本発明はタオルの製造に当たりタオル地の端部に折曲ヘムを形成するようにしている折曲ヘム形成装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
図5において、Aは例えば特開平5−329285号公報で知られた折曲ヘム形成装置であって、1はテーブルで、中央部にはタオル地14の中間部を垂らす為の間隙2を有している。3は長尺タオル地の切断装置、4はタオル地の両端をヘム折りする為のヘム折装置、5はタオル地の端部に向けてそこに挟み込むためのラベルを供給するラベル供給装置、6はタオル地において折り曲げられた端部の縫製工程を行う為の縫製装置である。7はタオル地を切断装置3からヘム折装置4に向けて搬送すると共にヘム折装置4から縫製工程に向けて搬送する為の搬送装置で、例えば実公昭61−18076号公報で知られた構成のものであり、ヘム形成装置Aの図示外のフレームに取付けているレール8と、そのレール8に矢印方向に進退自在に装着した進退枠9と、タオル地をテーブル1の上面上に押さえ付ける為の押え片10,11とから構成されている。上記押え片10,11は上記進退枠9に備えさせた昇降装置によって個別に上下動する。12は上記ヘム折装置4から縫製工程に向けてその途中位置15まで送られたタオル地を、上記搬送装置7から受け継いでその途中位置15から縫製装置6まで搬送する為の搬送装置の存在を示す。

上記折曲ヘム形成装置Aにあっては、矢印13aのように送られてきた長尺のタオル地13は切断装置3により所定の大きさのタオル地14に切断される。該タオル地14は搬送装置7の押え片10によってテーブル1の上面上に押さえ付けられ、その上面上を滑らせてヘム折装置4に運ばれ、そこで両端部がヘム折りされる。ヘム折りされたタオル地の両端部は搬送装置7の押え片11によってテーブル1の上面上に押さえ付けられ、その上面上を滑らせて縫製工程に向けその途中位置15まで運ばれる。そしてその途中位置15から搬送装置12により縫製装置6に運ばれそこで上記折り曲げられたタオル地の端部がその折曲が復元せぬよう縫い付けられる。

次に上記ヘム折装置4は図6に示されるようにタオル地14の一方及び他方の端部を夫々折り曲げる為の二つの折曲機構16でもって構成している。各折曲機構16はタオル地の端部における折位置を規定する為の位置決機構17と、上記位置決機構17により規定された折位置を中心にして上記タオル地14の端部における折位置よりも外側の部分を一次折する為の一次折装置18と、その一次折された端部を新しく規定される折位置を中心にして更に二次折りする為の二次折装置19とから成る。上記位置決機構17は例えば特開平6−316371号公報において知られた構成のもので、ベース22及びそれに元部を取付けた金属薄板製の定規片23とから成る定規21と、該定規21を位置替えさせる為の定規駆動機構24と、定規21におけるベース22と駆動機構24における駆動用の作動部24aとを繋ぐ連結腕25とから構成している。上記連結腕25は図8の平面図に示すように上記定規21の幅方向W(図8における上下方向)の中央位置に配設してベース22の中央部に連結している。次に上記一次折装置18は、上記タオル地14の端部を折り返す為の折部材26と、その折部材26を上記折り返しの為に矢印方向に駆動する駆動装置27とから構成している。二次折装置19も同様に折部材28とそれを駆動する為の駆動装置29とから構成している。次にラベル供給装置5は例えば特開平3−191982号公報で知られた構成のものであり、長尺のラベル素材を切断して1枚1枚のラベルを形成する切断装置31と、形成されたラベルを上記タオル地14の端部に向けて搬送する為の搬送手段32を備えている。搬送手段32は、ラベルを上記タオル地の端部において上記折曲により内側となる部分にラベルの端部が位置する状態に供給する為の搬送部を備えている。搬送手段32は例えば上記切断装置31のハウジングに取付けたエアシリンダと、該エアシリンダ33のシリンダロッドの先端に取付けた把持装置34とから構成しており、該構成例の場合、上記搬送部は上記把持装置34でもって構成される。

