Description

The present invention relates to a connection structure between the grill and the cover member.

Generally, a radiator is arranged inside the engine room, and a grill that prevents foreign matter from entering and forms an impression of the appearance of the vehicle is arranged in front of the radiator. Normally, the upper wall of the grill is located below the hood that opens and closes the engine compartment, and is hidden by the hood when the hood is closed. A cover member that covers and hides a part of the engine room may be connected to the upper wall portion of such a grill even when the hood is opened. Such a cover member and the upper wall portion of the grill are connected by being fastened by a fastening member.

Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 62-30961

By the way, in order to open and close the hood, a slight gap is provided at the front end of the closed hood. Since rainwater or the like enters the engine room through this gap, the cover member is generally provided with a through hole for draining the liquid downward. However, if a through hole is formed in the cover member, the through hole will be noticed by the user when the hood is opened, and the design will be impaired. Further, there is a concern that the strength of the cover member may be reduced due to the through hole. Therefore, it is desired to have a configuration in which the liquid flowing from the front end of the hood onto the cover member can be discharged below the cover member without providing a through hole for drainage in the cover member.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and provides a connection structure between a grill and a cover member capable of guiding a liquid below the cover member without providing a through hole for drainage in the cover member. With the goal.

The present invention adopts the following configuration as a means for solving the above problems.

The first invention is a structure for connecting a grill for a vehicle and a cover member fastened to the grill, and an edge portion of the cover member is formed on a part of an upper wall portion of the grill in a plan view from above. The grill and the cover member are fastened in contact with each other at a part of the overlapping region between the upper wall portion of the grill and the edge portion of the cover member in a plan view. Drainage from the tip end portion of the cover member to the tip end portion of the upper wall portion in a plan view on the upper surface of the upper wall portion or the lower surface of the cover member while avoiding the area where the grill and the cover member are in contact with each other. Adopt a configuration in which a groove is provided.

The second invention adopts the configuration in which the drainage groove is provided in the upper wall portion of the grill by being recessed downward in the first invention.

In the third invention, in the second invention, the upper wall portion has a lower surface recess provided below the region in contact with the cover member.

According to the fourth invention, in the second or third invention, the bottom surface of the drainage groove is inclined so as to descend from the tip end portion of the cover member toward the tip end portion of the upper wall portion. Adopt the configuration.

The fifth invention is the narrow flow path from the tip end portion of the cover member to the tip end portion of the upper wall portion in a plan view, which is smaller in width than the drainage groove in any one of the first to fourth inventions. Is provided on the bottom surface of the drainage ditch.

According to the sixth aspect of the invention, in any one of the first to fifth inventions, in a plan view, a plurality of regions where the grill and the cover member are in contact with each other and a plurality of drainage grooves are alternately provided. Adopt the configuration.

According to the present invention, the edge portion of the cover member is arranged so as to overlap the upper wall portion of the grill from above, and the upper surface of the upper wall portion or the lower surface of the cover member is viewed from the tip end portion of the cover member to the upper wall. A drainage groove leading to the tip of the portion is provided. Therefore, drainage can be performed from the boundary portion between the upper wall portion of the grill and the cover member, and the liquid can be guided below the cover member without providing a through hole in the cover member.

It is a front enlarged perspective view of the vehicle which connected the radiator grille and a cover member by using the connection structure of a grille and a cover member in one Embodiment of this invention. (A) is an enlarged plan view of the connection portion between the upper wall portion of the radiator grill and the cover member, and (b) is a sectional view taken along the line AA of (a). FIG. 2B is a cross-sectional view taken along the line BB of FIG. 2A. FIG. 2C is a sectional view taken along the line CC of FIG. 2A. It is a schematic cross-sectional view in the modification of the connection structure of a grill and a cover member in one Embodiment of this invention.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of a connection structure between the grill for a vehicle and a cover member according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 shows an enlarged front view of a vehicle in which the radiator grill 2 (grill) and the cover member 3 are connected by using the connection structure between the grill and the cover member of the present embodiment (hereinafter, simply referred to as the connection structure 1). It is a figure.

The radiator grill 2 is provided in the central portion of the front surface of the vehicle, and is arranged in front of the radiator provided inside the engine room. The radiator grill 2 is, for example, a member in which the surface of a resin substrate is plated, and is fixed to a vehicle body frame (not shown). Further, the radiator grill 2 is arranged below the front edge of the hood H that opens and closes the engine room, and the design portion 2a that can be visually recognized from the outside and the hood H are closed when the hood H is closed. It has a part that is not visible from the outside in the state of being in the state. In the present embodiment, the radiator grill 2 extends from the back surface of the design portion 2a toward the rear of the vehicle as a portion that is not visible from the outside when the hood H is closed, and the hood H is closed from the outside. It has an upper wall portion 2b arranged at the uppermost part of the invisible portions.

また、図2(b)は、図2(a)のA−A断面図である。 The upper wall portion 2b is provided so as to extend in the vehicle width direction, and is a portion to which the cover member 3 is connected. FIG. 2A is an enlarged plan view of the connection portion between the upper wall portion 2b and the cover member 3. 2 (b) is a cross-sectional view taken along the line AA of FIG. 2 (a). As shown in these figures, the upper wall portion 2b has drainage portions 2c and cover fastening portions 2d which are alternately arranged in the vehicle width direction.

