Next, the operation of this embodiment will be described. When the board connector 10 of the present embodiment is stored or transported before being attached to the circuit board P, as shown in FIG.
The terminal fitting 20 is inserted into the connector housing 11, and the extension member 30 is temporarily locked to the connector housing 11. In this state, the operating portion 33 of the extension member 30 is in a position not interfering with the flexible pressing piece 17, and the flexible pressing piece 17 does not press the bending portion 23A, so that the flexible connecting piece 23 is bent. However, the board connection terminal 25 is located inside the connector housing 11.
Furthermore, the terminal insertion opening 14 facing the board connection terminal 25
Is covered by the cover 31 of the extension member 30. Therefore, even if the board connector 10 is stored or transported in a bag or the like together with a large number of other board connectors 10, only the connector housings 11 that are relatively hard to deform need to hit each other. There is no possibility that the easily deformable board connecting terminal 25 will interfere with another connector housing 11 or the like.

When the board connector 10 is attached to the circuit board P, the extension member 30 in the temporary locking position is moved to the main locking position. Then, the operating portion 33 causes the inclined surface 17 to move.
The flexible pressing piece 17 is brought into contact with B and pushed toward the cavity 12, and the bending portion 23A is pressed by the flexible pressing piece 17 and the flexible connecting piece 23 is deformed so as to expand (expand). With this extension deformation, the bent portion 23A pushes the pressing surface 17A.
Although it moves to the back side while rubbing the top, at this time, since the pressing surface 17A inclines in the direction to the back side by changing the posture of the flexible pressing piece 17, the sliding contact of the bent portion 23A The operation, that is, the extensional deformation of the flexible connecting piece 23 is smoothly performed.

As the flexible connecting piece 23 expands and deforms in this way, the stress relaxation portion 24 and the board connecting terminal 25 move to the back side while fitting the stabilizer 26 in the guide groove 16, and the board connecting terminal 25. Are projected to the outside of the connector housing 11. Then, as shown in FIG. 2, after the tip of the board connecting terminal 25 has entered the through hole 32 of the extension member 30, the board connecting terminal 25 projects from the through hole 32 as shown in FIG. Within 32, the base end portion of the board connection terminal 25 is positioned without significant backlash. As described above, the board connection terminal 25 is ready to be inserted into the through hole H.

In this state, the board connector 10 is attached to the circuit board P. For attachment, the extension member 30 is positioned at a predetermined position on the circuit board P, and the board connection terminal 25 is inserted into the through hole H. Then, the expansion member 30 is fixed to the circuit board P by tapping screws (not shown), and the board connection terminals 25 are fixed by soldering S. As described above, the attachment to the circuit board P is completed. As described above, in the board connector 10 according to the present embodiment, the board connecting terminal 25 can be held at a position where the board connecting terminal 25 does not project from the connector housing 11 while the board connector 10 is not attached to the circuit board P. At this time, it is possible to prevent other members from interfering with the board connection terminal 25.

Further, in the present embodiment, the flexible connecting piece 23 is V-shaped, and the bent portion 23A that receives the pressing force from the extension member 30 side is provided on the lower surface of the connector housing 11 (the front surface where the receiving port 13 is open and the terminal). Since the insertion port 14 is directed to a surface different from the rear surface), when the bending member 23A is pressed by the extension member 30, the mating operation with the mating terminal fitting or the through hole of the board connection terminal 25 is performed. It is designed so that it is not affected by the insertion operation of.

Further, by providing the flexible pressing piece 17, the pressing direction with respect to the bent portion 23A is upward in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4 (direction in which the angle is substantially equal to the inclined portions on both sides of the flexible connecting piece 23). ), The flexible connecting piece 23 is different from the case where the pressing direction against the bent portion 23A is the lateral direction (the left-right direction in FIGS. 1 to 4).
The stretching deformation of is stably performed. In addition, the flexible connecting piece 23
Since the stress relieving portion 24 is provided between the circuit board P and the board connection terminal 25, the terminal body 21 and the flexible connecting piece 23 are connected to the circuit due to the fitting resistance with the mating male terminal fitting after the circuit board P is mounted. In the case where the stress is relieved to the substrate P side, the stress relaxation portion 24
Causes elastic bending and absorbs the deviation. This prevents an increase in stress in the soldering S portion between the board connection terminal 25 and the circuit board P.