上記折曲機構16にあっては、一次折装置18によりタオル地14の端部を図6、図7に示すように折ることにより、そこが二重となる。その二重となった端部14bにおいて所定の折位置36に対し、駆動機構24により定規21を操作して定規片23のエッジ23aを宛がう。次に図7に示すように、ラベル供給装置5の把持装置34により把持したラベル37を、上記タオル地の端部14bにおいて上記折曲により内側となる部分38(例えば上記折位置36の近傍)にラベル37の端部37bが位置する状態に、例えばラベルの端37aが上記折位置36の上に来るように、シリンダ33の伸長によって供給する。尚連結腕25は図7に示す如き形状に形成しているので、上記ラベルの供給の間に、搬送装置7における押え片11を図6、図7の如くタオル地14の上方に待機させておくことが出来る。次に駆動装置29によって折部材28を作動させ、上記端部14bにおいて上記折位置36よりも外側の部分14cを、上記折位置36を中心にして矢印14d方向に折り返す。これによりタオル地14の端部は三つ折り状態となり、上記ラベル37の端部37bはその内側の部分に位置して該ラベル37の端部37bは上記折られた端部の間に挟み込まれた状態となる。このとき、折り曲げられた端部は折部材28により押さえ付けられて、折り曲げ状態の復元及び挟み込まれたラベル37の離脱が防止されている。次に把持装置34と定規21とを退避させ、押え片11を下降させて上記三つ折り状態の端部をテーブル1の上面上に押さえ付ける。そして折部材28を退避させた後、進退枠9を作動させて上記三つ折り状態の端部をテーブル1a上に押さえ付けたままタオル地14を縫製工程に向けて搬送する。

上記装置にあっては、タオル地14の端部14bを折り曲げる場合、所定の折位置36に定規21のエッジ23aを当てて折るので、所定位置で正確に折り曲げることが出来る。しかも上記の場合、タオル端部14bの折曲によって内側となる部分38にラベル37を供給することにより、折り曲げたタオル地の端部14bによりそのラベル37の端部37bを挟み込むことができる。このことは、折り曲げた端部14bの固定のための後の縫製の際にラベル37も一緒に縫って固定することを可能にする。更にそのようにラベル37の端部37bが挟み込まれる状態でタオル地14の端部14bを折り曲げた後は、その折り曲げた端部14bを搬送装置によりテーブル上に押さえ付けて、それを折曲状態及びラベルの挟み込み状態のままで縫製工程に運ぶことが出来、上記折られたままの状態を保ってそこが復元せぬよう縫製できる。しかも上記構成のものにあっては、上記のようにタオル地14の端部14bに定規21のエッジ23aを当てる場合、定規21とそれの駆動機構24とを繋ぐ連結腕25は定規21の幅方向の中央部に連結しているので、上記エッジ23aに加わるタオル地14への押し付け力は幅方向の中央部を中心に左右のバランスがとれ、該エッジ23aをタオル地14に対してその幅方向の全体にわたり均一な力で押し当ることが出来、タオルの全幅を所定位置で折ることが出来る特長がある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
昨今、広幅のタオルの端部において幅方向の中央にラベルを付けたいという希望から、上記ラベルの供給の場合、広幅のタオルの幅方向の中央にラベルを供給できるようにしてほしいと言う要求がある。しかし上記従来のタオルの折曲ヘム形成装置では、上記定規21の幅方向Wの中央部21cに、上記駆動機構24に対する連結腕25が連結してあるので、ラベル供給装置5からラベル37を供給できる位置がその中央にある連結腕25を避けた偏在位置となり、上記のような要求に答えられぬと言う問題点があった。

