Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a dip tube.
Conventionally, a dip tube used for a vacuum degassing device or the like is known (for example, see Patent Document 1). The immersion tube comprises a cylindrical core, a cylindrical inner brick layer disposed on the inner peripheral side of the core, and a cylindrical outer peripheral fixed brick disposed on the outer peripheral side of the core. An outer peripheral brick layer and a castable layer disposed at least below the cored bar. In the immersion tube, a molten metal passage through which the molten metal flows is formed inside the cylindrical shape of the cored bar.
The immersion pipe is used by immersing its lower end (especially the lower part of the castable layer) in a molten metal in a ladle. In this immersion tube, at the time of use, the molten metal flows from the lower part to the upper part or from the upper part to the lower part in the molten metal passage with the lower part of the castable layer immersed in the high-temperature molten metal in the ladle.
The dip tube described in
According to this conventional immersion tube, the outer peripheral brick layer made of the outer peripheral fixed brick can suppress erosion at the slag line.
However, in the conventional immersion pipe, the castable layer is formed below the outer peripheral side brick layer, and the molten metal may enter the boundary between the outer peripheral side brick layer and the castable layer, and the immersion pipe may be damaged. .
Specifically, in the conventional immersion tube described in
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide an immersion tube in which damage due to intrusion of molten metal is suppressed.
The dip tube of the present invention that solves the above-mentioned problem has a cylindrical core, and an outer peripheral brick layer formed in a cylindrical shape constituted by a plurality of bricks arranged side by side along the outer peripheral surface of the core, And a castable layer disposed at least below the cored bar, wherein the castable layer is formed so as to cover the lower end of the outer peripheral surface of the outer peripheral brick layer.
In the immersion tube of the present invention, the castable layer is formed so as to cover the lower end of the outer peripheral surface of the outer peripheral brick layer, and the radially outer end of the interface between the lower end surface of the outer peripheral brick layer and the castable layer is formed. , Covered by a castable layer. As a result, intrusion of the molten metal into the interface between the lower end surface of the outer peripheral brick layer and the castable layer is suppressed, and damage to the immersion pipe due to the intrusion of the molten metal is suppressed.
Furthermore, the outer diameter end of the boundary between the outer peripheral brick layer and the castable layer is located on the outer peripheral surface of the outer peripheral brick layer. Then, even if the molten metal intrudes into this end portion, the molten metal will penetrate downward along the outer peripheral surface of the outer layer, making it difficult for the molten metal to reach the boundary with the lower end surface of the outer brick. .
In the dip tube of the present invention, of the two ends in the axial direction, the end side immersed in the molten metal is defined as the lower part in the vertical direction, and the opposite end part is defined as the upper part in the vertical direction.

The lower end surfaces of the brick layers 30 and 31 are in contact with the
The

The
As shown in the enlarged cross-sectional view of FIG. 3, a covering
As shown in FIG. 3, the covering
The radial thickness of the covering

(Effect of this embodiment)
According to this embodiment, the
According to this configuration, the radially outer end of the interface between the

According to this embodiment, the

(Evaluation)
Each of the
After a lapse of a predetermined time, the
The comprehensive evaluation in Table 1 indicates that damage (melt damage) of the cored
As shown in Table 1, in Comparative Example 1 in which the covering
On the other hand, in Examples 1 to 7 in which the covering
The longer the length (L1) of the covering
As described above, in the
