TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a power supply device for generating power while gradually extracting mechanical energy stored in mechanical energy storage means such as a mainspring and supplying the power to the outside.
[0002]
[Background Art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, there has been known a power supply device that generates power while gradually extracting mechanical energy stored in a mainspring or the like and supplies the power to the outside.
[0003]
In such a power supply device, it is necessary to effectively utilize the energy stored in the mainspring or the like to extend the duration, and various measures have been devised for that purpose. For example, according to the power generator of Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 8-75874, the voltage of the power supply is detected, and when the voltage is high, the release speed of the mainspring is increased by increasing the number of boosting stages or by short-circuiting both ends of the coil. Save energy by slowing down.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional power generator, a large number of capacitors are required to switch the number of boosting stages in order to increase the number of boosting stages.
[0005]
Further, when both ends of the coil are short-circuited, there is a problem that the flowing current becomes only heat and cannot be effectively used as electric energy.
[0006]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a power supply device that can reduce the cost and extend the duration time by effectively utilizing the energy stored in a spring or the like.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The power supply device of the present invention includes a power generation unit that converts mechanical energy stored in mechanical energy storage means into electric energy, a power storage unit that charges power from the power generation unit and supplies the power to the outside, A chopper control circuit that controls the rotation speed of the power generation unit based on a supply voltage by applying a brake to the power generation unit by choppering. The frequency of the chopper ring is 5 to 100 times the frequency of the electromotive voltage waveform of the power generation unit.It is characterized by the following.
[0008]
In the power supply device of the present invention, the power generation unit is driven by the energy stored in the mechanical energy storage means such as a mainspring, and the chopper control circuit applies a brake to the power generation unit based on the voltage supplied from the power storage unit to thereby control the rotor and the like. Governing the release rate of the mechanical energy source. Therefore, for example, when the mechanical energy is large and the voltage from the power storage unit is high, for example, immediately after the mainspring is wound up, the rotation of the power generation unit is suppressed by increasing the brake amount. When the mainspring is released and the mechanical energy is reduced to lower the supply voltage from the power storage unit, the braking amount is reduced or eliminated, and the rotation speed of the power generation unit is increased to increase the supply voltage.
[0009]
At this time, the rotation control (brake control) of the power generation unit is performed by choppering by turning on / off a switch capable of short-circuiting both ends of the coil of the power generation unit. By choppering, when the switch is turned on, a short brake is applied to the power generation unit, and energy is accumulated in the coil of the power generation unit. On the other hand, when the switch is turned off, the power generation unit operates, and the energy accumulated in the coil is included, so that the electromotive voltage increases. For this reason, when the power generation unit is controlled by choppering, a decrease in the generated power during braking can be compensated for by an increase in the electromotive voltage when the switch is turned off, and the braking torque can be increased while maintaining the generated power at or above a certain level.
[0010]
Therefore, by performing choppering control of the power generation unit based on the supply voltage of the power storage unit, it is possible to secure the necessary supply voltage and to suppress the release speed of mechanical energy such as the mainspring by applying a brake. And a power supply device having a long duration can be configured. In addition, since the voltage can be boosted by choppering, there is no need to provide a large number of capacitors for boosting, and the cost can be reduced.
[0011]
In addition, the frequency of the chopper ring exceeds the frequency of the electromotive voltage waveform of the power generation unit, and is 5 to 100 times the frequency of the electromotive voltage waveform.
[0012]
If the chopper ring frequency is lower than the frequency of the electromotive voltage waveform, the effect of increasing the electromotive voltage is reduced. Therefore, the frequency is preferably higher than the frequency of the electromotive voltage waveform, and more preferably 5 times or more.
[0013]
If the choppering frequency exceeds 100 times the electromotive voltage waveform, the power consumption of the IC increases due to choppering, and the generated power increases. Therefore, the choppering frequency may be 100 times or less the electromotive voltage waveform. preferable. Further, if the choppering frequency is 5 to 100 times the electromotive voltage waveform, the rate of change of the torque with respect to the rate of change of the duty cycle becomes close to constant, and control becomes easy.
