<E> 1 / f fluctuations The present inventor, Toshimitsu Musha, first discovered in the world that 1 / f fluctuations give humans a special feeling of comfort, and the Journal of the Japan Society of Applied Physics, 1965, pp. 427-435. "Biometric information and 1
/ F fluctuation ", and published by the Japan Society of Precision Machinery 19
Published a paper on "Biological control and 1 / f fluctuation" in Vol. 50, No. 6, 1984, and more recently, "The idea of fluctuation" from NHK Publishing.
Has been published. These summaries are described as follows: "1 / f fluctuation is a fluctuation that gives a comfortable feeling to human beings, and the reason why the 1 / f fluctuation gives a feeling of comfort is that a fundamental rhythm fluctuation of the human body has a spectrum like 1 / f. It is derived from having.
From another perspective, humans become tired of receiving the same stimulus continuously, and on the contrary, a stimulus that changes too much is accompanied by discomfort, and the fluctuation that combines these two appropriately Is 1 / f fluctuation. " Also, in the Kodansha Bluebacks "World of Fluctuations," the rhythm phenomena exhibited by living organisms, such as the heartbeat, clapping, and the firing rhythm of nerve cells and the alpha rhythm found in brain waves, are basically 1 / f fluctuations. And
It has been empirically known that a living body can obtain a pleasant sensation when it receives as a stimulus the same type of fluctuation as the 1 / f fluctuation of such a biological rhythm. " Fluctuations (fluctuations) exist in the natural world in various ways. For example, those that give a comfortable feeling to humans, such as the babbling of a brook, natural soft wind, etc., are 1 / f
Strong winds that cause fluctuations and cause anxiety such as typhoons,
It is out of 1 / f fluctuation.

A numerical sequence of 1 / f fluctuation is generated, for example, by using a computer, in a first step, a random number sequence x is generated, and in a second step, the n coefficients a stored in the storage device are sequentially stored in the random number sequence. An arithmetic operation is performed to perform a linear transformation to obtain a numerical sequence y.
Since this numerical sequence y has a 1 / f spectrum, 1 / f
It can be used for a numerical sequence of fluctuations. In order to create a song with 1 / f fluctuations from the numerical sequence y of the 1 / f series, first,
Scale and range (lower limit frequency fL and upper limit frequency fU)
Decide. Next, the 1 / f sequence y is obtained, and the upper and lower limits are converted to first order to obtain the lower limit frequency fL and the upper limit frequency fU of the range.
So that The value of the y-sequence determined in this way is regarded as the acoustic frequency, and is replaced with the frequency of the closest scale. That is, quarter notes, for example, are sequentially allocated to or on the nearest five-line paper. FIG. 8 shows a part of the music pieces obtained by this method. The example of FIG. 9 shows a numerical sequence in which the scale from the reference note is found corresponding to the numerical values based on the music of FIG.

<G> Knitting Example (FIGS. 9 and 10) The yarn supplying section 2 adjusts the supply amount of the yarn 22 and supplies it to the knitting needle 31. A signal is supplied from the control unit 6 to the yarn supplying unit 2, and the yarn supplying motor 26 is controlled by the 1 / f fluctuation signal to generate the IRO tape 2
Rotate 4. On the other hand, the stitch motor 47 is controlled by the 1 / f fluctuation signal synchronized with the yarn feeding motor 26, and the knitting needle 3
The stitch mechanism 4 applies a vertical movement of 1 / f fluctuation. All knitting needles 3 arranged on the outer circumference of the cylinder 38
1 also moves up and down with 1 / f fluctuation. As a result, the mesh around the weft direction expands or contracts as a whole, and the density of the stitches along the warp direction has 1 / f fluctuation.

The yarn feeding speed is obtained from the numerical value sequence of 1 / f fluctuation in FIG. 9 to obtain the knitted fabric 51 having the 1 / f fluctuation feeding speed. The yarn feeding speed is expressed in mm per 100 well length. Numerical value sequence 13 corresponds to 285 mm / 100 well length, and numerical value sequence 2 corresponds to 225 mm / 100 well length. The numerical value columns 3 to 12 are obtained by proportional calculation, and the yarn feeding speed shown in FIG. 9 is obtained. One cylinder 38
The yarn feeding speed is made to correspond to each rotation, and the stitch mechanism 4 and the yarn feeding speed are synchronously controlled to give 1 / f fluctuation to the knitted fabric 51. FIG. 10 shows a knitted fabric 51 whose back structure is Uranakako, obtained by using the cotton yarn comb 30/1 in this manner.