The drainage portion 2c is a portion provided with a drainage groove 2e recessed downward. The drainage groove 2e is provided from the end portion of the upper wall portion 2b on the design portion 2a side to the end portion (tip portion 2b1) at the rear of the vehicle, and the liquid X such as rainwater is provided from the front of the vehicle to the rear of the vehicle. A flow path is formed. The tip portion 2b1 of the upper wall portion 2b is directed to the rear of the vehicle, and is arranged at a position that does not affect the equipment or the like below even if the liquid X falls downward. That is, the liquid X discharged from the drainage ditch 2e is dropped to a position that does not affect other equipment of the vehicle.

Further, FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line BB of FIG. 2A. As shown in FIG. 3, the bottom surface 2e1 of the drainage groove 2e is inclined so as to descend from the front end of the upper wall portion 2b toward the tip portion 2b1. In the present embodiment, as will be described later, the edge portion of the cover member 3 is arranged so as to overlap the upper wall portion 2b, and the tip portion 3b of the cover member 3 is arranged on the upper wall portion 2b in a plan view. It is arranged on the front side (design portion 2a side) of the vehicle from the tip portion 2b1 of 2b. Therefore, the bottom surface 2e1 of the drainage groove 2e is inclined so as to descend from the tip portion 3b of the cover member 3 toward the tip portion 2b1 of the upper wall portion 2b. Therefore, the liquid X that has flowed into the drainage groove 2e is guided by gravity toward the discharge end of the drainage groove 2e (the tip end portion 2b1 of the upper wall portion 2b) along the inclination of the bottom surface 2e1.

FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along the line CC of FIG. 2 (a). The cover fastening portion 2d has an upper surface having the same height as the upper end of the drainage groove 2e, and as shown in FIG. 4, this upper surface is a portion that comes into contact with the lower surface of the cover member 3. A screw hole 2d1 that penetrates vertically is formed in the cover fastening portion 2d. By screwing the screw 4 into the screw hole 2d1, the cover fastening portion 2d (that is, the radiator grill 2) is fastened to the cover member 3.

The cover fastening portion 2d is a region where the radiator grill 2 and the cover member 3 are in contact with each other. Further, the drainage groove 2e is formed in a region (overlapping region) where the radiator grill 2 and the cover member 3 are overlapped in a plan view, avoiding the cover fastening portion 2d. That is, in the present embodiment, the drainage groove 2e is provided so as to avoid the region where the radiator grill 2 and the cover member 3 are in contact with each other in the superposed region.

Further, below the cover fastening portion 2d, a lower surface recess 2f is provided that is recessed upward. That is, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2B, the lower surface recess 2f and the drainage groove 2e are arranged side by side in the vehicle width direction. By providing a plurality of such lower surface recesses 2f and drainage grooves 2e alternately in the vehicle width direction, the upper wall portion 2b of the radiator grill 2 has a corrugated shape when viewed from the front-rear direction of the vehicle. Such an upper wall portion 2b has the same or substantially the same thickness dimension in the drainage portion 2c and the cover fastening portion 2d when viewed from the front-rear direction of the vehicle.

The cover member 3 is arranged so as to cover the area on the front side of the engine room, and is a member that is covered from above by the hood H in a state where the hood H is closed. The front edge of the cover member 3 is connected to the upper wall 2b of the radiator grill 2. The cover member 3 is provided with a screw insertion hole 3a that penetrates vertically in accordance with the position of the cover fastening portion 2d of the upper wall portion 2b of the radiator grill 2. The screw insertion hole 3a is provided at a position overlapping the screw hole 2d1 provided in the cover fastening portion 2d in a plan view. As shown in FIG. 4, the cover member 3 is superposed on the upper wall portion 2b, and the screw 4 is screwed into the screw hole 2d1 with the screw insertion hole 3a inserted, whereby the upper wall portion 2b (that is, that is, The radiator grill 2) and the cover member 3 are fastened.

Further, the end portion (tip portion 3b) of the cover member 3 on the vehicle front side is separated from the design portion 2a of the radiator grill 2, and the vehicle front-rear direction is between the cover member 3 and the design portion 2a of the radiator grill 2. There is a gap in the space. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2A and the like, the region (partial region) of the drainage groove 2e on the design portion 2a side is not covered by the cover member 3. In the present embodiment, the edge portion of such a cover member 3 has a smooth flat surface with no unevenness on the upper surface and the lower surface.

According to the connection structure 1 of the present embodiment, for example, the liquid X that has fallen from the front end of the hood H is drained from the gap between the tip portion 3b of the cover member 3 and the design portion 2a, as shown in FIG. It flows into 2e, is guided by the drainage groove 2e, flows below the cover member 3, and is drained from the tip portion 2b1 of the upper wall portion 2b. That is, in the present embodiment, the liquid X is drained from the boundary portion in the vertical direction between the upper wall portion 2b of the radiator grill 2 and the cover member 3.

