Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to packaging materials, packaging containers, lids and labels.
In recent years, as a method for marking the date of manufacture, expiration date, manufacturer name, product name, serial number, etc. on the surface, it is a non-contact, high marking speed, and can be marked without being bound by the surface shape of a wide range of materials. Laser marking is popular.
Laser marking is recently attracting attention as a preferred marking method from the standpoint of hygiene and the environment because it does not require the use of ordinary ink containing a solvent because it marks directly on the material itself.
As described above, since laser marking is excellent in terms of hygiene, it is also used in packaging materials for foods, cosmetics, and the like.
However, resins such as plastic films have low sensitivity to the wavelength of general-purpose lasers, so when laser marking film packaging materials, a coloring layer containing metal oxides such as titanium oxide is formed on the plastic film. A means has been proposed (for example, Patent Document 1).
Information such as characters marked on a film packaging material by laser marking has a blackish color. For this reason, it is conceivable to increase the lightness (L * value) of the coloring layer serving as the background in order to make it easier to distinguish the marked characters and the like in the film packaging material.
However, when the lightness (L * value) of the coloring layer is increased in the film packaging material as in
The present invention has been made to solve the above technical problems, and a packaging material that can suppress conspicuous bleeding of marked characters in a film packaging material, and a packaging material using the packaging material.
[Packaging material]
The packaging material of the present invention is a packaging material having a configuration in which a plastic film, a background layer and a sealant layer are laminated in this order from the outer layer side, wherein the background layer contains titanium oxide and a binder resin, The K value based on the CMYK color model measured from the outer layer side of the packaging material is 0.100 or more and 0.175 or less.
<K値>
<K value>
The packaging material of the present invention is required to have a K value of 0.100 or more and 0.175 or less based on the CMYK color model measured from the outer layer side of the packaging material.
When the K value is less than 0.100, the blackness of the background layer is too weak, and when bleeding occurs during laser marking, it is not possible to suppress conspicuous blurring. On the other hand, if the K value exceeds 0.175, the blackness of the background layer becomes too strong, so that the contrast between the laser-marked characters and the background cannot be reduced.
The K value is preferably 0.120 or more and 0.170 or less, more preferably 0.130 or more and 0.165 or less, and even more preferably 0.140 or more and 0.160 or less.
As used herein, "K value" means a K value based on the CMYK color model. It is also assumed that the CMYK color profile uses “Japan Color 2001 Coated”.
The K value is preferably measured at an incident angle of 5°, as described in Examples below. Moreover, when the packaging material as a whole has light transmittance, it is preferable to measure the K value in a state in which white paper (white backing defined in ISO 13655) is arranged on the inner layer side of the packaging material.
<L*値>
<L * value>
The packaging material of the present invention preferably has an L * value of 80 or more and less than 90 in the CIE L * a * b * color system when the packaging material is measured from the outer layer side.
By setting the L * value to 80 or more, the contrast between laser-marked characters and the background can be easily improved. In addition, by setting the L * value to less than 90, when bleeding occurs during laser marking, it is possible to further suppress conspicuousness of the blurred portions.
The L * value is more preferably 82 or more and less than 90, and even more preferably 85 or more and 89 or less.
The L * value in the CIE L * a * b * color system is preferably measured at an incident angle of 5°, as described in Examples below. In addition, when the packaging material as a whole has light transmittance, it is preferable to measure the L * value with white paper (white backing defined in ISO 13655) placed on the inner layer side of the packaging material.
<Interlayer adhesive strength>
In the packaging material of the present invention, the interlayer adhesive strength between the base color layer and the layer in contact with the base color layer is preferably 0.5 N/15 mm or more, preferably 0.8 N/15 mm or more, and 1.0 N /15 mm or more, more preferably 1.3 N/15 mm or more, and even more preferably 1.4 N/15 mm or more.
The interlaminar adhesive strength between the ground color layer and the layer in contact with the ground color layer was measured by preparing a rectangular test piece in which the plastic film and the sealant layer were peeled off 15 mm in the long side direction, as described in Examples below. Then, grip the peeled part of the plastic film with one gripper of the measuring instrument, grip the peeled part of the sealant layer with the other gripper of the measuring instrument, and move the two grippers in opposite directions. It can be measured by pulling the
According to the measuring method, the weakest interlayer adhesion among the layers constituting the packaging material is measured. If the weakest interlayer adhesion is 0.5 N/15 mm or more, It can also be considered that the interlayer adhesive strength between the ground color layer and the layer in contact with the ground color layer is 0.5 N/15 mm or more.
Moreover, in the case of the above measuring method, any layer may undergo cohesive failure. However, for example, when the adhesive layer of the packaging material undergoes cohesive failure at a tensile stress of 0.5 N/15 mm, the interlayer adhesive strength between the ground color layer and the layer in contact with the ground color layer is 0.5 N/15 mm or more. can be regarded as Also, even if the ground color layer cohesively fails at a tensile stress of 0.5 N/15 mm, it can be considered that the interlaminar adhesive strength between the ground color layer and the layer in contact with the ground color layer is 0.5 N/15 mm or more.
By setting the interlayer adhesive strength between the base color layer and the layer in contact with the base color layer to 0.5 N/15 mm or more, bleeding during laser marking can be suppressed.
Bleeding during laser marking is caused by gaps between the ground color layer and the layer in contact with the ground color layer, or voids within the ground color layer. It is considered that this is caused by the intrusion of a coloring agent that develops color by itself with resin or heat. Therefore, by strengthening the interlayer adhesion between the ground color layer and the layer in contact with the ground color layer, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of gaps and voids that cause bleeding, so it is possible to suppress the occurrence of bleeding. .
The upper limit of the interlayer adhesive strength between the background layer and the layer in contact with the background layer is not particularly limited, but is about 4.0 N/15 mm. When the interlayer adhesive strength between the ground color layer and the layer in contact with the ground layer is set to be light, the upper limit of the interlayer adhesive strength may be set to about 2.2 N/15 mm.

