Description
−CONH2、−SH、及び−CONH−が含まれる。好ましいイソシアネート反応性部分含有化合物としては、ポリオール、ポリアミン、ポリメルカプタン及びポリ酸、より好ましくはポリオール、最も好ましくはポリエーテルポリオールが挙げられる。

以下の実施例は、本発明を説明するために提供されるが、それの範囲を限定することを意図しない。全ての部及び百分率は、特に明記しない限り、重量による。
プレポリマー合成:
表1は、接着剤を製造するために使用されるウレタンプレポリマーの組成を示す。プレポリマーは、2つのポリオール:2のヒドロキシル官能価の1つ及び3のヒドロキシル官能価の他のものの組み合わせを使用して、並びに両方を過剰のMDIと反応させて調製して2.33%のNCO含有量のプレポリマーをもたらした。2つのポリオールのモル比(f=2/f=3)を1.075に維持した。
接着剤を、Flacktek SpeedMixer(二軸回転ミキサー)を用いて配合した。21.97gの上記プレポリマーをMax 60ポリプロピレンカップに添加した。8.7gのElftex S7100(カーボンブラック)を次に添加し、これに5.9gのIceberg粘土が続いた。構成要素を、2500rpmで1分間Flacktek SpeedMixer内で混合した。3.32gの2−ブトキシエチルベンゾエート、0.07gのJeffcat DMDEE及び0.07gのオクタン酸ビスマスを次にカップに添加した。構成要素を2500rpmで別の2分間だけ更に混合した。接着剤を次にカートリッジに移した。0.5インチ接着剤ビーズを、2K非イソシアネートクリアコートと共に、PPG NCT X自動車ペイントシステムでコートされた金属パネル上にコーキングガンを用いてカートリッジから計量分配した。
可塑剤を2−ブトキシエチルベンゾエートからプロピルセロソルブベンゾエートに切り替えたことを除いて、実施例1について記載された方法を用いてプレポリマー及び相当する接着剤を調製した。プレポリマー及び接着剤の組成を、それぞれ,表1及び2に示す。
可塑剤を2−ブトキシエチルベンゾエートからDowanol PMベンゾエートに切り替えたことを除いて、実施例1について記載された方法を用いてプレポリマー及び相当する接着剤を調製した。プレポリマー及び接着剤の組成を、それぞれ,表1及び2に示す。
可塑剤を2−ブトキシエチルベンゾエートからジイソノニルフタレートに切り替えたことを除いて、実施例1について記載された方法を用いてプレポリマー及び相当する接着剤を調製した。プレポリマー及び接着剤の組成を、それぞれ、表1及び2に示す。
可塑剤を2−ブトキシエチルベンゾエートから大豆メチルエステル(Chempointによって販売されるSoygold 1500)に切り替えたことを除いて、実施例1について記載された方法を用いてプレポリマー及び相当する接着剤を調製した。プレポリマー及び接着剤の組成を、それぞれ、表1及び2に示す。
可塑剤を2−ブトキシエチルベンゾエートからトリメチルペンタニルジイソブチレート(Eastman Chemical Companyによって販売されるEastman TXIB)に切り替えたことを除いて、実施例1について記載された方法を用いてプレポリマー及び相当する接着剤を調製した。プレポリマー及び接着剤の組成を、それぞれ、表1及び2に示す。
粘度測定
円錐及びプレート付属品並びにスピンドル#6付きBrookfield Cap 2000+粘度計をプレポリマーの粘度のために用いた。初期プレポリマーの粘度を先ず測定した。9000〜9500cPの粘度が達成されるまで可塑剤を次にプレポリマーに添加した。この粘度に達するために必要とされる追加の可塑剤を書き留めた。追加の可塑剤入りのプレポリマーを次に最終接着剤配合のために使用した。
接着性能を、クイックナイフ試験(SAE J1720)に従って測定した。これらの接着剤を試験するために、PPG NCT X,銀を塗装基材として使用した。6.3mm(幅)×6.3mm(高さ)×100mm(長さ)のビーズの接着剤を塗装基材上に置いた。接着剤を24時間23℃及び50パーセント相対湿度の条件下で硬化させた。硬化ビーズを、次に、180°の角度でビーズの端部を引き戻しながら、45°の角度で基材までカミソリの刃でカットした。基材上で3mm毎に刻み目をカットした。接着不良を、%AF又はCFとして表される凝集破壊(CF)、すなわち、接着剤内で起こる破壊若しくは接着破損(AF)、すなわち、接着剤/ペイント接合部分で起こる破壊又は2つの組み合わせとして書き留めた。