[0014]
Preferably, the chopper control circuit increases the brake duty ratio when the supply voltage from the power storage unit is higher than the reference voltage, and decreases the brake duty ratio when the supply voltage is lower than the reference voltage. For example, when the on / off of a switch provided between the output terminals of the power generation unit is controlled by a chopper signal applied to this switch, if the duty ratio of the chopper signal is changed by the magnitude of the supply voltage, the magnitude of the voltage is , The duty ratio can be varied in accordance with the above, and the brake amount can be optimally controlled, so that the duration of the power supply device can be further lengthened.
[0015]
Further, in the power supply device, first and second switches synchronized with an output of the power generation unit are provided between first and second output terminals of the power generation unit and the power storage unit, respectively. A first switch is connected to a first field-effect transistor having a gate connected to a second output terminal of the power generation unit, and is connected in parallel to the first field-effect transistor and is switched on and off by the chopper control circuit. A second field effect transistor having a gate connected to a first output terminal of the power generation unit; and a third field effect transistor having a gate connected to a first output terminal of the power generation unit. And a fourth field-effect transistor connected in parallel with the transistor and connected and disconnected by the chopper control circuit.
[0016]
According to the present invention, for example, the polarity of the first output terminal of the generator is plus “+”, and the polarity of the second output terminal is minus “−” (lower potential than the first output terminal). , The first field-effect transistor (in the case of Pch) whose gate is connected to the second output terminal is turned on, and the third field-effect transistor (gate whose gate is connected to the first output terminal) is turned on. Pch) is turned off. For this reason, the AC output signal from the generator flows through the path of the first output terminal, the first field-effect transistor, a power storage unit such as a capacitor, and the second output terminal, and is rectified.
[0017]
When the second output terminal becomes positive and the first output terminal becomes negative (potential lower than the second output terminal), the third field-effect transistor having the gate connected to the first output terminal is activated. The transistor is turned on, and the first field-effect transistor whose gate is connected to the second output terminal is turned off. Therefore, the output signal flows through the path of the second output terminal, the third field-effect transistor, a power storage unit such as a capacitor, and the first output terminal, and is rectified.
[0018]
At this time, each of the second and fourth field-effect transistors repeatedly turns on and off due to the input of a chopper signal to the gate. If the first and third field effect transistors are in the on state, the second and fourth field effect transistors will have currents irrespective of the on and off states of the second and fourth field effect transistors. However, when the first and third field-effect transistors are off, current flows when each of the second and fourth field-effect transistors is turned on by a chopper signal. Therefore, when each of the second and fourth field effect transistors connected in parallel to one of the first and third field effect transistors in the off state is turned on by the chopper signal, both the first and second switches are turned on. Is turned on, and each AC output terminal is short-circuited.
[0019]
As a result, the voltage of the AC output signal can be increased by choppering, and the rectification control is performed by the first and third field-effect transistors whose gates are connected to the respective AC output terminals. There is no need to use it, the configuration is simplified, the number of components can be reduced, and a decrease in charging efficiency due to power consumption of the comparator can be prevented. Furthermore, since the on and off of the first and third field effect transistors are controlled using the voltage of the AC output terminal, each field effect transistor is controlled in synchronization with the polarity of each AC output terminal. Rectification efficiency can be improved. In addition, since the brake can be applied over the entire wave of the power generation unit, the brake amount can be increased, and the duration can be further increased.
[0020]
In the power supply device, the power storage unit is preferably a ceramic capacitor or a film capacitor.
[0021]
As a capacitor constituting such a power storage unit, an electrolytic capacitor or the like may be used. However, if a ceramic capacitor or a film capacitor is used, performance deterioration due to repeated charging and discharging can be reduced, and the reliability of the power supply device can be increased. In addition, the product life can be prolonged.

In addition, since the voltage can be boosted by choppering, there is no need to provide a large number of capacitors as in a general boosting circuit, and the cost can be reduced.

In particular, when the brake is on, control is performed using a chopper signal with a large duty ratio, so that the braking torque can be increased while suppressing a decrease in charging voltage, and efficient brake control can be performed while maintaining system stability. It can be performed. Thereby, the duration of the power supply device 100 can be further extended.