The content of the binder resin in the ground color layer is preferably 10 to 90% by mass, more preferably 10 to 50% by mass, more preferably 15 to 30% by mass, of the total solid content constituting the ground color layer. It is even more preferable to have
When the ground color layer is composed of two or more layers, the content of the binder resin in each layer is preferably within the range described above.
A coloring agent may be contained in the background layer in order to enhance color development by laser marking. The coloring agent generates heat when irradiated with a laser, and has the role of coloring itself or coloring the surrounding resin (carbonizing the resin to make it black).
As the coloring agent, one or more selected from the group consisting of metals such as bismuth, antimony, copper, molybdenum, iron, zinc, tin, gold, silver, cobalt and nickel, and compounds containing these metals. can be done. Among these, one or more selected from the group consisting of metals consisting of bismuth, antimony, copper and molybdenum, and compounds containing these metals are preferable, and bismuth-based compounds and antimony-based compounds are more preferable.
Bismuth-based compounds include bismuth oxide; bismuth nitrate such as bismuth nitrate and bismuth oxynitrate; bismuth halide such as bismuth chloride; bismuth oxychloride; bismuth sulfate; Bismuth subcarbonate and the like can be mentioned. Among these, bismuth hydroxide, bismuth oxide, bismuth subcarbonate and bismuth nitrate are preferred.
Examples of antimony-based compounds include antimony oxide, and more specifically, antimony-doped tin oxide obtained by doping tin oxide with antimony oxide.
The content of the color former is preferably 0.3 to 20% by mass, more preferably 0.5 to 10% by mass, more preferably 0.7 to 5% by mass, based on the total solid content of the background layer. more preferably 0.8 to 3% by mass.
By setting the content of the coloring agent to 0.3% by mass or more, the coloring property of the background layer can be easily enhanced. In addition, by setting the content of the coloring agent to 20% by mass or less, it is possible to easily increase the interlayer adhesive strength between the base color layer and the layer in contact with the base color layer, and the K value increases due to the coloring agent. You can prevent overdoing it.
When the ground color layer is composed of two or more layers, the content of the coloring agent mentioned above means the content in each layer containing the coloring agent. For example, if the first background layer contains a color former and the second background layer does not contain a color former, the ratio of the color former to the total solids of the first and second background layers is It does not mean the content, but the content of the color former relative to the solid content of the first background layer.
The ground color layer may contain a coloring agent to adjust the color of the ground color layer.
Coloring agents contained in the background layer are general-purpose dyes and pigments (for example, inorganic pigments such as yellow lead, titanium yellow, red iron oxide, cadmium red, ultramarine, cobalt blue, titanium oxide, zinc oxide, quinacridone red, isoind Organic pigments or dyes such as linon yellow, phthalocyanine blue, etc.) can be used.
When the background color layer is formed of two or more layers, at least one of the background color layers may contain a coloring agent. A colorant is preferably contained in the color layer.
The content of the coloring agent in the ground color layer is preferably 0.1 to 50% by mass, more preferably 0.5 to 40% by mass, more preferably 0.7 to 0.7% by mass of the total solid content of the ground color layer. More preferably, it is 20% by mass.
The K value can also be adjusted by adding a black pigment such as carbon black, but when a black pigment is added, excessive heat is generated during laser marking, which may cause various problems, which is not preferable. . For this reason, it is preferred that the background layer does not substantially contain a black pigment. In the present specification, the phrase that the ground color layer does not substantially contain a black pigment means that the content of the black pigment is 0.1% by mass or less of the total solid content of the ground color layer, and is preferably is 0.01% by mass or less, more preferably 0% by mass.
The
The
In the present specification, the second ground color layer substantially does not contain a color former means that the content of the color former is 0.1% by mass or less of the total solid content of the second ground color layer. preferably 0.01% by mass or less, more preferably 0% by mass.
