Abstract
Description
本実施形態において用いられる潤滑油基油としては特に制限されず、鉱油及び合成油のいずれも使用することができる。
第一の摩擦調整剤は、下記一般式(1)で表される化合物(以下、「化合物A」ということもある)、及び/又は下記一般式(1)で表される化合物とは異なる、炭素数が12以上であり且つ炭素数12以上の直鎖炭化水素鎖を含まない第一の炭化水素基、並びに、酸素及び/又は窒素を含む極性基を有する化合物(以下、「化合物B」ということもある)を含有する。伝達トルク容量を高くしつつ、省燃費を達成できる観点から、第一の摩擦調整剤は、下記一般式(1)で表される化合物(化合物A)を含有することが好ましい。
第二の摩擦調整剤は、上述した第一の摩擦調整剤とは異なる摩擦調整剤であり、炭素数が12以上の直鎖炭化水素鎖を含む第二の炭化水素基、並びに、酸素及び/又は窒素を含む極性基を有する化合物を含有する。
本実施形態に係る潤滑油組成物は、その性能を更に向上させる目的で、必要に応じて、上記摩擦調整剤の他に、任意の添加剤を更に含有することができる。
以下に示す基油及び添加剤を用い、潤滑油組成物を調製した。具体的には、基油Aに、潤滑油組成物全量を基準として、摩耗防止剤Dをリン元素換算で650質量ppm、無灰分散剤Eを3.0質量%、金属系清浄剤Fをカルシウム元素換算で350質量ppm、極圧剤Gを硫黄元素換算で550質量ppm、酸化防止剤Hを0.7質量%、粘度指数向上剤Iを10質量%、消泡剤Jを30質量ppm、並びに、第一及び第二の摩擦調整剤を表1に示す含有量となるように配合することで潤滑油組成物を調製した。表1において、各摩擦調整剤の含有量は、潤滑油組成物全量基準での含有割合(質量%)を示す。

ASTM D 2174に記載のブロックオンリング試験機(LFW−1)を用いて、潤滑油組成物の摩擦係数を以下の条件により測定し、潤滑油組成物の摩擦係数を評価した。

上記で調製した各潤滑油組成物のジャダー防止耐久性をJASO M349:2010に準拠して算出した。具体的には、まず、上記で調製した各潤滑油組成物の80℃でのμ−V特性を示す近似式を求め、すべり速度0.3m/sにおける摩擦係数(μ(0.3))とすべり速度0.9m/sにおける摩擦係数(μ(0.9))をそれぞれ求めた。得られたμ(0.3)及びμ(0.9)から、ジャダー防止性をμ(0.3)/μ(0.9)の値として算出し、当該値が1を超えるまでの時間をジャダー防止耐久性とした。結果を表1に示す。なお、表1では、比較例1のジャダー防止耐久性を1としたときの値をそれぞれ示している。
上記実施例1〜3で調製した潤滑油組成物について、すべり速度を0.1m/sから3.5m/sに代えた以外は、境界潤滑域における金属間摩擦係数と同様の方法により、金属間摩擦係数を測定し、潤滑油組成物の摩擦係数(高回転での摩擦係数:μ2)を測定した。結果を表2に示す。高回転での金属間摩擦係数が低いほど、高回転で潤滑条件がマイルドな領域において省燃費性を達成することが可能な潤滑油組成物であるといえる。
Claims (2)
- 潤滑油基油と、第一の摩擦調整剤と、前記第一の摩擦調整剤とは異なる第二の摩擦調整剤と、を含み、
前記第一の摩擦調整剤が、下記一般式(1)で表される化合物、及び/又は前記一般式(1)で表される化合物とは異なる、炭素数が12以上であり且つ炭素数12以上の直鎖炭化水素鎖を含まない第一の炭化水素基、並びに、酸素及び/又は窒素を含む極性基を有する化合物を含有し、
前記第二の摩擦調整剤が、炭素数が12以上の直鎖炭化水素鎖を含む第二の炭化水素基、並びに、酸素及び/又は窒素を含む極性基を有する化合物を含有する、潤滑油組成物。
[式(1)中、Rは炭素数3〜30の炭化水素基を示し、R’は水素原子又は下記一般式(1’)で表される基を示し、nは1〜3の整数を示す。
(式(1’)中、mは1〜3の整数を示す。)] - 前記第一の摩擦調整剤が、前記一般式(1)で表される化合物を含有する、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
