Description
【0001】

The competitive reaction system uses a phenolamine salt as an amphoteric compound, and utilizes the fact that the coloring reaction proceeds with a phenol group and the decoloring reaction proceeds with an amino group. Here, as the leuco dye, a triarylmethane compound (a crystal violet lactone in this range is well known), a diphenylmethane compound, a xanthene compound, a spiro compound, a fluoran compound, or the like is used. At this time, since the speed of the coloring reaction is faster than the speed of the decoloring reaction, the color is fixed in a colored state when heated and rapidly cooled, and is fixed in a decolored state when heated and gradually cooled. .
[0031]
In the phase separation system, the compatibility state of the leuco dye and the long-chain alkyl acidic compound is controlled by the difference in cooling rate between the compatibility state and the incompatibility state. When the mixture is heated and gradually cooled in a compatible state, phase separation occurs, the mixture becomes incompatible, and the color is erased. Here, as the long-chain alkyl acidic compound, a phenol compound having a long-chain alkyl group or a phosphonic acid compound having a long-chain alkyl group can be used. The long-chain alkyl group preferably has 11 or more carbon atoms in the former case and 14 or more carbon atoms in the latter case.
[0032]
In actual use, rather than performing special cooling, usually, a thermal head is used to raise the temperature instantaneously for a time on the order of 1/1000 second and then heat it, and then cool it at room temperature to obtain "quick cooling." Can be realized, and the system as described above can be colored. In addition, as for "cooling down", if cooling after heating using a heating means having a large heat capacity such as a heat roller, a hot stamp, a heater bar, etc., since a given amount of heat is large, "cooling down" is realized, Decoloring is possible. In some cases, erasing with a thermal head is also possible by selecting the heating temperature and conditions.
In the case of such a leuco rewritable material, by appropriately selecting the type of the leuco dye, it is possible to colorize in various colors such as black, blue, and red.
[0033]
(2) In the polymer / organic low-molecular-weight dispersion system, a rewritable layer is formed from a composition in which a low-molecular organic material such as a fatty acid is uniformly dispersed in a transparent synthetic resin binder having a film-forming property. . This layer becomes transparent when given heat is applied thereto by a thermal head or the like and rapidly cooled, and becomes turbid when it is gradually cooled after applying the heat.
[0034]
As the binder of the synthetic resin, a resin that is transparent, has a film-forming property, and can uniformly disperse and hold a low-molecular organic substance is preferable, for example, polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer. And vinyl chloride resins, vinylidene chloride resins, acrylic resins, and other polyester resins.
As the organic low-molecular substance, various fatty acids and derivatives thereof can be used. Among them, saturated linear fatty acids having a carbon number of 10 to 30 and a melting point of 30 to 160 ° C. are preferable. Alternatively, two or more kinds can be used. The use of low-molecular organic substances having different melting points, for example, monocarboxylic acid and dicarboxylic acid, has the advantage that the temperature range for clearing can be widened.
[0035]
(3) In the liquid crystal system, a liquid crystal / polymer composite film is formed using a material in which a smectic liquid crystal is dispersed in a polymer matrix. In this liquid crystal system, liquid crystal molecules are brought into a random alignment state or an alignment state by using heat and an electric field, and in these states, the properties of light scattering and light transmission are used, respectively.
Further, a dichroic dye can be added for the purpose of improving the contrast and coloring, and a rewritable layer having excellent visibility can be obtained.
[0036]
Any of the above (1) to (3) can be used according to the application. Among them, the leuco dye system of (1) and the liquid crystal system of (3) can perform color display, and therefore, in view of visibility. Better.
Regardless of the use of any of the above (1) to (3), a transparent or translucent protective layer is formed on the rewritable layer in order to secure the printability of the rewritable layer and to improve the durability. As a material, a thermosetting resin or an ionizing radiation-curable resin may be used.
Prior to forming the rewritable layer, a primer layer or an intermediate layer of a synthetic resin may be formed in advance.

In the present invention, each item from the above-described formation of the characters and patterns of (1) to the provision of the area capable of sublimation transfer or the like of (9) is directly applied to the outermost surface of the card base material. However, when the card base material is integrated by hot pressing, it may be inserted between the sheets. Except for the case where it must be exposed to the outermost surface for recording or the like, it may be possible to prevent damage due to abrasion by forming it inside the outermost surface.

【The invention's effect】
According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the decoration layer is laminated on at least a part of the rewritable layer laminated on at least a part of the card base material, such a rewritable layer is exposed without the decoration layer. Compared with a certain case, the profile of the rewritable layer, that is, the presence of the rewritable layer, becomes less noticeable, and both the fact that the rewritable layer is noticeable and that the rewritable layer is colored due to fogging are alleviated.