Further, when the board connecting terminal 25 is projected from the connector housing 11, the board connecting terminal 25 is always aligned and adjusted by fitting the guide groove 16 and the stabilizer 26, that is, with respect to the through hole H. Since it is maintained in a state of being positioned for insertion, it is excellent in workability of attachment to the circuit board P.
Further, since the extension member 30 is temporarily locked to the connector housing 11, at the mounting site on the circuit board P,
It is only necessary to displace the extension member 30 from the temporary locking position to the regular assembly position with the extension member 30 attached to the connector housing 11, and
No need for assembly work. Therefore, workability at the installation site on the circuit board P is good.

<Second Embodiment> Next, a second preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. Embodiment 1
In contrast, while the extension member 30 is temporarily locked to the connector housing 11, the extension member 30 is preliminarily fixed to the circuit board P in the second embodiment. Extension member 3
0 is positioned and fixed so that the through hole 32 is aligned with the through hole H. In addition, the extension member 30
Since it is not necessary to temporarily lock the connector housing 11 with the connector housing 11, the connector housing 11 of the second embodiment is not provided with a component corresponding to the temporary locking portion 18 of the first embodiment. When the flexible pressing piece 17 is not attached to the circuit board P, the flexible pressing piece 17 is not bent to the side of the cavity 12 by the extension member 30, so that the flexible connecting piece 23 also remains in the non-expansion state. The connection terminal 25 is located inside the connector housing 11. Circuit board P
When assembling to the connector housing 1 in the above state
1 may be fitted into the extension member 30. Then, as in the case of the above-described first embodiment, the operating portion 3 of the extension member 30 has the inclined surface 17
The flexible pressing piece 17 is slidably brought into contact with B to push it toward the cavity 12, whereby the bending portion 23A is pressed and the flexible connecting piece 23 is expanded and deformed, and at the same time the board connecting terminal 25 projects from the connector housing 11. It penetrates through hole 32 and is inserted into through hole H. As described above, in the second embodiment, the extension member 30 is attached to the circuit board P at the installation site.
Since the assembling of the connector housing 11 to the connector housing 11 and the mounting of the connector housing 11 to the circuit board P are performed at the same time, the work efficiency is good. Since the other configurations, actions, and effects are the same as those in the first embodiment, the same configurations are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description of the structures, actions, and effects will be omitted.

The protruding position is set to be inside the lower surface of the extension member 30 in FIG. 7. When the extension member is moved from the temporary locking position shown in FIG. 7 to the regular assembly position shown in FIG. 8, the inclined pushing surface 33A of the actuating portion 33 of the extension member 30 moves laterally with respect to the bending portion 41A (see FIG. From the left-right direction), and the bent portion 41A is pushed toward the cavity 12 side by the inclination of the inclined pushing surface 33A. Then, the flexible connecting piece 41 is stretched and deformed, so that the board connection terminal 25 projects from the connector housing 11. Configurations other than the above,
Since the operation and effect are the same as those of the first embodiment, the same components are designated by the same reference numerals, and the description of the structure, operation and effect will be omitted. The temporary locking portion 18, the main locking portion 19, and the locking projection 34 are not shown.

As described above, the board connector 50 of this reference example can be kept in a state in which the board connecting terminals 64 are hidden in the cover member 70 while the board connector 50 is not attached to the circuit board P. It is possible to prevent other members from interfering with the board connection terminal 64 during transportation or transportation. In addition, the stress relaxation portion 63 is provided between the terminal body 61 and the board connection terminal 64.
Since the terminal main body 61 is displaced toward the circuit board P side due to the fitting resistance with the mating male terminal fitting 60 after mounting on the circuit board P, the stress relaxation portion 63 is elastic. It is designed to bend and absorb the deviation. As a result, an increase in stress in the soldered portion (not shown) between the board connection terminal 64 and the circuit board P is avoided.
