Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an improvement in a valve train used for an internal combustion engine.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2 and 3 show an example of a valve train conventionally used in an internal combustion engine.
At one end of an intake or
[0003]
Conventionally, a high-strength piano wire or a silicon chrome steel wire has been used as a material of the valve spring 7 which requires severe fatigue conditions and high fatigue strength. However, since these materials are relatively heavy, if they are used for a long period of time, the fatigue strength of the lower part of the valve spring 7, which is particularly burdened by its own weight, may be reduced, and the

That is, when the engine is running at high speed, the
[0005]
These problems can be solved by reducing the weight of the valve spring 7 itself. That is, if the valve spring 7 itself is reduced in weight, the load of its own weight applied to the lower part of the valve spring 7 can be reduced, and the durability can be improved. Further, the natural frequency of the valve spring 7 is inversely proportional to the weight acting on the valve spring 7. Therefore, if the valve spring 7 itself is reduced in weight, the weight acting on the valve spring 7 decreases and the natural frequency rises, and the
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, as a material for reducing the weight of the valve spring 7 as described above, it is generally conceivable to use a titanium material, an aluminum material, or the like.
However, lightweight materials such as titanium and aluminum are not as high-strength materials as conventionally used piano wire and chrome steel wire. There is a problem that it is necessary to perform the processing and the manufacturing process becomes complicated.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and has been made to be able to secure durability in a lower portion of a valve spring while maintaining good valve train characteristics in a high rotation range of an internal combustion engine. An object of the present invention is to provide a valve train for an engine.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, in the valve train of an internal combustion engine of the present invention, the valve spring is disposed in series with the first valve spring located on the valve head side and the first valve spring. is constituted by a second valve spring which is located on the other end side of the valve, the first valve spring and the second valve spring is a spring constant is almost the same Rutotomoni, the second said valve spring first valve spring The second valve spring is made lighter than the first valve spring. That is, the first valve spring is provided on the side of the valve head located below the valve, and the lighter second valve spring is provided above the first valve spring. For this reason, the natural frequency of the valve spring can be effectively increased to improve the valve operating system characteristics, and the burden on the lower part of the valve spring can be reduced, so that surface treatment such as plating is not required. No metal fatigue or wear occurs, and sufficient durability can be ensured.
It is preferable that the first valve spring and the second valve spring have substantially the same length. Further, the first valve spring is made of a steel material, and the second valve spring is made of a titanium material, so that the second valve spring is formed of a lighter material than the first valve spring. The weight of the spring may be smaller than the weight of the first valve spring.
