とで、使用感が良好で皮膚のべとつき感がなく、柔軟性
が著しく高められる。またピロリドンカルボン酸ナトリ
ウム、乳酸ナトリウム等の吸湿性の大きな物質は、電解
質である。従って乳化阻害作用等の製品配合上好ましく
ない性質があり使用量、用途が制限される。ところがキ
トサンとオキシアルキレンエーテルは、PH2〜11で水に
可溶で他の成分、添加剤を阻害することがない。最近適
度な吸保湿性を持ち、使用感の良好な湿潤剤としてヒア
ルロン酸を注目されている。しかし原料が鶏冠、人のじ
ん帯等の極少天然物であり極めて高価であるためその用
途は自ら限定される。ところがキトサンのオキシアルキ
レンエーテルは。、安価なカニ、エビ等の甲らより得ら
