Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a carbon dioxide occlusion-reducing catalyst and a methane production method.
Conventionally, a carbon dioxide occlusion-reduction catalyst that occludes carbon dioxide and produces methane by reacting the occluded carbon dioxide with hydrogen has been known. For example,
However, in the carbon dioxide storage reduction type catalyst described in
An object of the present invention is to provide a technique for reducing the amount of a methaneization catalyst used in a carbon dioxide storage reduction catalyst that produces methane from carbon dioxide and hydrogen.
The present invention has been made to solve at least a part of the above-mentioned problems, and can be realized as the following forms.
(1) According to one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a carbon dioxide occlusal reduction type catalyst used for producing methane from carbon dioxide and hydrogen. This carbon dioxide occlusion-reduction type catalyst contains magnesium, a powder of a carbon dioxide occlusion material that stores carbon dioxide, and a powder of a methaneization catalyst that produces methane by a catalytic reaction from carbon dioxide and hydrogen. The powder of the carbon dioxide storage material and the powder of the methanation catalyst are contained in the container in a mixed state.
According to this configuration, the powder of the carbon dioxide storage material containing magnesium, which has a higher electronegativity than calcium, and the powder of the methanation catalyst are contained in the container in a mixed state. As a result, the carbon dioxide storage material and the methanation catalyst are kept at an appropriate distance in the accommodation body, so that the contact area between the carbon dioxide storage material and the methanation catalyst becomes small. When the contact area between the carbon dioxide storage material and the methanation catalyst becomes small, the oxidation of the methanation catalyst due to the interaction with the carbon dioxide storage material is suppressed. Therefore, since the inactivation of the methanation catalyst due to oxidation is suppressed, a desired amount of methane can be produced with a relatively small amount of the methanation catalyst.
(2) In the carbon dioxide storage reduction type catalyst of the above form, the carbon dioxide storage material may contain magnesium oxide and an alkali metal compound. According to this configuration, carbon dioxide is easily supplied to magnesium oxide via an alkali metal compound having a relatively low melting point, so that carbonation of magnesium oxide contained in the carbon dioxide storage material can be promoted. As a result, the carbon dioxide storage amount of the carbon dioxide storage material can be increased.
(3) In the carbon dioxide storage reduction type catalyst of the above form, the carbon dioxide storage material may contain nickel. According to this configuration, nickel can serve as a reduction site for carbon dioxide in direct contact with magnesium oxide, so that the decarboxylation reaction of magnesium oxide can be promoted and the amount of methane produced can be increased.
(4) In the carbon dioxide storage reduction type catalyst of the above form, the powder of the carbon dioxide storage material and the powder of the methanation catalyst may be molded into pellets, respectively. According to this configuration, the pellet-shaped carbon dioxide storage material and the pellet-shaped methaneization catalyst maintain an appropriate positional relationship to suppress the oxidation of the methaneization catalyst by the carbon dioxide storage material, and the methaneization catalyst. The heat generated by the methanation reaction in is transferred to the carbon dioxide occlusion material. As a result, the decarboxylation reaction of the carbon dioxide storage material can be promoted while suppressing the inactivation of the methanation catalyst. Therefore, a relatively small amount of methanation catalyst can be used to produce the desired amount of methane.
(5) According to another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a method for producing methane that produces methane from carbon dioxide and hydrogen. In this methane production method, a first step of bringing an exhaust gas containing carbon dioxide into contact with the carbon dioxide storage reduction catalyst of the above-mentioned form, and after the first step, the carbon dioxide storage method in which carbon dioxide is stored. The reduction catalyst is provided with a second step of bringing hydrogen into contact and producing methane by a catalytic reaction. According to this configuration, when the carbon dioxide storage material recovers carbon dioxide from the exhaust gas in the first step, it is possible to suppress the oxidation of the methanation catalyst by the oxygen contained in the exhaust gas. As a result, the inactivation of the methanation catalyst can be suppressed, so that a desired amount of methane can be produced in the second step. Therefore, a desired amount of methane can be produced with a small amount of methanation catalyst.
