Abstract
Description
図1〜図6を参照して、第1実施形態による液晶表示装置100の構成について説明する。なお、本明細書では、液晶表示装置100の前面側および背面側を、それぞれ、Y1方向側およびY2方向側として説明する。また、液晶表示装置100を前面側から見て、左側および右側を、それぞれ、X1方向側およびX2方向側として説明する。また、液晶表示装置100の上方側および下方側を、それぞれ、Z1方向側およびZ2方向側として説明する。なお、液晶表示装置100は、特許請求の範囲の「表示装置」の一例である。
図1に示すように、液晶表示装置100は、液晶パネル1を備える。液晶パネル1は、略長方形形状を有している。また、液晶表示装置100には、液晶パネル1が前面に配置される筐体2を備える。筐体2は、液晶パネル1を収容するフロントキャビネット2a、および、フロントキャビネット2aの背面側(Y2方向側)に設けられるリアキャビネット2bとを含む。なお、液晶パネル1は、特許請求の範囲の「表示パネル」の一例である。
次に、図7(A)および図7(B)を参照して、反射板5の反射率を変化させた場合の実験結果について説明する。なお、この実験では、拡散板4は設けられていない。
第1実施形態では、以下のような効果を得ることができる。
次に、図1および図12を参照して、第2実施形態について説明する。この第2実施形態では、拡散板4が単一の材質により形成されている上記第1実施形態の構成とは異なり、拡散板14が複数の材質により形成されている。なお、上記第1実施形態と同一の構成については、図中において同じ符号を付して図示し、その説明を省略する。
第2実施形態では、以下のような効果を得ることができる。
次に、図1、図13、および、図14を参照して、第3実施形態について説明する。この第3実施形態では、透明部分14bが設けられている上記第2実施形態の構成とは異なり、透明部分14bが設けられていない。なお、上記第2実施形態と同一の構成については、図中において同じ符号を付して図示し、その説明を省略する。
第3実施形態では、以下のような効果を得ることができる。

- 表示パネルと、
前記表示パネルが前面に配置される筐体と、
前記筐体の内側面部に配置され、光源および前記光源を覆う光学レンズを含む光源部と、
前記光源部と前記表示パネルとの間に設けられ、前記光源部から照射される光の強度を減衰して表示パネル側に通過させる減衰部と、
前記減衰部を通過した光を前記表示パネル側に反射させる反射部と、を備える、表示装置。 - 前記反射部は、少なくとも一部が前記表示パネルの表示領域よりも外周側に設けられている、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記反射部は、略平板形状を有しているとともに、前記表示パネルの垂線に対して前記表示パネル側に傾斜している、請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記反射部は、前記反射部の前記表示パネル側の端部が、前記表示パネルの表示領域の近傍に位置するように設けられている、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記光学レンズには、前記表示パネルに対して局所的に光を出射する集中部が形成されており、
前記減衰部は、前記集中部から前記表示パネルへ出射される光を遮るように設けられている、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記集中部は、前記光学レンズの前記表示パネル側の端部に形成されており、

前記減衰部は、前記第1集中部からの光が照射されるとともに照射された光を拡散させる第1部分と、前記第1部分よりも光の透過率が高く、前記第2集中部からの光を透過させて前記反射部により前記表示パネル側に反射させる第2部分とを含む、請求項10に記載の表示装置。 - 前記減衰部および前記反射部は、一体的に形成されている、請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記光学レンズには、前記表示パネルに対して局所的に光を出射する第1集中部および第2集中部が形成されており、
前記減衰部および前記反射部は、互いに離間するように設けられ、
前記第1集中部からの光は、前記減衰部により拡散されるとともに、前記第2集中部からの光は、前記減衰部と前記反射部との間を通過して前記反射部により前記表示パネル側に反射されるように構成されている、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記表示パネルに対向するように設けられる前記筐体の底面部を覆う反射シートをさらに備え、
