Description
The present invention relates to a vehicle floor structure.
2. Description of the Related Art Vehicles such as automobiles have a passenger compartment where passengers sit in seats. Vehicles use floor panels to form the floor surface of the passenger compartment.
A side sill is provided on an outer edge of the floor panel in the vehicle width direction. The side sill extends along the front-rear direction of the vehicle.
A tunnel structure or the like is provided in the center of the floor panel in the vehicle width direction. The tunnel structure extends along the front-rear direction of the vehicle in the passenger compartment. A tunnel framework member may extend in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body next to the tunnel structure in the vehicle width direction so as to follow the tunnel structure.
The front ends of the side sills, the front end of the tunnel structure, and the front end of the tunnel framework member are commonly connected to a bulkhead or a front cross member that extends in the vehicle width direction. The bulkhead constitutes the front surface of the vehicle interior.
The rear end of the side sill, the rear end of the tunnel structure, and the rear end of the tunnel framework member are connected to a raised portion of a floor panel extending in the vehicle width direction or to a rear cross member. A rear floor panel extending further rearward may be provided on the raised portion of the floor panel.
Using such a structure, a vehicle cabin is defined in the vehicle body for passengers to ride in. For example, a section of the floor panel from the bulkhead to the rising portion constitutes the floor of the vehicle cabin as a vehicle cabin floor section.
In addition, a plurality of floor cross members extending along the vehicle width direction of the vehicle body are provided on the passenger compartment floor portion of the floor panel. Each floor cross member connects a tunnel structure or a tunnel skeleton member as a central skeleton member to a side sill. The floor cross member can also be provided so as to connect the left and right side sills provided on both sides of the vehicle body. For example, as described in
In addition, in recent vehicles, a longitudinal member may be provided under the floor panel. The longitudinal member extends along the front-rear direction of the vehicle between the side sill and the tunnel structure. A front beam is connected in front of the longitudinal member.
Here, the side sills, tunnel structure, tunnel skeleton member, bulkhead, front cross member, rear cross member, front cross member, rear cross member, and longitudinal members are skeleton members. The skeleton members are formed, for example, in a hat cross section and fixed to the floor panel by spot welding or the like, providing rigidity to the cabin of the vehicle body. An impact input to the vehicle body is transmitted to the opposite side of the input through the skeleton members and dispersed by the multiple skeleton members. This can suppress deformation of the cabin, etc.
By adopting such a floor structure, a vehicle cabin capable of absorbing impacts such as collisions is provided in the vehicle.
However, in a vehicle having such a floor structure, there is a possibility that another vehicle may collide with the side of the vehicle body.
The above-mentioned front cross-member and rear cross-member can dissipate the impact force applied from the side of the vehicle body to the tunnel structure and the tunnel framework members. The action of these framework members makes it difficult for the passenger compartment of a vehicle in a side collision to deform significantly in the vehicle width direction.
However, in a side collision, the vehicle does not necessarily hit the front surface of the vehicle. The side of the vehicle may hit a utility pole, a wall corner, a corner of another vehicle, or the like.
In this case, the input to the side of the vehicle body may be concentrated at one point, rather than being planar with a longitudinal width.
When the input is concentrated at one point, the vehicle body may deform more significantly than when a planar input is applied.
In particular, if an electric pole or other object collides with a position forward of the B-pillar or rear cross member that are erected on the side sill, the portion forward of the B-pillar or rear cross member may be significantly deformed toward the center of the vehicle width.
In this case, the floor portion forward of the rear cross member may be deformed so as to be pushed significantly toward the center in the vehicle width direction, and may be deformed so as to be compressed significantly and deeply in the vehicle width direction.
In addition, a moving vehicle may continue to move forward even after colliding with a utility pole or other object. The degree to which the vehicle continues to move forward after the collision depends on the vehicle's speed before the collision.
If the vehicle continues to move forward after a collision, the utility pole or other object will be more likely to become embedded in the vehicle body.
As a result, a vehicle that has crashed into a utility pole or similar object may be significantly deformed not only in the floor area in front of the rear cross member, but also in the floor area behind the rear cross member. The side sills and longitudinal members may be significantly bent behind the rear cross member.
If these large deformations occur in the vehicle body, the front cross member or the rear cross member may bend, and the floor panel may break at the bent part of the floor cross member or near the raised part rear of the rear cross member.
In addition, when the front cross member or rear cross member bends, the position of the seat mounted on it changes. For example, if the seat is lowered, the height of the side airbag that deploys against the seat occupant will be lower than the occupant's shoulders, even if it is deployed from the seat. This may cause airbags such as side airbags to be unable to fully protect the occupant.
In addition, the floor area behind the rear cross member is under the feet of passengers sitting in the rear row seats, so if the floor area behind the rear cross member were to be significantly deformed, it could have an adverse effect on the passengers sitting in the rear row seats.
As such, it is desirable to make it difficult for the above-mentioned deformations to occur in the floor structure of a vehicle.