The thickness of the background layer is preferably 0.5 to 10.0 μm, more preferably 0.7 to 7.0 μm, even more preferably 1.0 to 5.0 μm.
By setting the thickness of the ground color layer to 0.5 μm or more, the color developability of the ground color layer can be easily enhanced. In addition, by setting the thickness of the background layer to 10.0 μm or less, it is possible to reduce the damage that the packaging material receives from the laser, and to prevent the packaging material from becoming too thick and reducing workability.
When the ground color layer is composed of two or more layers, the thickness of each layer is preferably within the range described above.
<Sealant layer>
The surface of the
Examples of materials constituting the sealant layer include polyethylene such as low density PE (LDPE), linear low density PE (LLDPE), medium density PE (MDPE) and high density PE (HDPE), ethylene-vinyl acetate polymers, vinyl chloride-based resins such as vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymers, polyolefin-based resins such as propylene homopolymers, ethylene-propylene block copolymers, and ethylene-propylene random copolymers; One or two or more of these resins can be used.
The sealant layer may be composed of a single layer or multiple layers of two or more layers. The sealant layer is a non-stretched film made of the resin described above, or a coating film obtained by applying an ink obtained by diluting the resin with a solvent and drying it, in order to suppress shrinkage during heat sealing. is preferred.
From the viewpoint of heating in a microwave oven and retort processing, the sealant layer is preferably made of a resin having excellent heat resistance in order to increase heat resistance. Specifically, propylene homopolymer, ethylene-propylene block copolymer Propylene-based resins such as coalesced, ethylene-propylene random copolymers, and HDPE are preferred.
Moreover, it is preferable to use the propylene-based resin properly according to the purpose. Specifically, ethylene-propylene block copolymers are preferred when cold resistance is emphasized (for example, packaging materials for frozen foods), and ethylene-propylene random copolymers are preferred when transparency is emphasized. Propylene homopolymer is preferable when the property is important. Further, in the case of a container equipped with an automatic vaporization mechanism, an ethylene-propylene block copolymer is preferable from the viewpoint that vapor can be easily escaped by reducing the sealing strength at high temperatures.
Moreover, when the lid of the lidded container is formed from the packaging material, the sealant layer preferably has easy peelability.
For example, when the sealant layer of the packaging material of the lid of the lidded container is bonded to the container body, the easy peel property means that the lid can be easily peeled off from the container body when the lidded container is opened. .
The sealant layer having easy peelability uses two or more resins, one resin (resin having good adhesion to the container body) and another resin (not having good adhesion to the container body). It can be formed by mixing one resin and an incompatible resin). Such a resin varies depending on the material of the container, so it cannot be generalized. By forming a sealant layer from a resin mixed with one or more selected from PE, polybutene and polystyrene, which are resins (resins that do not have good adhesion to the container body and are incompatible with the first resin), Easy peelability can be imparted to PP containers.
The sealant layer may have a multi-layer structure, and the easy peel property may be imparted only to the side of the sealant layer that is joined to the container body (the innermost layer in the packaging material).
The thickness of the sealant layer is not particularly limited, and is appropriately set depending on the use of the packaging material and the type and properties of the object to be packaged, but it is usually preferably about 10 to 200 μm. In the case of pouches (especially retort pouches), the thickness of the sealant layer is more preferably 20 to 150 μm, still more preferably 30 to 100 μm. The packaging material of the present invention may have a pattern layer.
The pattern layer can be formed, for example, between the plastic film and the background layer. Alternatively, the pattern layer can be formed so as to be parallel to the background color layer at the same position as the background color layer in the thickness direction of the packaging material. When forming the pattern layer between the plastic film and the background layer, it is preferable to form the pattern layer while avoiding the portion to be laser-marked.

