Hereinafter, specific embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the following embodiment. In addition, the drawings are appropriately simplified for the sake of clarity.
As a matter of course, the right-handed xyz coordinates shown in FIG. 1 are convenient for explaining the positional relationship of the components. Usually, the z-axis plus direction is vertically upward, and the xy plane is a horizontal plane.

FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view of a heat treatment apparatus used in the workpiece manufacturing method according to the first embodiment. As shown in FIG. 1, the

The
Hereinafter, a method of processing a workpiece using the heat treatment apparatus 1 (a method for manufacturing a workpiece) will be described. In the workpiece manufacturing method described below, a case where a decarburizing process and a nitrocarburizing process are performed on a workpiece that has been subjected to a carburizing process will be described. In the present embodiment, a carburizing process is performed. You may perform a decarburization process and a nitriding process with respect to the workpiece | work which is not. That is, since the steel material containing carbon has carbon atoms on the surface of the workpiece without performing the carburizing process, such a material may be subjected to a decarburizing process and a nitrocarburizing process.
FIG. 2 is a flowchart of the workpiece manufacturing method according to the first embodiment. With reference to FIG.1 and FIG.2, the flow of the manufacturing method of a workpiece | work is demonstrated.
<Step S1: evacuation>
First, as shown in FIG. 1, a
<Step S2: Heating the workpiece>
Next, the
<Step S3: Decarburization process>
Next, a decarburization process is performed. Hydrogen gas is used for the decarburization treatment. As shown in FIG. 1, hydrogen gas is supplied from the
<Step S4: Measurement of decarburization amount>
Next, the amount of decarburization is measured. The amount of decarburization can be determined by measuring the surface carbon concentration of the workpiece. The surface carbon concentration is measured using, for example, an electron probe micro analyzer (EPMA). When the predetermined decarburization amount is obtained (step S4: YES), the process proceeds to the nitriding process (step S5). On the other hand, when the predetermined decarburization amount cannot be obtained (step S4: NO), the process returns to the vacuuming (step S1) process, and the processes of steps S1 to S4 are performed again. Here, the predetermined amount of decarburization refers to a case where the carbon concentration is about 0.7 mass% or less at a depth of 0.0 mm to 0.2 mm from the
<Step S5: Nitrogen treatment>
Finally, a nitriding process is performed. As shown in FIG. 1, a nitriding gas containing ammonia gas is supplied from a
The above is a series of flows of the workpiece manufacturing method according to the first embodiment.
Next, the decarburization process (step S3) will be described in detail. FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of a region A1 in FIG. 1 and is a schematic diagram showing a decarburization process. As shown in FIG. 3, when the
The carbon diffused by heating the
In conventional carburizing and nitriding treatment under atmospheric pressure, when decarburization is performed using water vapor, the surface of the workpiece containing iron is easily oxidized by the strong oxidizing power of water vapor, and the subsequent immersion is performed. There was a problem that the nitrogen treatment was hindered.
In the present embodiment, decarburization treatment is performed before the
Moreover, the decarburization process in the surface of the workpiece | work 12 can be accelerated | stimulated by performing the decarburization process using hydrogen gas in vacuum conditions in the case of the decarburization process of the workpiece |
Furthermore, since water vapor is not used in the decarburization process, the

Next, examples of the present invention will be described.
EXAMPLES Hereinafter, although this invention is demonstrated concretely based on an Example, this invention is not limited only to these Examples.
<実施例1>
<Example 1>
FIG. 4 is a graph showing the introduction conditions of the carburizing gas, hydrogen gas, and nitriding gas according to the first example. In Example 1, carburizing treatment with a carburizing gas containing acetylene gas, decarburizing treatment with hydrogen gas, and nitriding treatment with a nitrogenizing gas containing ammonia gas were performed.
First, the workpiece was heated to 950 ° C. before carburizing treatment. Next, carburizing treatment was performed by introducing carburizing gas containing acetylene gas into the heating furnace. The carburizing process was performed at 950 ° C. for 10 minutes by adjusting the pressure in the heating furnace to 10,000 Pa.
Next, decarburization treatment was performed using hydrogen gas. The decarburization treatment was performed at 950 ° C. for 10 minutes by adjusting the pressure in the heating furnace to 5,000 Pa.
Finally, nitrogen treatment was performed using ammonia gas. The nitriding treatment was performed at 950 ° C. for 20 minutes by adjusting the pressure in the heating furnace to 10,000 Pa.
The graphs showing the carbon concentration distribution and the nitrogen concentration distribution on the surface of the workpiece obtained by the above treatment are shown in FIGS.
FIG. 5 is a graph showing the carbon concentration distribution in the depth direction of the workpiece according to the first example. FIG. 6 is a graph showing the nitrogen concentration distribution in the depth direction of the workpiece according to Example 1. 5 and 6, the horizontal axis represents the depth from the workpiece surface. The vertical axis shows the carbon concentration in FIG. 5 and the nitrogen concentration in FIG.
First, the carbon concentration will be described with reference to FIG. In this example, the peak with the highest carbon concentration at a depth of about 0.2 mm from the workpiece surface is shown (about 0.6 mass%). From the peak of the carbon concentration to the surface layer side and the deep layer side, the carbon concentration gradually decreases. The reason why the carbon concentration on the surface layer side is low is considered to be because the carbon concentration on the surface layer side was lowered because decarburization treatment with hydrogen gas was performed.
Next, the nitrogen concentration will be described with reference to FIG. In the present embodiment, since the nitriding treatment is performed after the decarburization treatment with hydrogen gas, the nitrogen concentration in the outermost layer (depth 0.0 mm) is the highest (about 0.2 mass%). That is, it is considered that nitrogen entered the decarburized portion and was nitrided.
<実施例2>
<Example 2>
FIG. 7 is a graph showing the introduction conditions of carburizing gas, hydrogen gas, and nitrous gas according to Example 2. In Example 2, carburizing treatment with a carburizing gas containing acetylene gas, nitrogen removing treatment by introducing a small amount of a nitrogen removing gas in combination with decarburizing treatment with hydrogen gas, and nitrogen removing treatment with a nitrogen removing gas containing ammonia gas. went.
Next, nitrogen treatment was performed by introducing a small amount of nitrogen gas together with decarburization treatment with hydrogen gas. As the nitriding gas, ammonia gas was used as in Example 1. In this example, the gas ratio of hydrogen gas to nitrogen gas was 9: 1. The decarburization treatment and the nitriding treatment with a small amount of nitriding gas were performed at 950 ° C. for 10 minutes by adjusting the pressure in the heating furnace to 5,000 Pa.
Finally, a nitriding treatment with a nitriding gas containing ammonia gas was performed. The nitriding treatment was performed at 950 ° C. for 20 minutes by adjusting the pressure in the heating furnace to 10,000 Pa.

