Abstract
Description
前記フッ素系バインダーは、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリフッ化ビニリデン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン、ポリフッ化ビニリデン−トリクロロエチレン、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン及びポリクロロトリフルオロエチレンからなる群より選択されたいずれか1つまたはこれらのうち2種以上の混合物があり得るが、これらに制限されることはない。
バインダーとしてPVdF−HFP(ポリフッ化ビニリデン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン共重合体)及びニトリル−ブタジエンゴムをアセトンに添加し、50℃で約12時間以上溶解させてバインダー高分子溶液を用意した。用意したバインダー高分子溶液に平均粒径200nmのベーマイト(γ−AlO(OH))粒子及び平均粒径500nmのアルミナ(Al2O3)粒子を添加し、分散させて多孔性コーティング層用スラリーを製造した。このとき、アルミナ粒子とベーマイト粒子との重量比は85:15であった。
PVdF−HFPとニトリル−ブタジエンゴムとの重量比が80:20であることを除き、実施例1と同じ方法でセパレータを製造した。
PVdF−HFPとニトリル−ブタジエンゴムとの重量比が85:15であることを除き、実施例1と同じ方法でセパレータを製造した。
PVdF−HFPとニトリル−ブタジエンゴムとの重量比が95:5であることを除き、実施例1と同じ方法でセパレータを製造した。
PVdF−HFPとニトリル−ブタジエンゴムとの重量比が75:25であることを除き、実施例1と同じ方法でセパレータを製造した。
PVdF−HFPとニトリル−ブタジエンゴムとの重量比が70:30であることを除き、実施例1と同じ方法でセパレータを製造した。
PVdF−HFPとニトリル−ブタジエンゴムとの重量比が60:40であることを除き、実施例1と同じ方法でセパレータを製造した。
実施例1〜4及び比較例1〜3で製造されたセパレータの通気時間、及び熱収縮率をそれぞれ測定して下記表1に示した。
ガーレー空気透過度値はASTM D726−94方法で測定した。ここで使用されたガーレーは、空気の流れに対する抵抗であって、ガーレーデンソメーター(Gurley densometer)によって測定される。ここで説明されたガーレー空気透過度値は、100mlの空気が12.2水柱インチの圧力下で1平方インチの断面を通過するのにかかる時間(秒)、すなわち通気時間で示した。
実施例1〜4及び比較例1〜3で製造されたセパレータを50mm×50mm大きさに裁断し、A4用紙の間に挟んで150℃の対流式オーブン(convection oven)に30分間入れた後、機械方向(MD)と横方向(TD)の熱収縮率を測定した。このとき、熱収縮率は[(最初の長さ−熱処理後の長さ)/(最初の長さ)×100]で計算した。
Claims (13)
- セパレータであって、
多数の気孔を有する多孔性基材;及び
前記多孔性基材の少なくとも一面に形成され、多数の無機物粒子及び前記無機物粒子の表面の一部又は全部に位置して前記無機物粒子同士の間を連結及び固定させるバインダーを含む一対の多孔性コーティング層;を備えてなり、
前記多孔性コーティング層の全体重量に対する前記バインダーの重量が5〜40重量%であり、
前記無機物粒子がベーマイト粒子を含んでなり、
前記バインダーがフッ素系バインダー及びゴム系バインダーを含んでなり、
前記フッ素系バインダーと前記ゴム系バインダーとの重量比が80:20〜99.9:0.1である、セパレータ。 - 前記フッ素系バインダーが、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリフッ化ビニリデン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン、ポリフッ化ビニリデン−トリクロロエチレン、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン及びポリクロロトリフルオロエチレンからなる群から選択される一種又はこれらの二種以上の混合物である、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ゴム系バインダーが、ニトリル−ブタジエンゴム、水和したニトリル−ブタジエンゴム、スチレン−ブタジエンゴム、水和したスチレン−ブタジエンゴム及びシリコーンゴムからなる群から選択される一種又はこれらの二種以上の混合物である、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記無機物粒子が、ベーマイト粒子以外の他の無機物粒子である非ベーマイト粒子をさらに含んでなる、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記非ベーマイト粒子と前記ベーマイト粒子との重量比が1:99〜99:1である、請求項4に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記非ベーマイト粒子は、誘電率定数が5以上の無機物粒子、リチウムイオン伝達能力を有する無機物粒子又はこれらの混合物である、請求項4に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記誘電率定数が5以上の無機物粒子は、BaTiO3、Pb(Zr,Ti)O3(PZT)、Pb1-xLaxZr1-yTiyO3(PLZT)、PB(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3−PbTiO3(PMN−PT)、ハフニア(HfO2)、SrTiO3、SnO2、CeO2、MgO、NiO、CaO、ZnO、ZrO2、Y2O3、Al2O3、TiO2、SiC又はこれらの混合物である、請求項6に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記リチウムイオン伝達能力を有する無機物粒子が、リチウムホスフェート(Li3PO4)、リチウムチタンホスフェート(LixTiy(PO4)3、0<x<2、0<y<3)、リチウムアルミニウムチタンホスフェート(LixAlyTiz(PO4)3、0<x<2、0<y<1、0<z<3)、(LiAlTiP)xOy系列ガラス(0<x<4、0<y<13)、リチウムランタンチタネート(LixLayTiO3、0<x<2、0<y<3)、リチウムゲルマニウムチオホスフェート(LixGeyPzSw、0<x<4、0<y<1、0<z<1、0<w<5)、リチウムナイトライド(LixNy、0<x<4、0<y<2)、SiS2系列ガラス(LixSiySz、0<x<3、0<y<2、0<z<4)、P2S5系列ガラス(LixPySz、0<x<3、0<y<3、0<z<7)又はこれらの混合物である、請求項6に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記多孔性基材が、ポリオレフィン系多孔性基材である、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記ポリオレフィン系多孔性基材が、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブチレン及びポリペンテンからなる群より選択される一種の高分子又はこれらの混合物で形成されたものである、請求項9に記載のセパレータ。
- 前記多孔性基材の厚さが5〜50μmであり、
前記多孔性基材の気孔の大きさが0.01〜50μmであり、
前記多孔性基材の気孔度が10〜95%である、請求項1に記載のセパレータ。 - 電気化学素子であって、
カソード、アノード、前記カソードと前記アノードとの間に介在されたセパレータを備えてなり、
前記セパレータが請求項1〜11の何れか一項に記載のセパレータである、電気化学素子。 - 前記電気化学素子がリチウム二次電池である、請求項12に記載の電気化学素子。
