Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a storage device for a motorcycle configured to store a long object such as a U-shaped lock device below a seating seat.
[0002]
[Prior art]
U-shaped locking devices marketed as antitheft locking devices for motorcycles are widely used in that they are very robust compared to chain locks, wire locks, and the like. However, since this U-shaped locking device cannot be folded as small as a chain lock or wire lock, it is difficult to store the U-shaped locking device in a small-volume storage device provided under a seating seat of a motorcycle. As a conventional example of a structure for storing the U-shaped lock device below the seating seat, there is one disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-89472.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the structure of the above conventional example is suitable for a road sport type vehicle in which the position of the seating seat is relatively high and the front and rear dimensions of the seating seat are long. For example, as in the case of an American type vehicle type, For a vehicle type with a low position and a short seat front-rear dimension, it is difficult to apply the seat cushion because the cushion thickness of the seat seat cannot be increased, and restrictions on the body layout increase. Moreover, the structure of the above-described conventional example simply stores only the U-shaped lock device, and cannot store other types of long objects such as folding umbrellas.
[0004]
The present invention has been made to solve such problems, and is not affected by the height or length of the seating seat, the vehicle body layout, or the like, and affects the swing arm for supporting the rear wheels. It is an object of the present invention to provide a storage device for a motorcycle that can easily store a U-shaped lock device and other long objects without giving a load and can be firmly installed on a vehicle body.
[0005]
In order to solve the above-described problem, a storage device for a motorcycle according to the present invention has an engine mounted on a front half portion of a vehicle body frame and is installed on a rear lower portion of the vehicle body frame as described in claim 1 . A swing arm that supports the rear wheel on the pivot shaft is pivotally supported, and a seating seat is placed between the engine and a rear fender that covers the rear wheel, and is stored under the seating seat. In the motorcycle storage apparatus in which the box is installed , the storage box is shaped so that the front and rear dimensions of the lower box section are narrowed from the top to the bottom with respect to the front and rear dimensions of the upper box section in a side view of the storage box. , extend downwardly so as to penetrate the swing arm of the rear wheel supporting vertically only the narrowed was lower box portion between the pivot shaft and the rear wheel, The bottom of the vehicle body is close to the bridge pipe that connects the lower part of the body frame extending in the vehicle width direction, and the width is made substantially uniform in the vertical direction, and the front-rear dimension of the penetrating part is made smaller than the width dimension. A fixing portion for the motorcycle body is provided at the uppermost portion of the storage box so as to correspond to the lower portion of the seating seat, and a fixing portion for the bridge pipe is provided in the lower box portion.
[0006]
Also, storage device of the motorcycle, as described in claim 1, wherein the storage box is formed from above in a side view in narrowed shape downward, only the narrowed portion to the swing arm Penetrated.
[0007]
Furthermore, in this motorcycle storage device, as described in claim 1 , the front-rear dimension of the portion of the storage box that penetrates the swing arm is made smaller than the width dimension.
[0008]
The storage device of the motorcycle, as described in claim 1, provided with a fixed portion of the vehicle body of the motorcycle at the bottom and at least the top of the storage box.
[0009]
If the storage device for a motorcycle is configured as described in claim 1, even when the seating seat is low or the seating seat is short, the storage box can have a sufficient length in the vertical direction. In addition, the U-shaped lock device and other long objects can be stored without difficulty without being influenced by the vehicle body layout or the like.
[0010]
If the motorcycle storage device is configured as described in claim 1 , the dimension from the pivot shaft of the swing arm to the rear wheel is kept short to prevent the wheel base from being enlarged, and at the same time, the rear side of the swing arm pivot shaft. The bridge member located in the position can be kept thick, and the swing arm rigidity can be prevented from being lowered. Therefore, it is possible to store a long object without affecting the swing arm.
[0011]
Furthermore, if the storage device for a motorcycle is configured as described in claim 1 , a storage box having a shape extending long in the vertical direction can be firmly installed on the vehicle body.
[0012]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a left side view showing an example of a motorcycle to which an embodiment of a storage device according to the present invention is applied. This motorcycle is, for example, an American type vehicle in which the position of the handlebar is high and the position of the seating seat is low.
[0013]
In the body frame 2 of the motorcycle 1, a thick main pipe 4 and a thin down pipe 5 extend obliquely downward and rearward from a head pipe 3 provided at the front head. A seat base 19 is fixed to an intermediate portion between the seat pipes 17L and 17R, and a cushion bracket 20 is fixed to a curved portion of the seat stays 16L and 16R.
