車両の加速度又は減速度を検出するセンサーの検出出力に基づいて車両の衝突か否かを判定し、乗員拘束具を起動するための制御信号を出力する制御回路を組み込んだ電子回路基板と、
この電子回路基板を収容し、車両への取付け部を有する樹脂ケースと、
前記電子回路基板を収容した樹脂ケースの裏面開口部を覆う裏蓋と、
前記電子回路基板の外部へのアースを行うグランド端子と、
を有し、
前記グランド端子は、プレート形状を自立的に維持できる厚みを有する金属製のプレートで形成され、
前記樹脂ケースは、車両への取付け部である角部を内側に凹ませ、
前記電子回路基板は、前記樹脂ケースの角部の前記内側に凹ませた部分に沿って角部を切欠いた形状とし、
一端部を前記樹脂ケースの取付け部の一箇所に接続した前記グランド端子の他端部を、前記電子回路基板の切欠いた部分より中央部側の電子回路基板上に設けられた接続点に接続し、かつ、