The gas barrier layer plays a role of blocking permeation of oxygen, water vapor, etc. between the packaged item and the external environment. In addition, the gas barrier layer may further impart light shielding properties for blocking transmission of visible light, ultraviolet rays, and the like. The gas barrier layer may be composed of only one layer, or may be composed of two or more layers. A gas barrier layer may be formed on an intermediate substrate, which will be described later.

Specifically, in the case of forming an adhesive layer between the ground color layer and the sealant layer, if the interlayer adhesion between the ground color layer and the adhesive layer is improved, dry lamination is performed on the ground color layer side. It is preferable to apply and dry an adhesive for sealing to form an adhesive layer, and laminate a sealant layer on the adhesive layer.

As shown in FIG. 6, the heat-softening resin layer 7 is formed in a part near the edge of the
A thermosoftening resin, that is, a resin that has a predetermined strength in a temperature environment of room temperature or lower but decreases in a predetermined strength in a high temperature environment, has a melting point of 60 to 110°C, preferably a melting point of 60 to 90°C. Specific examples include ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resins, polyamide, nitrocellulose and polyethylene wax, and mixed resins of polyamide, nitrocellulose and polyethylene wax are preferred. As the resin containing polyamide, nitrocellulose, and polyethylene wax, MWOP varnish (softening point: 105° C.) manufactured by DIC Graphics Corporation can be used.
The thickness of the thermosoftening resin layer is preferably 1 to 5 μm. By setting the thickness of the thermosoftening resin layer to 1 μm or more, the thermosoftening resin layer and the sealant layer can be easily broken when heated in a microwave oven. Further, by setting the thickness of the thermosoftening resin layer to 5 μm or less, when the film-like packaging material is wound into a roll, it is possible to suppress the expansion of the packaging material due to the occurrence of swelling in a part of the packaging material.

(automatic steaming mechanism)
If the container is for a microwave oven, when the pressure inside the pouch rises due to the steam generated by cooking the contents such as food, the steam inside the storage space is automatically released to the outside to prevent the pouch from bursting. It is preferable to have an automatic vaporization mechanism for The automatic steaming mechanism is preferably formed near the periphery of the container.

A second embodiment of the automatic vaporization mechanism will be described with reference to FIGS. 6-8.

The automatic steaming mechanism of the second embodiment can also be applied to a container with a lid, which will be described later.
As the packaging material that constitutes the container having the second embodiment of the automatic steaming mechanism, it is preferable to select a resin that easily collapses as the resin that constitutes the sealant layer. Specifically, LDPE is preferred.

2. Measurement and evaluation 2-1. K value, L * value White paper (white backing specified in ISO 13655) is placed on the inner layer side (sealant layer side) of the packaging materials of Examples and Comparative Examples, and light is emitted from the outer layer side (plastic film side) at 5 , and the K value based on the CMYK color model and the L * value of the Lab color system were measured based on the specularly reflected light of the incident light. A spectrophotometer (manufactured by X-Rite, trade name: X-Rite eXact) was used as a measuring device. As for the CMYK color profile, "Japan Color 2001 Coated" was used. Table 1 shows the results.
2-2. Interlayer Adhesion Strength The interlayer adhesion strength of the packaging material was measured. As a measuring instrument, a Tensilon universal material testing machine RTC-1310 manufactured by A&D was used. Specifically, a rectangular test piece was prepared by cutting out the packaging material and separating the plastic film and the sealant layer by 15 mm in the long side direction. The width (length of the short side) of the test piece was 15 mm. After that, the already peeled portion of the plastic film was gripped with one grip of the measuring instrument, and the sealant layer was gripped with the other grip of the measuring instrument. Then, the grippers are pulled in opposite directions to each other at a speed of 50 mm/min in a direction perpendicular to the surface direction of the portion where the plastic film and the sealant layer are still laminated, and the stable region (see FIG. 9) The average value of the tensile stress at was measured. The interval S between the grips when starting to pull was set to 30 mm, and the interval S between the grips when completing the pulling was set to 60 mm. FIG. 9 is a diagram showing changes in tensile stress with respect to the distance S between grips. As shown in FIG. 9, the change in tensile stress with respect to the interval S passes through the first region and enters the second region (stable region) where the rate of change is smaller than that of the first region. The average value of the tensile stress in the stable region was calculated for five specimens. Table 1 shows the results. Table 1 also shows the state of the peeled surface visually observed.
As described above, when the average value is 0.5 N/15 mm or more, it can be considered that the interlaminar adhesive strength between the base color layer and the layer in contact with the base color layer is 0.5 N/15 mm or more.
