Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an autonomously traveling vacuum cleaner.
DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ART Conventionally, the autonomous running type vacuum cleaner which a vacuum cleaner itself drives autonomously is known.
The autonomous traveling vacuum cleaner is equipped with a rechargeable battery as a power source for autonomous traveling and cleaning. The autonomous traveling type vacuum cleaner controls the traveling motor that drives the wheel unit and autonomously travels with the control device using the power of the rechargeable battery while scraping dust with a motor-driven rotating brush and using a suction fan Do suction and cleaning.
In the case of an autonomously traveling type vacuum cleaner, it is necessary for the wheel unit to move up and down when crossing over a step for automatic traveling. Therefore, a suspension connected to the wheel is provided in the wheel unit, and the wheel is moved up and down according to the level difference on the floor surface.
For example, in a surface cleaning robot as an example of a conventional autonomous traveling type vacuum cleaner, wheels move in and out of the main body in the vertical direction around a rotation axis arranged parallel to the rotation axis direction of the wheels (drive wheels). At this time, an arm supporting the wheel is extended in the front-rear direction from the pivot shaft, and a spring is engaged with the arm to bias the arm to obtain a force for pushing the wheel unit to the ground.
By the way, in the above-mentioned surface cleaning robot, in order to secure the stroke of the perpendicular direction of a wheel, the length of the front-back direction of an arm is needed, and the structure of a wheel unit and a suspension will enlarge.
That is, when the volume occupied by the wheel unit and the suspension increases, the size of the cleaner body is increased. Increasing the size of the vacuum cleaner body is undesirable because it makes it difficult to clean narrow areas. Therefore, it is desirable to make the wheel unit and the suspension compact.
In addition, when the arm supporting the wheel extends in the front-rear direction, the space for other components is occupied. For example, the place to place the rechargeable battery may be lost, or the rotating brush or the dust suction port may be short, resulting in functional problems.
Then, the autonomous running type vacuum cleaner which the arm which supports a wheel extends in the left-right direction is described in FIG. 8, FIG. 10 grade | etc., Of
However, in an autonomous vacuum cleaner extending the arms supporting the wheels in the left and right direction, when the arms of the suspension protrude downward from the housing, the arms of the suspension connected to the wheels ride on the steps when the wheels get over the steps. There is a risk of In this case, there are cases where the autonomously traveling vacuum cleaner can not get over the step.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and it is an object of the present invention to provide an autonomously traveling type cleaner that does not have any trouble in traveling even when there is a step in the cleaning area.
In order to solve the above-mentioned subject, in the autonomous running type vacuum cleaner of the present invention, a case which forms an outline of a main part, a pair of driving wheels rotated by driving of each traveling motor, and an axle direction of the driving wheels And an arm member rotatably supported between the main body and the drive wheel and supporting the drive wheel, and a first shaft rotatably supporting the arm member on the main body. The arm member includes a second shaft rotatably supported with respect to the drive wheel, and the drive wheel is vertically moved by rotation of the arm member, and the first shaft and the second shaft are moved. A shaft is accommodated inside the case regardless of the rotation of the arm member.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an autonomously traveling type cleaner that does not have trouble in traveling even when there is a step in the cleaning area.

In the related art, it is difficult to regulate the positional deviation of the arm in the front-rear direction when the arm is pivoted, because the arm projects below the lower case.

FIG. 14 is a schematic view illustrating an operation mode in which the autonomous traveling vacuum cleaner S of the present embodiment can execute. In the figure, thick-line arrows indicate an example of a traveling locus of the autonomous traveling type vacuum cleaner S.
The autonomous running type vacuum cleaner S selects and executes the operation mode of "In-the-wall-travel-oriented mode", "Reflected-travel-oriented mode", and "Leg-travel-oriented mode" in accordance with the situation such as the arrangement of furniture. it can. This designation can be performed, for example, through the operation of the
The autonomous traveling vacuum cleaner S can execute an "automatic mode" which executes a traveling pattern including traveling by the wall, reflecting traveling, and traveling around the legs, while traveling by these walls performed during the execution time of the automatic mode As a mode in which the time ratio of the reflective running and the leg running is higher than that in the automatic mode, there are prepared "a driving on a wall side mode", a "reflection running focused mode" and a "leg running on a leg mode".

Traveling around the legs is not a thick obstacle like a wall, for example, but if it is judged as a thin obstacle like a chair leg, then the main body is turned around the obstacle and the tip of the obstacle Is a traveling pattern that further cleans the The thickness of the obstacle can be distinguished by providing a plurality of
FIG. 15 is a diagram showing an operation when the autonomous traveling vacuum cleaner S of the present embodiment detects a dust-rich area. The autonomously traveling vacuum cleaner S has a
However, since the amount of waste is measured in parallel with traveling, when it is detected that the amount of waste is large, the area may be passed. For this reason, when it is detected that the autonomous traveling type vacuum cleaner S has a large amount of dust, the autonomous traveling type vacuum cleaner S turns so as to reverse the traveling direction with a diameter smaller than its own diameter (or dimension, hereinafter the same) In other words, it turns so as to reverse the traveling direction with a diameter larger than its own diameter (to return the traveling direction), and turns (excludes the superpower turning). The two pivoting movements are preferably performed in the same direction (clockwise or counterclockwise).
By changing the traveling direction by turning in this manner, the area detected as having a large amount of dust can be cleaned widely. Moreover, a wider range can be cleaned by turning in the same direction with a smaller diameter and a larger diameter than its own diameter.
The control of the above-described second embodiment is performed by the control device 10 (see FIG. 3).