本願発明のタオルのヘム折装置は上記従来技術の問題点(技術的課題)を解決する為に提供するものである。
第1の目的は、タオル地の端部を折り曲げる場合、そこに定規のエッジを当てて折ることにより、上記端部を所定位置で正確に折り曲げることが出来るようにすることである。
第2の目的は、上記の場合、タオル地の端部の折曲によって内側となる部分にラベルの端部を供給することにより、折り曲げたタオル地の端部によってそのラベルの端部を挟み込めるようにすることである。
第3の目的は、ラベルの端部が挟み込まれる状態でタオル地の端部を折り曲げた後は、その折り曲げた端部を押さえ付けて、それを折曲状態及びラベルの挟み込み状態のままで縫製工程に運ぶことが出来るようにすることである。
第4の目的は、上記ラベルの供給の場合、タオル地の幅方向の中央位置にも或いは中央位置から偏在した位置にもラベルを供給できるようにすることである。第5の目的は、上記中央位置或いは偏在位置へのラベルの供給を、狭幅のタオル地に対しても或いは広幅のタオル地に対しても行い得るようにすることである。
第6の目的は、上記のように定規を用いてのタオル地の端部の折曲に際して、タオル地の幅方向の中央位置或いは偏在位置へのラベルの供給を、狭幅のタオル地に対しても或いは広幅のタオル地に対しても行い得るようにするものであっても、上記のようにタオル地の端部の折曲の為にそこに定規を当る場合、タオル地の全幅にわたり均一な力で定規を押し当てて、タオル地を全幅にわたり所定位置で適正に折り曲げ得るようにすることである。
他の目的及び利点は図面及びそれに関連した以下の説明により容易に明らかになるであろう。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成する為に、本願発明におけるタオルの折曲ヘム形成装置は、タオル地の端部を乗せるためのテーブルと、上記テーブル上のタオル地の端部を折り曲げる為の折曲機構と、上記タオル地の端部において上記折曲により内側となる部分にラベルの端部が位置する状態にラベルを供給する為の搬送部を備えているラベル供給装置と、上記タオル地の折り曲げられた端部を上記テーブル上に押さえ付けると共にその押え付け状態で該タオル地を縫製工程に向けて搬送する為の搬送装置とを備え、上記折曲機構は、タオル地の端部における折位置を規定する為の位置決機構と、上記位置決機構により規定された折位置を中心にして上記タオル地の端部における折位置よりも外側の部分を折り返す為の折部材とを備え、上記位置決機構は、上記折位置に宛がうためのエッジを備えている定規と、上記定規を位置替えさせる為の定規駆動機構と、それら両者を繋ぐ連結腕とから構成しているタオルの折曲ヘム形成装置において、上記連結腕は、定規の幅方向の中間部において定めるラベルの供給空間を避けたその両側に配置すると共に、上記ラベル供給装置における搬送部は上記定規の幅方向の中央と対応する位置を含めてその幅方向への位置替えを自在にしたものである。

【作用】
タオル地の端部における所定の折位置に定規のエッジを当てる。次にラベル供給装置によりラベルを上記タオル地の端部において折曲によって内側となるところに供給する。次に折部材によりタオル地の端部を折り返す。この場合、上記タオル地端部には定規のエッジを当てているので折位置が正確となる。又上記折り返しによりラベルは折られたタオル地の端部の内側に挟み込まれる。上記タオル地端部の折曲後定規を除去し、搬送装置により該タオル地を縫製工程に移動させる。この場合、上記の折り曲げられた端部を搬送装置により押さえ付けるので、上記折り曲げ状態を保って、且つラベルの挟み込み状態を維持したままでタオル地を縫製工程に送ることが出来る。
上記ラベルの供給の場合、ラベル供給装置が上記定規の幅方向の中央と対応する位置を含めてその幅方向へ位置替え自在の構成は、タオル地の幅方向の中央位置にも或いは中央位置から偏在した位置にもラベルを供給することを可能にする。又そのような位置へのラベルの供給を、狭幅のタオル地に対して行うことも又広幅のタオル地に対して行うことも可能にする。
上記定規とその駆動機構とを連結する連結腕を、上記のようなラベルの供給を行うラベル供給空間を避けたその両側の位置に夫々配置し、定規はそれら両方の連結腕によって駆動機構に連結する構成は、タオル地端部の折曲の為にそこに定規を当る場合、タオル地の全幅にわたり均一な力で定規を押し当てることを可能にし、タオル地を全幅にわたり所定位置で適正に折り曲げることを可能にする。

