Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a resin sealing device that seals a resin with a film interposed therebetween, and particularly to a resin sealing device capable of extending wrinkles of the film.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, when an IC lead frame or the like is resin-sealed in a sealing cavity of a mold, a film is interposed between a sealing cavity surface side of an upper mold or a lower mold of the mold and a sealing resin. Attention has been paid to a resin sealing device configured as described above (for example, see Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-252311).
[0003]
The reason why the film is interposed between the cavity surface of the mold and the resin is, for example, by interposing the film. 1) When the mold after sealing is separated from the product, a so-called ejector pin is used. It is not necessary to separate the product from the mold forcibly, so the product is not easily damaged. 2) Each product is not clearly separated at the resin encapsulation stage. In the case of sealing and separating by a cutter after sealing, and even in the case where the shape of the sealing portion is frequently changed, the mechanism for moving the eject pin forward and backward is not required. 3) The resin does not adhere to the sealing cavity surface of the mold, so that the maintenance burden of cleaning the cavity surface is reduced, and 4) the peeling process can be simplified. Therefore, advantages such as shortening of the sealing cycle time can be obtained.
[0004]
As the film used for this purpose, fluorine-impregnated glass cloth, polypropylene, polyvinylidene chloride and the like which are excellent in heat resistance are known.
[0005]

[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in a resin encapsulation device having this type of film transport structure, wrinkles may occur in the film F due to a slight imbalance in the transport system of the film F. If molding is performed while wrinkles are generated on F, there is a problem that defective products are generated due to scratches on the molded products.
[0010]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a resin sealing device that can prevent a wrinkle from occurring in a film adsorbed on a mold with a relatively simple configuration.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention, when a lead frame or the like is resin-sealed in a sealing cavity of a mold, a film is interposed between a sealing cavity surface side of an upper mold or a lower mold of the mold and a sealing resin. A resin sealing device configured to cause the film to be conveyed intermittently at each time of sealing once from the supply roll side to the take-up roll side to guide the conveyance of the film. Among the guide rollers, at least one guide roller arranged near the entrance side or the exit side of the mold can be divided into a plurality of roller pieces in the axial direction. This problem has been solved by making the pair of roller pieces to be able to move away from and approach each other while maintaining the same coaxiality.
[0012]
In the present invention, among the guide rollers for guiding the conveyance of the film, the guide roller near the mold can be divided in the axial direction, and a pair of outer roller members among the divided roller members are separated from each other. As a result, the film can be stretched in the width direction, and the occurrence of wrinkles when the film is attracted to the mold can be prevented.
[0013]
Here, when the guide roller is divided into, for example, two roller pieces, the two roller pieces correspond to “a pair of roller pieces”. When the guide roller is divided into, for example, three or more roller pieces, a pair of roller pieces existing on both sides (outermost in the film width direction) corresponds to a “pair of roller pieces” (described later).
[0014]
The timing at which the separating operation of the pair of roller pieces is performed may be after or after the transport of the film is stopped for each sealing.
[0015]
When the roller pieces are separated from each other with the guide roller stopped, the film is pulled outward in the width direction due to friction between the roller peripheral surface and the film. Since wrinkles can be extended in a state where unnecessary force other than a force in a direction of pulling the film outward is not applied, a possibility that new wrinkles are formed due to separation of the pair of roller pieces can be reduced. In this case, in particular, if the outer diameter of the roller piece in the film width direction is made larger than the center side, wrinkles are gradually eliminated from the center side where the tension (frictional force) is weakly applied, so that a good result is obtained. Can be
[0016]
On the other hand, when the separation of the pair of roller pieces is started immediately before stopping the conveyance of the film, in addition to the pulling action due to the friction between the roller peripheral surface and the film until the film is stopped, the rotation of the roller is also performed. Can be effectively used to pull the film in the width direction. Also in this case, the outer diameter of the roller piece in the film width direction is made larger than the center side, or a spiral that can guide the film from the center in the width direction to the opposite center side on the outer periphery of the roller piece is used. By forming, wrinkles can be more efficiently extended.
[0017]
Further, it is effective that the pair of roller pieces can be independently driven to rotate by a separate driving means. Thereby, even after the stop, the same operation as starting the separation from before the stop described above can be obtained.