In the connection structure 1 of the present embodiment as described above, the edge portion of the cover member 3 is arranged so as to overlap a part of the upper wall portion 2b of the radiator grill 2 from above in a plan view, and the radiator grill 2 in a plan view. The radiator grill 2 and the cover member 3 are fastened in contact with each other at a part of the overlapping region between the upper wall portion 2b and the edge portion of the cover member 3, and the radiator grill 2 and the cover member 3 are engaged in the overlapping region. A drainage groove 2e from the tip portion 3b of the cover member 3 to the tip portion 2b1 of the upper wall portion 2b is provided on the upper surface of the upper wall portion 2b while avoiding the contacted region.

According to the connection structure 1 of the present embodiment as described above, the edge portion of the cover member 3 is arranged so as to overlap the upper wall portion 2b of the radiator grill 2 from above, and is arranged on the upper surface of the upper wall portion 2b in a plan view. A drainage groove 2e is provided from the tip portion 3b of the cover member 3 to the tip portion 2b1 of the upper wall portion 2b. Therefore, drainage is possible from the boundary portion between the upper wall portion 2b of the radiator grill 2 and the cover member 3, and the liquid X is guided below the cover member 3 without providing a through hole for drainage in the cover member 3. be able to.

Further, in the connection structure 1 of the present embodiment, a drainage groove 2e is provided in the upper wall portion 2b of the radiator grill 2 by being recessed downward. According to the connection structure 1 of the present embodiment, drainage is possible by forming a groove in the upper wall portion 2b of the radiator grill 2, so that a groove for drainage is formed in the cover member 3. There is no need. Therefore, when the cover member 3 is intended to have an unusual thickness, it is not necessary to provide unevenness on the upper surface of the cover member 3. Therefore, according to the connection structure 1 of the present embodiment, the cover member 3 having a uniform thickness and a flat upper surface can be formed. By forming the cover member 3 having a flat upper surface in this way, the appearance impression of the cover member 3 that can be visually recognized when the hood H is opened is improved, and maintenance work such as cleaning on the cover member 3 is facilitated. Become.

Further, in the connection structure 1 of the present embodiment, the upper wall portion 2b has a lower surface recess 2f provided so as to be recessed upward below the region in contact with the cover member 3. Therefore, according to the connection structure 1 of the present embodiment, the upper wall portion 2b of the radiator grill 2 has a wavy shape when viewed from the front-rear direction of the vehicle, and the thickness dimension is the drainage portion 2c and the cover fastening portion 2d. It is the same or almost the same. Therefore, when the cover member 3 is formed by injection molding, it is possible to prevent the cover member 3 from being unintentionally deformed due to sink marks or the like during cooling.

Further, in the connection structure 1 of the present embodiment, the bottom surface 2e1 of the drainage groove 2e is inclined so as to descend from the tip portion 3b of the cover member 3 toward the tip portion 2b1 of the upper wall portion 2b. Therefore, according to the connection structure 1 of the present embodiment, the liquid X that has flowed into the drainage groove 2e can be reliably discharged from the drainage groove 2e. Further, it is possible to prevent the liquid X that has flowed into the drainage groove 2e from flowing back.

Further, in the connection structure 1 of the present embodiment, a plurality of regions where the radiator grill 2 and the cover member 3 are in contact with each other and a plurality of drainage grooves 2e are provided alternately in a plan view. That is, according to the connection structure 1 of the present embodiment, a plurality of drainage grooves 2e are provided so as to be arranged in the vehicle width direction. Therefore, the liquid X can be drained smoothly.

Although the preferred embodiment of the present invention has been described above with reference to the accompanying drawings, it goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. The various shapes and combinations of the constituent members shown in the above-described embodiment are examples, and can be variously changed based on design requirements and the like without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

For example, in the above embodiment, the configuration of forming the drainage groove 2e in the upper wall portion 2b of the radiator grill 2 has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, it is possible to adopt a configuration in which a drainage groove is provided on the lower surface of the cover member 3. Alternatively, it is also possible to adopt a configuration in which the drainage groove 2e is provided in both the upper wall portion 2b of the radiator grill 2 and the cover member 3.

Further, in the above-described embodiment, the configuration in which the upper wall portion 2b has a wavy shape by having the lower surface recess 2f has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and it is also possible to adopt a configuration in which the lower surface recess 2f is not provided.

Further, in the above embodiment, the configuration in which the bottom surface 2e1 of the drainage groove 2e is inclined has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and it is also possible to adopt a configuration in which the bottom surface 2e1 is a horizontal plane.

FIG. 5 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a modified example of the connection structure 1 of the above embodiment. As shown in this figure, a narrow flow path 2g having a width smaller than that of the drainage groove 2e may be provided on the bottom surface 2e1 of the drainage groove 2e. The narrow flow path 2g is provided in a range from at least the tip portion 3b of the cover member 3 to the tip portion 2b1 of the upper wall portion 2b in a plan view. By providing such a narrow flow path 2g, even if the drainage groove 2e is blocked by a foreign substance such as fallen leaves, drainage can be performed through the narrow flow path 2g.