【実施例】
以下本願の実施例を示す図1乃至図3について説明する。尚これらの図中の符号で図5〜図8と同一の符号は機能上均等の構成の部分を表すものであって説明が重複するので、その重複する説明を省略する。図において、定規21と定規駆動機構24とを連結する連結腕25は、定規21の幅方向Wの中間部において定めるラベルの供給空間41を避けたその両側に配置している。上記ラベルの供給空間41は、本例ではラベル37が端部37bを図1に示すように寝かせた状態で供給されるので、その供給を阻害せぬよう定規片23の上方において定めており、又上記幅方向Wへのその空間41の大きさは、予定される最大幅(例えば1m幅)のタオル地14eに対してその縁部14e’に近い位置にもラベルの供給を可能にする為に、上記方向Wに90cm程度の幅を取っている。又その空間41は、上記タオル14eの左右どちら側に偏在した位置にもラベルの供給を可能にする為に定規21の幅方向Wの中心21cを含みそこから左右対称に取っている。そして上記連結腕25は上記のような空間41を避けて、その左右両側に配設し、各々の下端をベース22の左右の縁部22aに連結している。尚連結腕25の幅W1は、上記空間41を幅方向Wに出来るだけ広くとることができるようにする為に、定規21を支持するに必要な強度が得られる範囲で出来るだけ小さくすると良い。上記両連結腕25の各上端は、図2、図3の如く各々のために個別に設けた各駆動機構24の夫々の作動部24aに個別に連結している。しかし図4に示すように駆動機構24を一つのみ備えさせ、それの作動部24aに杆体42の中央部を連結し、その杆体42の両端部に夫々各連結腕25の上端を連結しても良い。次に上記ラベル供給装置5における搬送部34は上記定規21の幅方向Wの中央21cと対応する位置5cを含めてその幅方向Wへの位置替えを自在にしている。例えばヘム形成装置Aの基枠に取付けた支持フレーム43に上記幅方向Wに長いレール44を固定し、そのレール44に可動ベース45をレールに沿って位置替え自在に取付け、該可動ベース45にラベル切断装置31を取付けている。

上記構成のものにあっては、広幅のタオル地14eにおける幅方向Wの中央部にラベル37を供給したい場合には、図2に示す如くラベル供給装置5を定規21の中央21cと対応する位置5cに位置させ、その位置からラベルの供給を行う。一方広幅のタオル地14eの中央から偏在した位置にラベルを供給したい場合には、可動ベース45を移動させることによりラベル供給装置5を上記偏在位置に対応する位置に移動させ、そこでラベルの供給を行う。一方狭幅のタオル地14fに対してその幅方向の中央にラベルを供給したり、偏在位置にラベルを供給したい場合においても、上記広幅の場合と同様にラベル供給装置5の位置替えによってその要求に応えることが出来る。

【発明の効果】
以上のように本願発明にあっては、タオル地14の端部14bを折り曲げる場合、そこに定規21のエッジ23aを当てて折ることができるので、上記端部14bを所定位置36で正確に折り曲げることが出来る効果がある。
しかも上記の場合、タオル地14の端部14bの折曲によって内側となる部分38にラベル37の端部37bを供給することにより、折り曲げたタオル地14の端部14bによりそのラベル37の端部37bを挟み込める特長がある。
更にそのようにラベル37の端部37bが挟み込まれる状態でタオル地14の端部14bを折り曲げた後は、その折り曲げた端部14bを押さえ付けて、それを折曲状態及びラベルの挟み込み状態のままで縫製工程に運ぶことが出来、上記折られたままの状態を保ってそこが復元せぬよう縫製できる特長がある。
しかもラベル供給装置5は上記定規21の幅方向の中央と対応する位置を含めてその幅方向への位置替えを自在にしているので、上記ラベル37の供給の場合、タオル地14の幅方向の中央位置にも或いは中央位置から偏在した位置にもラベル37を供給でき、タオルの端部において幅方向の中央位置にラベル37の付いたタオルにしたいとか、中央から離れた位置にラベルの付いたタオルにしたいといった種々の要求に応え得る効果がある。
又、上記のようにラベル供給装置5が位置替え可能の構成であるので、上記のような中央位置或いは偏在位置へのラベル37の供給を、狭幅のタオル地に対しても或いは広幅のタオル地に対しても行い得て、より多くの要求に応え得る効果がある。
更に上記のように定規21を用いてのタオル地14の端部14bの折曲に際して、上記のようにタオル地14の幅方向の中央位置或いは偏在位置へのラベル37の供給を可能にするものであっても、上記定規21とその駆動機構24とを連結する連結腕25は、上記のようなラベル37の供給を行うラベル供給空間41を避けたその両側の位置に夫々配置して、定規21はそれら両方の連結腕25によって駆動機構24に連結しているので、上記のようにタオル地14の端部14bの折曲の為にそこに定規21を当る場合、タオル地14の全幅にわたり均一な力で定規21を押し当てることが出来、タオル地14を全幅にわたり所定位置で適正に折り曲げることを可能に出来る効果がある。
