A method of forming a halftone dot pattern of a light guide plate according to the present invention comprises exposing a photosensitive film on a rubber sheet and a photomask having a reverse pattern of halftone dots on the photosensitive film. After performing a development process to form a halftone dot inversion pattern, an adhesive is interposed between the inversion pattern and the light guide plate to bring them into close contact with each other to form a photosensitive film of the inversion pattern on the surface of the light guide plate. By transferring and then sandblasting the photosensitive film, a halftone dot pattern is formed on the surface of the light guide plate.

1 is a side sectional view showing an embodiment of the present invention, showing a process of forming a halftone dot pattern. First, as shown in FIG. 1A, a photosensitive film 4 is brought into close contact with a rubber sheet 3, and a photomask 5 having a halftone dot reversal pattern is brought into close contact therewith. In the figure, 5a is a light transmitting portion, 5
b is a light shielding part (halftone dot part). Then, ultraviolet rays 6 are radiated from above using a high pressure mercury lamp or the like to perform exposure.

Next, as shown in FIG. 1 (c), an adhesive 8 is interposed between the above-mentioned inverted pattern and the light guide plate 1a (which may be applied to either one) to bring them into close contact with each other. Let (bond). As a result, the photosensitive film 4a of the photosensitive film 4 having the reverse pattern is transferred onto the surface of the light guide plate 1a.

After that, as shown in FIG. 1D, sandblasting treatment is performed using an abrasive 9 or the like. Then, as shown in (e) of FIG. 1, the photosensitive film 4a of the photosensitive film 4 having the transferred reverse pattern and the adhesive 8 are peeled off by using a peeling liquid. As a result, a halftone dot pattern is formed on the surface of the light guide plate 1a.

Here, when forming the above-mentioned halftone dot pattern, the rubber sheet 3 is used instead of silk printing as in the conventional case.
The photosensitive film 4 is brought into close contact with the upper surface for exposure, and halftone dots are formed by patterning by this exposure and development processing and sand blasting processing. A halftone dot pattern can be easily formed even with respect to it.

As described above, according to the present invention, a photomask having a halftone dot reversal pattern is brought into close contact with a photosensitive film provided on a rubber sheet to perform exposure. Since the formed inversion pattern is transferred to the light guide plate and the halftone dot pattern is formed by performing sandblasting, it is easy to apply not only to a flat surface but also to a light guide plate having a quadric surface or a cubic surface. There is an effect that a halftone dot pattern can be formed.
