equipment that removes SOx in the exhaust gas includes a desulfurization apparatus using a wet lime gypsum method using limestone as an absorbent, a desulfurization apparatus using a wet caustic soda absorption method using caustic soda as an absorbent, and a hydroxide as an absorbent. An apparatus for desulfurization by a wet magnesium hydroxide absorption method using magnesium, an apparatus for desulfurization by a dry activated carbon adsorption method, and the like are known.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the above-described conventional flue gas denitration apparatus has a disadvantage that it requires a running cost because it requires a denitration catalyst having a life of about 4 years for an expensive one. In addition, since a reducing agent such as ammonia is required, when the exhaust gas generation source is a moving engine such as a marine internal combustion engine or a moving engine (hereinafter collectively referred to as a moving generation source), the reducing agent is mounted. In addition, replenishment is indispensable, and it has a disadvantage that it is a burden and unsuitable for a movement source.
[0006]
On the other hand, when each of the above-mentioned conventional flue gas desulfurization apparatuses is of a wet absorption type, the exhaust gas is brought into contact with the absorbent slurry in which the absorbent is dissolved, and SOx in the exhaust gas is absorbed and removed. ) In large quantities. Further, even when using a dry activated carbon adsorption method, it is necessary to secure a sufficient contact area between the activated carbon and the exhaust gas in order to remove SOx satisfactorily, so that there is a drawback that the size of the entire device is increased.
[0007]
Such a device that requires a large amount of water or a large-sized device is very disadvantageous for the movement source from the loading surface and the mounting surface.
[0008]
A first object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas treatment apparatus that can ensure a denitration rate and a desulfurization rate from exhaust gas while reducing the running cost and does not require a large amount of water for treatment, and can be made compact. Is to provide
[0009]
The second object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas treatment apparatus capable of simultaneously removing dust and hydrocarbons.
[0010]
A third object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas treatment apparatus that is very useful for a movement source such as a marine internal combustion engine.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The exhaust gas treatment apparatus according to the first aspect of the present invention is characterized in that a discharge device is provided between the discharge electrode and the ground electrode as an exhaust gas treatment passage, and between the discharge electrode and the ground electrode of the discharge device. A pulse power source for performing a short pulse corona discharge is provided, and neutralization solution supply means for supplying seawater as an alkaline component solution is provided on the surface of the ground electrode of the discharge device.
[0012]
A feature of the exhaust gas treatment apparatus according to the second aspect of the present invention as set forth in
[0013]
[0014]
Features of
[0015]
[Action]
It is known that when corona discharge is performed in an exhaust gas containing NOx and SOx, an oxidizing radical such as OH is generated, and NOx and SOx are oxidized to generate an acid.
[0016]
That is, regarding NOx, the oxidation reaction of NOx (NO and NO 2 ) by corona discharge is
NO + N → N 2 + O (Equation 1)
NO + O → NO 2 ……… (Formula 2)
NO 2 + OH → HNO 3 ... (Formula 3)
At normal temperature, all of Formula 1, Formula 2, and Formula 3 are fast reaction rates of the same order. OH is generated by bond dissociation of water vapor.
[0017]
Therefore, it can be seen that NOx and SOx in the exhaust gas can be removed by trapping and neutralizing the acid generated by oxidation of NOx and SOx by corona discharge with an alkali.
[0018]
Furthermore, as corona discharge for oxidizing NOx and SOx, DC corona discharge at a constant voltage (20 to 60 KV) and nanosecond pulse high voltage (rise time 50 to 500 nanosecond ,
[0019]
In addition, generation of OH radicals is indispensable for oxidizing NOx and SOx, for example, oxidizing NO to NO 2 and further oxidizing to HNO 3 by corona discharge, and this OH radical is generated by bond dissociation of water vapor. The energy generated and required for this is 499 KJ / mol, which is 5.17 eV when converted into the electron temperature in the electric field.
