The suction nozzle component 2 includes a suction nozzle 22
And a reflecting disk 26 behind this and the mounting protrusion 25 on the upper surface side are integrally formed, and a vacuum suction formed so as to penetrate from the tip (lower end) of the nozzle 22 to the upper end of the mounting protrusion 25. It has a hole 27. The suction nozzle 22 sucks the electronic component 5 such as a chip component or a surface-mounted IC at the lower end opening surface of the vacuum suction hole 27, and the reflection disk 26 behind the nozzle 22 is made of, for example, metal, resin, or metal. Any material may be used, such as a resin or the like that is coated for reflection, so long as it can form the reflection surface 28 (including the irregular reflection surface). The reflective disk 26 is set so as to have a required diameter such that the reflective surface 28 does not chip around the suction nozzle even for the largest electronic component 5 to be sucked. The diameter of the nozzle 22 is set to be smaller than the minimum width of the outline of the component having the outer dimensions within the suction target range. This is nozzle 2
This is for preventing the outline of the component from being erroneously recognized due to the tip 2 protruding from the outer shape of the electronic component 5. On the outer periphery of the mounting convex portion 25, a locking concave portion 24 which engages with a lower end portion of the locking lever 18 is formed, and a chamfer 29 is formed on a peripheral edge of an upper end. As a result, the suction nozzle component 2 can be attached to the lower end of the lifting shaft 14 by pushing down and fitting the lifting shaft 14 to the suction nozzle component 2, and the lifting shaft 14 can be raised with the suction nozzle component 2 held down. The engagement between the locking lever 18 and the locking recess 24 can be released to release the suction nozzle component 2. When the suction nozzle component 2 is mounted, the upper surface of the mounting projection 25 and the lower end surface of the elevating shaft 14 are in close contact with each other, and the vacuum suction path 21 and the vacuum suction hole 27 are substantially airtightly communicated.

The mounting head 1 is moved while the electronic component 5 is sucked and held on the tip end surface of the suction nozzle 22 by the vacuum suction force by the path 1 and the TV
When the suction nozzle 22 arrives at the front of the camera 4, the strobe lamp illuminates instantaneously on the incident end face side of the bundle of optical fibers 50 of the ring illumination device 3. The incident light from the strobe lamp passes through the optical fiber 50, reaches the annular irradiation end face 54 of the ring illuminator 3, and is emitted therefrom at a predetermined angle (for example, the range of light rays a and b in FIG. 2). The light emitted from the optical fiber 50 is reflected by the conical reflecting surface 41 facing the reflecting disk 26 and the reflecting surface 2 of the perforated reflecting disk 31.
Lights 8 and 32 are reflected as indicated by arrows c to d, and almost the entire area of the reflection surfaces 28 and 32 is uniformly and brightly illuminated. That is, the back of the electronic component 5 shines brightly. As a result, the TV camera 4 captures an image in which the background of the electronic component 5 is a bright portion and the outer shape of the electronic component 5 is a dark portion. Since this light irradiation is performed instantaneously (about 10 μsec) by the strobe light emission of a strobe lamp, a shutter is not required on the TV camera 4 side. For example, 60 times per second to obtain a TV image Can also be applied.

As described above, according to the mounting head with illumination of the present invention, the following effects can be obtained. (1) In the case of using a plurality of TV cameras, the conventional arrangement in which a ring illuminator is provided for each camera increases cost and requires a large space for mounting the illuminator around the camera. By providing a ring illuminator on the side, even when a plurality of cameras are used, only one illuminator is required, cost and space can be reduced, and the configuration can be simplified. (2) It is not possible to uniformly illuminate the reflection surface behind the electronic component by simply providing only the ring illuminator on the mounting head, but the ring illuminator and the reflection ring having the conical reflection surface are combined. As a result, the reflecting surface behind the suction nozzle can be uniformly and widely illuminated, and the electronic component suction posture can be reliably imaged with the background of the electronic component as a bright portion and the outline of the electronic component as a dark portion. It is possible to adopt a configuration in which light emission is used to omit the shutter on the image input device side. (3) A structure in which a suction nozzle is freely replaceable for sucking electronic components having various external shapes can also be used.