接着剤ビーズをPPG NCT X,銀基材上に塗布し、14日間−6℃で硬化させた。クイックナイフ試験(SAE J1720)を次にこれらの接着剤ビーズに関して行った。
接着剤ビーズをPPG NCT X,銀基材上に塗布し、7日間23℃及び50パーセント相対湿度で硬化させた。パネルを次に7日間90℃水浴中に入れた。パネルを次に取り出し、紙タオルを使用して乾燥させた。クイックナイフ試験(SAE J1720)を接着剤ビーズに関して行った。
配合段階中に添加された追加の可塑剤を含むプレポリマーの粘度を表3にリストアップする。9000〜9500cPの粘度を維持するために可塑剤の量を調節した。実施例2及び3について、プレポリマー中の可塑剤量は、表3に示されるように、より低い粘度をもたらした。結果として、これらの場合には追加の可塑剤を配合段階で全く使用しなかった。
Claims (14)
- a)1種以上のイソシアネート官能性構成要素;b)1種以上のアルコキシアルキルベンゾエート;及びc)イソシアネート部分とヒドロキシル基との反応のための1種以上の触媒を含む組成物。
- 前記1種以上のアルコキシアルキルベンゾエートが、1種以上のC1〜10アルコキシ−C1〜10アルキル−ベンゾエートエステルを含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記1種以上のアルコキシアルキルベンゾエートが、1種以上のC1〜4アルコキシ−C1〜4アルキル−ベンゾエートエステルを含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 1種以上のカーボンブラックを更に含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記1種以上のアルコキシアルキルベンゾエートが、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- a)前記1種以上のイソシアネート官能性構成要素が、約20〜約60重量パーセントの量で存在し;b)前記1種以上のアルコキシアルキルベンゾエートが、約5〜約40重量パーセントの量で存在し;c)イソシアネート部分とヒドロキシル基との前記反応のための1種以上の触媒が、約0.005〜約2重量パーセントの量で存在し;及びd)1種以上のカーボンブラックが、約10〜約35重量部の量で存在し;百分率が前記組成物の重量を基準とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、23℃で固体である1種以上のイソシアネート官能性ポリエステル系プレポリマーを更に含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、約3以上の名目官能価を有する1種以上のポリイソシアネートを更に含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 2種以上の基材の接合方法であって、前記2種以上の基材を一緒に、前記基材が接触しているエリアの少なくとも一部に沿って配置された請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の組成物と接触させる工程を含む方法。
- 前記基材の少なくとも1つが窓ガラスである、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 他の基材の少なくとも1つが建物又は車両である、請求項9又は10に記載の方法。
- 前記基材が車両である、請求項9〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 車両の窓の交換方法であって、i)前記窓を前記車両から取り外す工程と;ii)請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を、交換窓に又は前記窓を前記車両へ保持するように適合させられた前記車両のフランジに塗布する工程と;iii)前記車両の前記フランジ及び前記交換窓を、前記交換窓と前記車両の前記フランジとの間に配置された前記組成物と接触させる工程と;iv)接着剤を硬化させる工程とを含む方法。
- 前記車両が、前記車両への前記窓の設置から60分後に安全に運転することができる、請求項13に記載の方法。