[0020]
By the way, in direct current corona discharge, in order to suppress an increase in gas temperature, the voltage is constant and the electric field strength E is limited to the range of 1 to 5 KV / cm. The average electron temperature is 1 eV or less. As a result, OH radicals cannot be generated in the entire electric field, and there is only a possibility that OH radicals are generated locally only in the vicinity of the discharge electrode. That is, the generation region of non-equilibrium plasma (low temperature plasma) necessary for oxidizing NOx and SOx is small, and the radical generation efficiency is poor.
[0021]
On the other hand, in the short pulse corona discharge, the discharge is intermittently performed with a very short rise time and a short cycle, so that a high voltage is applied while suppressing an increase in gas temperature, and the range is instantaneously 20 to 50 KV / cm. Since a high electric field can be generated, a large acceleration and velocity can be given to the electrons, and the average electron temperature in the electric field can be set to 2 to 6 eV. As a result, OH radicals can be generated in a wide area within the electric field. That is, the generation region of non-equilibrium plasma necessary for oxidizing NOx and SOx is large, and radicals can be efficiently generated to oxidize NOx and SOx.
[0022]
That is, the number of radicals generated by energy input per 100 eV in the discharge field is 0.1 for N radicals, 0.1 for O radicals, and 0 for OH radicals in DC corona discharge (E = 5 KV / cm). In short pulse corona discharge (E = 50 KV / cm), N radical is 0.7, O radical is 1.5, and OH radical is 1.6.
[0023]
Therefore, for example, when calculating the energy required for the oxidation treatment per NOx molecule in the discharge field based on the above-described
0.1 (N + NO) → 0.1 N 2 +0.05 O 2
0.1 (O + NO) → 0.1 NO 2
0.1 (OH + NO 2 ) → 0.1 HNO 3
Become
0.1 (N + O + OH) + 0.2NO → 0.1N 2 + 0.05O 2 + 0.1HN O 3
Thus, 0.2 NO can be processed with an input of 0.1 (N + O + OH) = 100 eV, and as a result, the energy required for the oxidation treatment per NO molecule is 500 eV.
[0024]
On the other hand, in short pulse corona discharge (E = 50 KV / cm), 0.7 (N + NO) → 0.7 N 2 +0.35 O 2
1.5 (O + NO) → 1.5NO 2
1.6 (OH + NO 2 ) → 1.6 HNO 3
Become
0.7N + 1.5O + 1.6OH + 2.2NO + 0.1HNO 2
Thus, 2.3 NOx (2.2NO + 0.1HNO 2 ) can be processed at an input of 0.7N + 1.5O + 1.6OH = 100 eV. As a result, the energy required for the oxidation treatment per NOx molecule is 43. 5 eV.
[0025]
In short, when comparing DC corona discharge and short pulse corona discharge, it has been found from experimental results that short pulse corona discharge can generate the same radical with a discharge input that is one digit less than DC corona discharge. Yes.
[0026]
Therefore, according to the first invention of the present invention, an exhaust gas treatment passage is provided by providing a discharge device for corona discharge and a pulse power source for applying a nanosecond pulse high voltage so as to cause a short pulse corona discharge in the discharge device. Because it is configured to cause short pulse corona discharge in the inside, non-equilibrium plasma that generates radicals is generated in a wide area of the exhaust gas treatment passage with a small discharge input, and NOx and SOx contained in the exhaust gas are efficiently generated. Can be oxidized well.
[0027]
And by providing a solution supply means and supplying seawater as an alkaline component solution to the surface of the grounding electrode of the discharge device, the acid generated by the oxidation of NOx and SOx is neutralized by contacting with the seawater. Since it is configured to be taken into seawater , NOx and SOx can be removed from the exhaust gas.
[0028]
As described above, NOx and SOx are oxidized by short pulse corona discharge, and denitration and desulfurization are performed by neutralizing the acid generated by this oxidation with seawater , so a denitration catalyst is unnecessary for denitration. No water is required for desulfurization.