The present invention can be realized in various aspects, for example, a methane production apparatus, a control method for the methane production apparatus, a control method for the methane production apparatus, a computer program for causing a computer to execute these control methods, and the like. It can be realized in the form of a manufacturing method of a methane manufacturing device, a fuel manufacturing device using methane as a fuel, or the like.

In the present embodiment, there are a CO 2 occlusion step of storing CO 2 in a CO 2 occlusion material, a He purge step (first time), an H 2 reduction step of generating CH 4 , and a He purge step (second time). The flow was set to one cycle, and the CO 2 occlusion amount, the O 2 consumption amount, and the CH 4 production amount in the second cycle were calculated by the following formulas (1) to (3).
CO 2 storage amount = CO in the CO 2 supply amount -CO 2 when occluding 2 unreacted amount (1)
O 2 consumption = O in O 2 supply amount -O 2 during storage 2 unreacted amount (2)
CH 4 production amount = CH 4 production amount ... when H 2 reduction (3)
Sample 4 is a catalyst in which Ru / TiO 2 is added to K / MgO of Sample 3. In sample 4, by adding Ru / TiO 2 , CO 2 occluded by K / MgO can be converted to CH 4 . Further, in the sample 4, O 2 consumption while reducing to less than 1% of the
As a result of comparing the difference in performance depending on the arrangement state of the K / MgO powder and the Ru / TiO 2 powder using the pellet arrangement sample 4, the
サンプル8は、サンプル7のK/MgNiAlOxにRu/TiO2を加えた触媒である。
Sample 8 is a catalyst in which Ru / TiO 2 is added to K / MgNiAlOx of
Further, as in the case of Samples 4 to 6, when the difference in performance depending on the arrangement state of the powder of K / MgNiAlOx and the powder of Ru / TiO 2 is compared using Samples 8 to 10, K / as a CO 2 occlusion material In the samples 8 to 10 using MgNiAlOx, both the CO 2 occlusion amount and the CH 4 production amount were increased in the pellet arrangement as compared with the tandem arrangement and the uniform arrangement.
According to the carbon dioxide storage-
Further, according to the carbon dioxide storage
Further, according to the carbon dioxide
Further, according to the carbon dioxide storage /
FIG. 6 is an explanatory diagram for explaining the decomposition temperature of carbonate. FIG. 6 shows the decomposition temperature of magnesium carbonate, which is a CO 2 storage material of the present embodiment, and the decomposition temperature of calcium carbonate, which is a CO 2 storage material, as a comparative example. As shown in FIG. 6, the decomposition temperature of calcium carbonate is 800 ° C. or higher. At this temperature, the methanation reaction in the methanation catalyst does not proceed easily, so even if calcium carbonate releases CO 2 , it is not effectively used for the production of CH 4 . On the other hand, since the decomposition temperature of magnesium carbonate is around 300 ° C., the methanation reaction in the methanation catalyst is likely to proceed. As a result, the CO 2 released by magnesium carbonate can be effectively used for the production of CH 4 .
Further, according to the carbon dioxide storage /
Further, according to the carbon dioxide storage /
Further, according to the carbon dioxide
On the other hand, in the tandem arrangement (see FIG. 3B), since the CO 2 occlusion material and the methanation catalyst are separated from each other, the effect of promoting the decomposition of MgCO 3 as in the pellet arrangement cannot be obtained. For this reason, the oxidation reaction of the methanation catalyst by the CO 2 occlusion material is difficult to proceed, but the methanation reaction is also difficult to proceed (“methaneation reaction ×” and “methaneation catalyst” shown in FIG. 3 (b). 〇 "). Further, in the uniform arrangement (see FIG. 3C), the CO 2 storage material and the methanation catalyst are too close to each other, so that the contact between K of the CO 2 storage material and Ru of Ru / TiO 2 is enhanced and Ru is easily oxidized. Become. Therefore, the methanation reaction easily proceeds, but the activity of the methanation catalyst for the methanation reaction decreases (“methaneation reaction 〇” and “methaneation catalyst ×” shown in FIG. 3 (c)). As described above, the pellet arrangement in which the