[0016]
A front fork 24 that supports the front wheel 23 is pivotally supported on the head pipe 3 of the vehicle body frame 2 together with a handlebar 25, a headlight 26, a front fender 27, and the like so as to be rotatable left and right. On the other hand, a swing arm 29 that supports the rear wheel 28 is pivotally supported on the pivot shaft 11 installed between the left and right frame bodies 8L and 8R, and the rear wheels 28 are supported on the seat stays 16L and 16R. The rear fender 30 covering the upper part of is fixed. Further, a cushion unit 32 is connected between the cushion bracket 20 of the vehicle body frame 2 and a cushion rod 31 (see FIG. 5) provided at the rear end of the swing arm 29, so that the vertical movement of the swing arm 29 is buffered and restored. .
[0017]
Further, a V-type two-cylinder engine 35 is mounted on the front half of the body frame 2, an air cleaner 36 is provided above the engine 35, and a fuel tank 37 is installed so as to straddle the main pipe 4. . A seating seat 38 is placed on the seat pipes 17L and 17R, and a pillion seat 39 is placed on the latter half of the seat stays 16L and 16R.
[0018]
As shown in FIG. 2, the seating seat 38 is locked by inserting a locking hook 41 provided on the lower surface of the front portion thereof into a holder plate 42 provided on the curved portion of the main pipe 4 from the rear side. The lock member 43 provided on the upper surface of the bridge plate 18 is fixed to the lock mechanism 44, and the cushion member 45 provided on the lower surface of the intermediate portion is placed on the seat base 19 of the seat pipes 17L and 17R. . The seating seat 38 can be removed by unlocking the lock mechanism 44.
[0019]
A storage device 48 according to the present invention is provided below the seating seat 38. The storage device 48 is mainly composed of a storage box 49. The storage box 49 is integrally formed by synthetic resin molding, for example, and is formed in a deep box shape that opens upward.
[0020]
As shown in FIG. 2, the side view shape of the storage box 49 is such that the lower box portion 51 occupying substantially the lower half of the storage box 49 with respect to the front-rear dimension L1 of the upper box portion 50 occupying the upper half of the storage box 49. It is shaped so that the front-rear dimension L2 is narrowed by one step. Due to the difference between the front and rear dimensions L1 and L2, a stepped portion 52 is formed on the rear surface of the storage box 49. The front surface of the storage box 49 is a flat surface.
[0021]
Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 5, the front-rear dimension L2 of the lower box portion 51 is set smaller than the width dimension W. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the width dimension W is a dimension that allows the U-shaped lock device 54 to be stored sideways. Note that a stopper or the like that holds the U-shaped lock device 54 may be formed on the inner surface of the storage box 49 to restrict the movement of the U-shaped lock device 54.
[0022]
A pair of front and rear box stoppers 56L, 56R, 57L, and 57R are formed on the left and right sides of the uppermost portion of the storage box 49, and a pair of left and right upper portions that extend rearward at the uppermost rear edge of the storage box 49. A fixed piece 58 is formed, and a pair of left and right lower fixed protrusions 59 extending downward are formed on the front side of the lowermost part (bottom surface) of the storage box 49.
[0023]
As shown in FIG. 6, the storage box 49 is inserted from above so as to pass between the left and right seat pipes 17L, 17R and the bridge plate 18 of the body frame 2 and the left and right frame bodies 8L, 8R. 2 is incorporated. 2, 3, and 5, only the lower box portion 51, which is a narrowed portion of the storage box 49, moves the swing arm 29 in the vertical direction between the pivot shaft 11 and the rear wheel 28. It penetrates and extends downward.
[0024]
As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the lower fixing protrusion 59 of the storage box 49 is inserted into the elastic cushion grommet 61 inserted into the lower bracket 14 of the bridge pipe 13, thereby the lower part of the storage box 49. Movement in the front-rear direction and the left-right direction is restricted. Further, as shown in FIG. 8, the upper fixing piece 58 of the storage box 49 is fastened with a screw 63 to a nut member 62 fixed to the back surface of the upper surface of the bridge plate 18, so that the entire storage box 49 is pulled upward. Prolapse is prevented.
[0025]
Further, the box stoppers 56L, 56R, 57L, 57R at the top of the storage box 49 are placed on the upper surfaces of the left and right seat pipes 17L, 17R as indicated by hatching 65L, 65R, 66L, 66R in FIG. The weight of the entire storage box 49 is released to the seat pipes 17L and 17R through the box stoppers 56L, 56R, 57L and 57R. The seat pedestal 19 provided at the intermediate portion of the seat pipes 17L and 17R is positioned in advance so as to be exposed between the front box stoppers 56L and 56R and the rear box stoppers 57L and 57R.