[0029]
In denitration and desulfurization performed by oxidizing NOx and SOx by short pulse corona discharge and neutralizing the acid generated by this oxidation with an alkaline component solution, the denitration rate and desulfurization are controlled by voltage control applied by the discharge device. Experiments have confirmed that the rate can be controlled over a wide range of 0 to 90% or more.
[0030]
Therefore, the denitration can be performed efficiently, and as a result, the entire apparatus can be made compact for the denitration and desulfurization performance.
[0031]
Furthermore, as a result of the inventor's experimental research, when the non-equilibrium plasma is generated by the short pulse corona discharge to oxidize NOx and SOx, the exhaust gas temperature is 100 ° C. or lower, preferably 75 ° C. or lower. Then, it discovered that the oxidation process could be performed effectively.
[0032]
Focusing on the above findings, the second invention of the present invention is configured to provide scrubbers to cool and clean the exhaust gas supplied to the discharge device. Therefore, oxidation treatment of NOx and SOx by short pulse corona discharge At the same time as improving the performance, if dust or hydrocarbons are contained in the exhaust gas, they can be removed.
[0033]
In other words, a simple and inexpensive structure with only one scrubber is required while optimizing the oxidation treatment of NOx and SOx by short pulse corona discharge and removing dust and hydrocarbons.
[0034]
In addition, when neutralizing the acid generated by oxidizing NOx and SOx by short pulse corona discharge, weak alkaline water (such as seawater, caustic soda with a concentration of 0.02% or less) is used as an alkaline component solution. ) Was found to be sufficient.
[0035]
That is, in the oxidation reaction of NOx (NO and NO 2 ), 2 moles of NO in the
[0036]
Now, for example, if the NO (gas) concentration of the target gas is 2000 ppm, the number of moles of NO per 1 m 3 of the target gas at room temperature is
2000 × 10 −6 /22.4=90×10 −3 mol
The equivalent of alkali to neutralize this is in the case of caustic soda (40 g / mol),
1/2 × 90 × 10 −3 × 40 = 1.8g
It becomes.
And if the amount of treated water for 1 m 3 of the target gas at room temperature is 10 liters, the weight concentration of alkali required for neutralization is
1.8 / 10 4 = 0.02%
It becomes.
[0037]
Paying attention to the above points, in the first invention of the present invention, seawater is supplied as an alkaline component solution, so that acids generated by oxidation of NOx and SOx by short pulse corona discharge can be reliably neutralized. Of course, when it is used for marine internal combustion engines, it is possible to easily obtain an alkaline component solution at low cost.
[0038]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, since the scrubber that uses seawater as the cooling / cleaning liquid is provided, the cooling / cleaning liquid can be easily obtained at low cost when used for marine internal combustion engines.
[0039]
【The invention's effect】
Therefore, according to the first invention of the present invention, although denitration and desulfurization can be performed efficiently and excellent in denitration performance and desulfurization performance, a denitration catalyst is unnecessary and input energy required for denitration and desulfurization can be reduced. In addition, it can be implemented at low cost, requires less water consumption, and can be configured in a small size. In addition, it does not use a reducing agent or a large amount of water for denitration or desulfurization. By being able to do so, it has become possible to provide an exhaust gas treatment apparatus that can be easily implemented as a moving source such as a marine internal combustion engine.
Further, when it is used for a marine internal combustion engine, it is easy to obtain seawater as an alkaline component solution, so that it is suitable for a marine internal combustion engine.
[0040]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, not only dust and hydrocarbons in the exhaust gas can be removed, but initial denitration and desulfurization can be optimized at the same time, and a simple and inexpensive structure can be implemented.
[0041]
[0042]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, when it is used for a marine internal combustion engine, it is suitable for a marine internal combustion engine because it is easy to obtain a cooling / cleaning liquid.
[0043]
