Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 この発明は、熱封緘によって密封された袋や容器など
の包装体及びその製造方法に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
開口部が熱封緘された包装体に要求される性能の一つ
は、殺菌工程や運搬などの取扱い中に熱封緘部が自然に
開いて内容物が遺漏するようなことが無いことであり、
他方では、内容物を取り出す際に開封が容易に行えるこ
とである。即ち、前者の性能は、熱封緘部の剥離強度を
できるだけ大きくすること、例えば2.3kg/15mm巾以上に
することであり、後者はそれを小さくすること、例えば
1.0〜2.0kg/15mm巾にすることである。
このような相矛盾した性能を満足させるような包装体
は、現在のところ見られない。
〔発明の課題〕
上記のような性能について、さらに検討を加えてみる
と、内容物をよく保護できるということは、包装体の内
部からの剥離強度が大きいことであり、開封が容易であ
ることは、開口部の外部からの剥離強度が小であればよ
いことが分る。
この発明は、上述のような着想に基いてなされたもの
であって、その課題は開口部の内部からの剥離強度が大
で、外部からの剥離強度が小であるような熱封緘部を有
する密封包装体及びその製造方法を提供することであ
る。
〔課題の解決手段〕
上記の課題を解決するため、この発明によれば、密封
包装体の熱封緘部にその融着部と被着部を共に窪ませる
凹条を形成し、凹条の長さ方向にその外側縁と内側縁を
ほぼ滑らかな線状とし、かつ凹状の断面形状をその外側
縁から内側縁の方向に次第に深くなるようにしたのであ
る。
また、製造方法においては、ヒートシーラ熱板の上型
又は下型の印圧面に、外側縁から内側縁の方向に次第に
高くなる凸条を設け、この熱板を用いて包装体の開口部
近辺を熱封緘し、この熱封緘部の融着部と被着部を共に
窪ませる凹条を形成し、密封包装体を製造するようにし
たのである。
〔作用〕
上記のように、熱封緘部の融着部と被着部にわたる凹
条を設け、この凹条の断面形状を外側縁から内側縁の方
向に深さが大きくなるようにしたので、凸条の外側から
の剥離強度は弱く、内側からの剥離強度は強くなって、
熱封緘部の外部からは容易に開封できる一方、内部から
は容易に剥離しない。
〔実施例〕
先ず、包装体をヒートシールする熱板について説明す
る。
第1図乃至第4図に示すように、ヒートシーラ熱板の
上型10には、その印圧面11に凸条12が設けられており、
下型20の印圧面21は平坦になっている。図中、Hはヒー
タである。
上記凸条12は、その外側縁13及び内側縁14が長さ方向
にほぼ滑らかな線状をなし、かつ外側縁から内側縁の方
向に次第に高さが大きくなっている。なお、第4図
(イ)に示すように、凸状12の外側縁13から次第に高く
なり、内側縁14に近づくに従って平坦になっていてもよ
く、或は第4図(ロ)のように、外側縁13から次第に高
くなって頂点15から内側縁14にかけて高さが低くなるよ
うにしてもよい。この場合、頂点15から内側縁14までの
傾斜を外側縁13から頂点15までの傾斜よりもかなり急に
しておく。
上記凸状12は、上型或は下型のいずれに設けてもよ
く、また凸条の対応する面に、シリコンゴム等のクッシ
ョン材を設けておくことができる。
前記上型及び下型の全体形状は、図示のものに限らな
い。包装体に応じて、三角形、円形など任意に選択すれ
ばよい。そのほか、平袋、自立袋、箱などにも、前記の
熱板を用いることができ、それぞれの包装形態に適用で
きる熱板の形状を採用すればよい。
第5図以下に、上記の熱板を用いてヒートシールを行
なう一例を示す。
図示のように、容器本体30のフランジ31に蓋40を載
せ、フランジ31の下面を下型20で支持し、上型10の印圧
面11で蓋40の上面を押圧し加熱すると、凸条12の形状に
応じた凹条41が、蓋40とフランジ31にわたって、即ち融
着部と被着部にわたって形成される。この凹条41の断面
形状は、その外側縁42から内側縁43の方向に次第に深さ
が大きくなっており、凹条41の最深部から内側縁43まで