[0026]
As shown in FIG. 5, the swing arm 29 includes a pivot pipe 68 through which the pivot shaft 11 is inserted, a pair of left and right arm members 69 </ b> L and 69 </ b> R, and a left and right arm member 69 </ b> L and 69 </ b> R behind the pivot pipe 68. The bridge member 70 to be connected is welded to each other and assembled, and the lower box portion 51 of the storage box 49 penetrates in the vertical direction through a square space surrounded by these members 68, 69L, 69R, 70.
[0027]
The step portion 52 on the rear surface of the storage box 49 is set to be positioned slightly above the bridge member 70 of the swing arm 29 (see FIG. 2). Therefore, the bridge member 70 does not interfere with the storage box 49 when the swing arm 29 rotates up and down around the pivot shaft 11. For example, a battery 71 is disposed on the right side of the storage box 49 (see FIGS. 3 and 4).
[0028]
In the storage device 48 configured as described above, articles are taken into and out of the storage box 49 by removing the seating seat 38. A dedicated lid member may be provided in the upper opening of the storage box 49.
[0029]
According to the storage device 48, the storage box 49 penetrates the swing arm 29 in the vertical direction, so that the position of the seating seat 38 is low and the American type is short as the motorcycle 1 does. Even with this type of vehicle, the vertical length of the storage box 49 can be taken sufficiently without sacrificing the cushion thickness of the seating seat 38. For this reason, a long object such as the U-shaped lock device 54 or a folding umbrella can be accommodated without difficulty regardless of the vehicle body layout or the like.
[0030]
Moreover, the storage box 49 is shaped so that the front-rear dimension L2 of the lower box part 51 is one step narrower than the front-rear dimension L1 of the upper box part 50, and the front-rear dimension L2 of the lower box part 51 is greater than the width dimension W. Only the lower box part 51 penetrates between the pivot pipe 68 of the swing arm 29 and the bridge member 70 in the vertical direction.
[0031]
For this reason, the dimension from the pivot shaft 11 to the rear wheel 28 of the swing arm 29 is kept short, the enlargement of the wheel base of the motorcycle 1 is prevented, and at the same time, the bridge member 70 of the swing arm 29 is kept thick and the rigidity of the swing arm 29 is lowered. Can be avoided. Accordingly, it is possible to store a long object such as the U-shaped lock device 54 without affecting the swing arm 29. In addition, since the front-rear dimension L1 of the upper box part 50 is larger than the front-rear dimension L2 of the lower box part 51, not only elongated articles but also relatively large articles can be easily accommodated.
[0032]
Furthermore, the storage box 49 has a structure in which an upper fixing piece 58 provided at the uppermost portion and a lower fixing protrusion 59 provided at the lowermost portion are fixed to the bridge plate 18 and the lower bracket 14 of the vehicle body frame 2, respectively. Therefore, the storage box 49 having a shape extending in the vertical direction can be firmly installed with respect to the vehicle body frame 2, and even if a heavy object is stored in the storage box 49, the storage box 49 is prevented from being glazed. it can.
[0033]
In this embodiment, the storage box 49 is directly fixed to the vehicle body frame 2, but the upper fixing piece 58, the lower fixing protrusion 59, or other fixing portion of the storage box 49 is attached to a vehicle body constituent member other than the vehicle body frame 2. It may be fixed. Further, the storage box 49 is not only formed as a single component, but may be formed integrally with other components such as the rear fender 30 and the side cover.
[0034]
Further, in this embodiment, the swing arm 29 is composed of a pivot pipe 68, a pair of left and right arm members 69L and 69R, and a bridge member 70. For example, the swing arm 29 does not have the pivot pipe 68, and the left and right arm members 69L, Even if it is a swing arm of the type in which the tip of 69R is directly supported by the pivot shaft 11 or a swing arm of a type that supports the rear wheel 28 in a cantilevered manner, it is between the pivot shaft 11 and the rear wheel 28. Thus, the lower portion of the storage box 49 can be vertically penetrated through the swing arm.
[0035]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the storage device for a motorcycle according to the present invention, the storage box installed at the lower part of the seating seat vertically penetrates the swing arm for supporting the rear wheel between the pivot shaft and the rear wheel. Thus, since the storage box is extended downward, the vertical length of the storage box can be taken sufficiently, and it depends on the height and length of the seating seat, the vehicle body layout, etc. Therefore, a long object such as a U-shaped lock device can be stored without difficulty.
[0036]
Further, in the motorcycle storage device according to the present invention, the storage box is formed in a shape that narrows from the upper side to the lower side in a side view, and the front-rear dimension of the narrowed portion is made smaller than the width dimension, Since only the constricted portion is penetrated through the swing arm, the storage box can be penetrated through the swing arm without affecting the swing arm, and a long object can be stored.
[0037]
In the motorcycle storage device according to the present invention, the fixing unit for the motorcycle body is provided at least at the uppermost part and the lowermost part of the storage box. And can be installed firmly.
