Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to ducts installed in vehicles.
The vehicle has an oil cooler duct placed between the opening provided in the front grille and bumper on the front edge of the vehicle and the oil cooler installed inside, and the air taken in from the opening during running is taken in by the oil cooler. Some lead to an oil cooler via a duct (see, for example, Patent Document 1). As a result, the oil cooler exchanges heat with air to cool equipment such as a transmission.
The oil cooler duct is designed to have rigidity so that it will not be damaged or generate abnormal noise due to vibration during running. However, in vehicles, measures are required for oil cooler ducts to reduce the impact on people as much as possible in the unlikely event of a collision with people.
The present invention has been proposed in view of the above-mentioned problems related to the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a duct capable of achieving both rigidity and pedestrian safety performance.
In order to overcome the above-mentioned problems and achieve the intended purpose, the duct according to the present invention is used.
A duct installed in a vehicle equipped with walls that form each surface of an air flow passage that guides air from an air intake port to an air outlet.
A slit provided in the wall portion at a position close to or at the corner portion connected to the wall portion adjacent to the wall portion, penetrates the wall portion, and extends in a direction along the air flow direction of the air flow passage. Have and
It is a gist that the slit is formed so that one end is arranged close to the edge of the wall portion and the opening edge on the one end side is closed.
According to the duct according to the present invention, both rigidity and pedestrian protection performance can be achieved at the same time.
Next, the duct according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings with reference to suitable examples.
The
As shown in FIG. 1, the
As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the
For example, the
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the
As shown in FIG. 1, in the
As shown in FIG. 1, the
It is preferable to attach a sealing material (not shown) to the
The
The
The
In the
The ducts of Test Examples 1 to 5 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 having the same shape as those of the examples were prepared, and the difference due to the presence or absence of the slit and the position was evaluated. The size of the slit is set to 5 mm in width and 60 mm in length. The plate thickness of the wall portion is set to 2.0 mm.
-Test Example 1: This is a case where the slit is provided in the center of the corner.
-Test Example 2: A case where a slit is provided at a portion of the wall portion connected to a corner portion.
Test Example 3: This is a case where the slit is provided at a
Test Example 4: This is a case where the slit is provided at a
Test Example 5: A case where the slit is provided at a
-Comparative example 1: This is a case where a fragile shape such as a slit is not provided.
-Comparative example 2: This is a case where the plate thickness at the center of the corner is reduced to 0.5 mm instead of the slit. The shape of the thinned portion is the same as that of Test Example 1.
The analysis was performed according to the leg impactor test. The rigid body setting impactor weighs 9.5 kg and is under the condition of colliding from the front side of the duct at a speed of 40.7 km / h in a posture tilted forward by 1.38 °. The analysis result is shown in FIG.
Part X in FIG. 9 is a region related to rigidity at the initial stage of collision. The Y portion in FIG. 9 is a region related to the rigidity when the duct deformation after the collision progresses. As shown in FIG. 9, in Test Examples 1 to 5 provided with the through slit, the reaction force in the Y portion is lower than that in Comparative Example 1 which is not fragile and Comparative Example 2 which is thinned. That is, it can be seen that Test Examples 1 to 5 are more easily deformed at the time of collision than Comparative Examples, and are superior in pedestrian protection performance. Here, in Test Example 2 in which the slit is arranged at a position connected to the corner portion in the wall portion, the reaction force in the Y portion is smaller than in Test Example 1 in which the slit is arranged in the center of the corner portion, and the corner portion in the wall portion. It can be seen that the reaction force in the Y portion increases as the distance from the position connected to is increased. Further, in Test Example 2 in which the slit is arranged at a position connected to the corner portion in the wall portion, the reaction force is larger in the X portion than in Test Example 1 in which the slit is arranged in the center of the corner portion, and the corner portion in the wall portion. It can be seen that the reaction force in the X portion increases as the distance from the position connected to is increased. That is, it can be seen that the rigidity at the initial stage of the collision can be ensured by arranging the slits offset from the corners rather than arranging them at the corners.