A vehicle floor structure according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a side sill extending along the outer edge in the vehicle width direction of a floor panel constituting the body of the vehicle, a central frame member extending along the fore-aft direction of the vehicle body in the central portion of the vehicle width direction of the vehicle body, a first cross member extending along the vehicle width direction of the vehicle body so as to connect the side sill and the central frame member, a second cross member extending along the vehicle width direction of the vehicle body rearward of the first cross member and connecting the side sill and the central frame member, and a first reinforcing member and a second reinforcing member provided in an area surrounded by the first cross member, the side sill, the second cross member, and the central frame member. The first reinforcing member has a first triangular structure having an upper surface and a lower surface of a substantially triangle as well as side surfaces corresponding to each side of the substantially triangle, one side of the first triangular structure is provided near the first cross member so as to extend along the first cross member, and the other side of the first triangular structure is provided so as to extend along the diagonal direction from the front outer connecting portion between the side sill and the first cross member to the rear middle connecting portion between the central frame member and the second cross member, the second reinforcing member has a three-dimensional structure extending at least from the rear middle connecting portion toward the front outer connecting portion, and the first reinforcing member and the second reinforcing member are spaced apart in the diagonal direction.
In the present invention, a tunnel structure is provided in the center of the vehicle width direction of the vehicle interior floor portion of the floor panel, which constitutes the floor of the vehicle interior in which occupants sit in the vehicle, so as to protrude above the vehicle interior floor portion. A tunnel framework member is provided beside the tunnel structure, extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body along the tunnel structure. In addition, a side sill is provided on the outer edge of the floor panel in the vehicle width direction, extending along the outer edge. A front cross member and a rear cross member are provided between the tunnel framework member and the side sill, extending along the vehicle width direction of the vehicle body, thereby connecting the side sill and the central framework member. In addition, a rear cross member is provided on the rear side of the vehicle interior floor portion, extending along the vehicle width direction of the vehicle body. An end of the rear cross member is connected to the side sill.
In the present invention, a first reinforcing member and a second reinforcing member are added to the floor frame structure. The first reinforcing member and the second reinforcing member are provided in an area surrounded by the first cross member, the side sill, the second cross member, and the central frame member.
By adding such reinforcement to the floor frame structure, deformation is less likely to occur behind the first cross member even if a utility pole or the like hits the side of the vehicle body and a concentrated input is applied to the side of the vehicle body. Behind the first cross member, the first reinforcing member and the second reinforcing member are provided spaced apart in the diagonal bracing direction from the front outer connecting portion between the side sill and the first cross member toward the rear middle connecting portion between the central frame member and the second cross member. In the event of deformation behind the first cross member, the first reinforcing member and the second reinforcing member come into contact with each other, suppressing further deformation.
Furthermore, by maintaining the floor structure behind the first cross member, the floor portion in front of the first cross member is prevented from being strongly pushed toward the center in the vehicle width direction and being compressed and deformed in the vehicle width direction as a whole. Even if a utility pole or the like collides in front of the first cross member, the portion in front of the first cross member is less likely to deform significantly.
In particular, in the present invention, the first reinforcing member has a first triangular structure having an approximately triangular upper surface and lower surface, as well as side surfaces corresponding to each side of the approximately triangle. One side of the first triangular structure is provided near the first cross member so as to extend along the first cross member. This makes it difficult for the first cross member to bend, even if a large side impact input occurs that may cause the first cross member to bend. By suppressing bending of the first cross member, the floor portion forward of the first cross member is less likely to be deformed so as to be compressed overall in the vehicle width direction. The floor panel becomes more likely to break.
In addition, in the present invention, in order to reinforce the skeletal structure of the floor, a first reinforcing member and a second reinforcing member that are spaced apart from each other are used, rather than adding a long diagonal brace member that extends along the diagonal brace direction from the front outer connecting portion to the rear center connecting portion.
For example, when another vehicle or the like crashes into the side of the vehicle body in a planar manner and the side sill tries to deform by being pushed entirely toward the center in the vehicle width direction, this deformation can be prevented from being hindered.
In this way, the present invention can suppress various deformations that can occur in the floor structure of a vehicle to which no reinforcing members have been added.

As described above, in this embodiment, the
In this embodiment, a first reinforcing

In addition, in this embodiment, in order to reinforce the floor frame structure, a long diagonal brace member extending along the

The above embodiments are examples of preferred embodiments of the present invention, but the present invention is not limited to these, and can be modified as appropriate without departing from the spirit of the invention.
