Claims (1)
発振器から発振されたCO2 レーザビーム及びエキシマ
レーザビームを伝送してプラスチック部材あるいはFR
P部材の切断又は穴あけ加工部へ導き、初めに該切断又
は穴あけ加工部へ前記CO2 レーザのレーザビームを照
射することにより前記プラスチック部材あるいはFRP
部材の切断又は穴あけを行った後、引き続いてエキシマ
レーザのレーザビームをその切断面及びその近傍に照射
して前記切断面に生起した炭化層或いは熱影響層を除去
するレーザによる切断、穴あけ加工方法であって、 前記エキシマレーザビームをその横断面がリング状のレ
ーザビームとし、該レーザビームの中空部に前記CO 2
レーザビームを挿通して、両レーザビームの光軸を同一
にした後、前記両レーザビームを同一の伝送経路で伝送
し、プラスチック部材あるいはFRP部材の切断又は穴
あけ加工部の近傍まで導き、該近傍にて再び前記両レー
ザビームを分離することを 特徴とするレーザによる切
