【考案の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本考案は、薄くて収納スペースが
小さくて済む、折畳み可能なかばん用キャスターに関す
るものである。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来、図８に示すようにかばんＫはＷ方
向に手で吊り下げながら車輪ｂ，ｂ′のみで移動させて
いるので、常に手に負担がかかる。この種のかばんは比
較的安価なもので、高価なものは自在２個、固定２個の
キャスターを具備している。価格の点で安価なかばんは
自在キャスターを取付けできない。又自在性能を持った
安価なキャスターが開発されなかったため、市場には未
だに固定キャスターだけで移動する安価なかばんしか売
られていない。
【０００３】それに従来の自在キャスターは図１０、図
１１のように取付けベース５１上を支持体５２が旋回す
ることで、車輪５３に方向性を与えていた。又自在軸５
４と、車輪軸５５の間にキャスター角５６をもっている
ため、支持体５２自体に捩れ、曲げの力Ｗが作用する
と、支持体５２は旋回し、力Ｗ′として受けるので、支
持体５２自体に力Ｗ方向の強い捩れ、曲げが加わらな
い。ゆえに支持体５２の巾５７は図示のような堅牢なも
のである必要はないが、旋回機構を持たせるために巾５
７は必要で、そのためコンパクトなキャスター設計が仲
々できなかった。

【考案が解決しようとする課題】本考案の課題は、前記
従来の欠点を除去し、安い自在キャスターを得ると共
に、従来キャスターの無かった部分に取付けるときは、
１個の自在性を持ったキャスターで十分に機能を発揮
し、そして不要時に折畳み、収納でき邪魔にならないキ
ャスターを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】本考案の手段は次の通り
である。
【０００６】車輪支持体の取付中心線を固定支持させ、
この支持体は車輪を枢支する部分と、前記取付中心線に
沿うシャフトの支持部とから折畳み可能に薄く構成さ
れ、車輪枢支部はシャフト支持部の巾の約半分で、シャ
フト支持部の巾が車輪支持部の巾に変化する稜線の方向
を示す線に対して支持体の側面に加わる外力が稜線の方
向を示す線のまわりの曲げモーメントとなり、Ｒ方向の
曲がりが車輪の軸方向の揺動量となるかばん用折畳みキ
ャスター。
【０００７】
【作用】ボタン９を押すと、クラッチ１０より係止スラ
イダー６が外れるため支持体４はコイルばね８の作用で
図４のように回ってハウジング１より突出する。約４５
°突出する。この４５°はニュートラルの状態で、ボタ
ン９を押せば常にこの状態になる。以後は手で支持体４
を押し図２使用状態にするとばね７の作用でスライダー
６を押し、クラッチ１０が噛み合いスライダー６と支持
体４とが一体化され、倒れをスライダー６が支える。
【０００８】又収納時は、同じ操作で収納状態に納め
る。
【０００９】
【実施例】図１乃至図３に示すように本考案はかばんに
固定されるハウジング１と、シャフト２によりハウジン
グ１に枢着される車輪３の支持体４と、車輪３及び支持
体４をハウジングの収容窓孔５に納めたり図４のように
突出させたりするための係止スライダー６と２つのコイ
ルばね７，８とから構成される。
【００１０】シャフト２は支持体４を遊挿し、一端に押
しボタン９を取付け、他端に前記係止スライダー６を固
定し、支持体４に形成したクラッチ１０と係止スライダ
ー６を対向させ、係止方向に作用するコイルばね７を係
止スライダー６とハウジング１の内面間に縮設する。又
他のコイルばね８は支持体４のシャフト２周りに設けて
溝１２内に納めて端部を支持体に係止してクラッチ１０
が係止スライダー６より外れているとき、支持体が図４
のようにハウジング１より突き出るようになる。以上の
実施例で示した本考案に係る折畳みキャスターは図５、
図６に示す支持体４に考案の着想が施されている。即
ち、支持体４は従来のように自在機構を全く設けず、支
持体のみの揺動作用により車輪の進行方向を変えるもの
である。
【００１１】支持体４は車輪３を枢支する部分イと取付
中心線Ｐに沿うシャフト２の支持部ロとに分け、中心線
Ｐが固定支持された状態で、使用荷重に合わせた車輪枢
支部イの巾Ｓとシャフト支持部ロの巾Ｂを決定する。巾
Ｓは巾Ｂの約１／２とし、巾Ｂが巾Ｓに変化する稜線の
方向を示す線Ｑに対して支持体４の側面に加わる外力Ｅ
が稜線を示す線Ｑまわりの曲げモーメントとなり、シャ
フト支持部ロと車輪支持部イの境界部を車輪３の外周縁
に沿う円弧状段部ハとなし、Ｒ方向の曲がりが、図１の
平面図、図２の正面図に示す車輪軸方向の揺動量α，β
の角度となり、車輪回転に方向性を持たせる結果とな
る。更に外力Ｅは図９においてＺで表わされる水平回転
荷重を加えたときに発生する。

【効果】かばん使用者が手に吊り下げ負荷を負わず容易
に移動でき、車輪支持体の揺動により自在性機能が得ら
れるので、非常に薄いキャスター製作が可能となり、収
納時には、従来の折畳みキャスターが取付いていなかっ
たと同様の感覚で使用できる。又キャスター体積を小さ
くできたことで、使用時の出っ張りを収納時に非常にコ
ンパクトに納められ、かばんとしての体積も従来のもの
と変わらなく、空港等で長距離移動の荷物としたとき、
積込みが容易である。更に商品流通を考えてもコストが
安くなり、良質のかばんを安い価格で提供できる。

  1. 【請求項１】 車輪支持体（４）の取付中心線（Ｐ）を
    固定支持させ、この支持体（４）は車輪（３）を枢支す
    る部分（イ）と、前記取付中心線に沿うシャフト（２）
    の支持部（ロ）とから折畳み可能に薄く構成され、車輪
    枢支部（イ）はシャフト支持部（ロ）の巾の約半分で、
    シャフト支持部（ロ）の巾（Ｂ）が車輪支持部（イ）の
    巾（Ｓ）に変化する稜線の方向を示す線（Ｑ）に対して
    支持体（４）の側面に加わる外力（Ｅ）が前記稜線の方
    向を示す線（Ｑ）まわりの曲げモーメントとなり、Ｒ方
    向の曲がりが車輪の軸方向の揺動量となるかばん用折畳
    みキャスター。