の傾斜が、外側縁42までの傾斜より急になっている。ま
た、外側縁42及び内側縁43は長さ方向に共にほぼ滑らか
な線状をなしている。なお、凹条41の形状は、包装体の
材料の復元性、保形性やヒートシール条件などによっ
て、同一の熱板を用いても必ずしも同一にはならない。
第7図に示すように、印圧面11′が平坦は上型10′と
下型20で容器本体30のフランジ31に蓋40をヒートシール
した後、凸条12を有する上型10によって再度加熱加圧し
てもよい。また、この順序を逆にしてもよい。
このようにして製造される密封包装体の材料は、ヒー
トシール可能なものであれば単体、積層体を問わず広い
範囲で選択可能である。例えば容器本体30はポリプロピ
レンの成形品、蓋40はアルミニウム箔44と接着剤層45の
積層体のごとくである。
以下、さらに詳細な実施例と比較例について述べる。
厚さ500μのポリプロピレンシートを加熱成形して、
内容積180ccの角形容器を10個作成し、厚さ50μの軟質
アルミニウム箔と厚さ35μの変形高密度ポリエチレンフ
ィルムとを熱硬化性ウレタン接着剤で貼り合せ、前記容
器のフランジに合せた形状に打ち抜いて蓋を作成した。
上記容器に水を充填し、上記蓋を載置して温度200
℃、圧力3kg/cm2、時間1秒の条件でヒートシールを行
ない密封容器を作成した。用いた熱板は、上型に巾3m
m、最大高さ2mmの傾斜凸条を有するものであった。
比較例として、同じ容器と蓋を用い、従来の平坦な印
圧面を有する熱板で同様に密封容器を10個作成した。
さらに、実施例と比較例の密封容器に温度120℃で30
分間、レトルト殺菌を施した。
これらの密封容器を手で開封したところ、いずれも容
易に開封することができた。
また、熱封緘部から巾15mm巾の試料を切り出し、容器
外部側及び内部側からの剥離強度を測定したところ、実
施例のものは、それぞれ1.2〜1.6Kg/15mm巾と、2.5〜4.
0kg/15mm巾であり、比較例のものは、いずれも0.9〜1.2
kg/15mm巾であった。
〔発明の効果〕
この発明によれば、以上のように、包装体の熱封緘部
の融着部と被着部にわたって、外側縁か内側縁の方向に
次第に深くなる凹条を形成したので、開口部の外側から
の剥離強度が弱く、内側からの剥離強度が強くなるた
め、包装体の外部からは開封が容易であり、内部からは
剥離し難いため、内容物の保護が充分行なえる。
さらに、上記のような優れた性能の密封包装体を従来
とほとんど同じ方法で製造することができるのでコスト
的な負担がかからない利点がある。

Claims (2)

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】内部に内容物を収納し開口部の一方の部材
    と他方の部材を加熱圧着することによって熱封緘した包
    装体において、この熱封緘部に一方の部材の融着部と他
    方の部材の被着部を共に窪ませた凹条を形成し、この凹
    条の断面形状を、凹条の外側縁から内側縁の方向に次第
    に深くなるようにしてこの凹条の最深部から内側縁まで
    の傾斜を外側縁までの傾斜よりも急にし、凹条の長さ方
    向に内側縁及び外側縁がほぼ滑らかな線状を画くように
    し、内側からの剥離強度を外側からの剥離強度よりも大
    にしたことを特徴とする開封容易な密封包装体。
  2. 【請求項2】包装体に内容物を収納し、この包装体の開
    口部の一方の部材と他方の部材を熱封緘して密封するこ
    とから成る密封包装体の製造方法において、前記の熱封
    緘に用いる熱板の上型又は下型の印圧面に凸条を設け、
    この凸条の長さ方向の外側縁及び内側縁をほぼ滑らかな
    線状とし、さらに凸条の断面形状を外側縁から内側縁の
    方向に高さが次第に大きくかつ凸条の頂点から内側縁ま
    での傾斜を外側縁までの傾斜よりも急にし、この熱板に
    よって熱封緘し、その熱封緘部に、前記一方の部材の融
    着部と他方の部材の被着部を共に窪ませる上記凸条に対
    応した凹条を形成して開口部の内側からの剥離強度を外
    側からの剥離強度よりも大きくすることを特徴とする開
    封容易な密封包装体の製造方法。