FIG. 8 is a graph showing the carbon concentration distribution in the depth direction of the workpiece according to the second example. FIG. 9 is a graph showing the nitrogen concentration distribution in the depth direction of the workpiece according to Example 2. 8 and 9, the horizontal axis indicates the depth from the workpiece surface. The vertical axis shows the carbon concentration in FIG. 8, and the nitrogen concentration in FIG.
First, the carbon concentration will be described with reference to FIG. In this example, the peak with the highest carbon concentration at a depth of about 0.2 mm from the workpiece surface is shown (about 0.7 mass%).
In the present embodiment, since the nitriding treatment is performed after the decarburization treatment with hydrogen gas, the nitrogen concentration in the outermost layer (depth 0.0 mm) is the highest (about 0.4 mass%). That is, it is considered that nitrogen entered the decarburized portion and was nitrided.

<Comparative Example 1>
FIG. 10 is a graph showing the introduction conditions of carburizing gas, hydrogen gas, and nitrous gas according to Comparative Example 1. In the comparative example 1, the carburizing process by the carburizing gas containing acetylene gas and the nitriding process by the nitriding gas containing ammonia gas were performed. In Comparative Example 1, the decarburization process is not performed.
Next, nitrogen treatment was performed using ammonia gas. The nitriding treatment was performed at 950 ° C. for 40 minutes by adjusting the pressure in the heating furnace to 10,000 Pa.
The following graphs showing the carbon concentration distribution and the nitrogen concentration distribution on the surface of the workpiece obtained by the above treatment are shown in FIGS.
FIG. 11 is a graph showing the carbon concentration distribution in the depth direction of the workpiece according to Comparative Example 1. FIG. 12 is a graph showing the nitrogen concentration distribution in the depth direction of the workpiece according to Comparative Example 1. 11 and 12, the horizontal axis indicates the depth from the workpiece surface. The vertical axis shows the carbon concentration in FIG. 11, and the nitrogen concentration in FIG.
First, the carbon concentration will be described with reference to FIG. In Comparative Example 1, the carbon concentration in the outermost surface layer (0.0 mm) of the workpiece is the highest (about 0.8 mass%). This is presumably because the decarburization treatment was not performed in Comparative Example 1, and thus the outermost surface layer of the workpiece showed the highest carbon concentration.
Next, the nitrogen concentration will be described with reference to FIG. In Comparative Example 1, the decarburization process after the carburization process is not performed. That is, it is in a state where the carbon concentration is high on the surface layer of the work and nitrogen is difficult to enter. Moreover, although nitrogen concentration shows the nitrogen concentration with the highest outermost surface of a workpiece | work, it is about 0.1 mass%.
Comparison between Example 1 and Example 2 and Comparative Example 1 is performed using the above results.
In Example 1 and Example 2, the carbon concentration of the outermost layer of the workpiece showed a low value due to decarburization, and was about 0.4% respectively. On the other hand, in Comparative Example 1, the carbon concentration of the outermost layer of the workpiece was relatively high and was about 0.8%.
Moreover, in Example 1 and Example 2, the highest nitrogen concentration showed the high numerical value with about 0.2 mass% and about 0.4 mass%, respectively. On the other hand, in Comparative Example 1, the highest nitrogen concentration was about 0.1 mass%.
Furthermore, in Example 1 and Example 2, the nitriding treatment could be performed in 20 minutes, but in Comparative Example 1, it took 40 minutes.
From the above results, it is considered that the carbon concentration in the surface layer of the work greatly affects the speed of the nitriding treatment. Specifically, the lower the carbon concentration in the surface layer of the workpiece, that is, the more decarburized, the more nitrogen enters the decarburized portion, and thus the speed of the nitriding treatment becomes faster. In Example 1 and Example 2, carburizing treatment is sufficiently performed up to the inside of the workpiece, but after carburizing treatment, decarburization treatment is performed in a vacuum after suppressing the oxidation of the workpiece surface in vacuum. It was possible to suppress a decrease in the nitrogen rate.
Furthermore, in Example 2, cycle time was able to be shortened by performing a decarburization process and a nitriding process simultaneously.
