Abstract
Description
HMDは通常、目から近い距離に位置する表示装置がユーザとの対話のために画像を提供するような、ユーザの頭部に装着される携帯型装置である。その他の場合には、画像がユーザの網膜に直接投影される。ユーザが計算装置によって作成された画像を見ることが可能である仮想現実環境をHMDが提供する場合がある。体験は没入型である場合があるが、これはプレイヤーの動作(例えば、頭部を動かす)が仮想現実の映像内の対応する変化に変換され、プレイヤーが仮想現実の中にいるような錯覚を与えることを意味する。
Claims (20)
- ユーザが頭部搭載型表示装置(HMD)を装着しており、前記HMDの表示装置上で提示するための映像及び音声を含むマルチメディアコンテンツによって前記HMDが仮想現実を提示している間に、前記ユーザの動作を含む前記ユーザの身体特性を監視し、
前記仮想現実が提示されている間に、前記ユーザの前記身体特性を前記監視することに基づいて、前記ユーザが乗り物酔いを体験しているか否かを判定し、
前記ユーザが乗り物酔いを体験している際に、前記ユーザが体験する前記乗り物酔いを低減するよう定義され、前記ユーザに提供するための前記マルチメディアコンテンツからの音と組み合わされる追加音を前記ユーザに提供する、
方法。 - 前記身体特性が、ユーザの体動、またはユーザの瞳孔の動き、またはユーザの視線、またはユーザの頭部の動作、またはユーザのバランスの1つまたは複数を含む、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記乗り物酔いを低減するために前記HMD上で実行され、前記HMDにおける表示のために前記仮想現実を生成するゲームのゲームの臨場感を下げる、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記乗り物酔いをさらに低減するよう定義された振動パターンで前記HMDを振動させることをさらに含む、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記ユーザの身体特性の監視では、
更に、前記HMD内のセンサによって取得されたセンサデータを用いて前記ユーザの動作を監視する、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記ユーザの身体特性の監視では、
更に、前記HMDの外部のカメラによって取得された画像データを用いて、前記ユーザの動作を監視する、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記ユーザの年齢を含む前記ユーザのプロファイルに基づいて、前記追加音が判定される、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記ユーザの前庭系のためのマイクロウェーブ刺激を生成することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記乗り物酔いが所定の閾値を超える場合に、前記ユーザのための出口処理を起動する、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記追加音が、音響パルス、または連続的な音響信号、または超音波音の1つまたは複数を含む、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 頭部搭載型表示装置(HMD)であって、
マルチメディアコンテンツを用いて仮想現実を提示するための表示装置と、
前記マルチメディアコンテンツの音を提示するためのスピーカと、
前記HMDを装着しているユーザの視線を追跡するためのカメラと、
前記ユーザの前記視線の前記追跡に基づいて前記ユーザが乗り物酔いを体験しているか否かを判定する処理装置であって、前記ユーザが乗り物酔いを体験している際に前記ユーザが体験する前記乗り物酔いを低減するよう定義され、前記スピーカを介した前記ユーザへの提供のために前記マルチメディアコンテンツからの音と組み合わされる追加音を前記スピーカが提供する前記処理装置と、
を備えるHMD。 - 前記処理装置が、不規則なユーザの体動を検出すること、または不規則なユーザの視線を検出すること、または不規則な瞳孔の動きを検出することの1つまたは複数によって、前記ユーザが乗り物酔いを体験しているか否かを判定する、
請求項11に記載のHMD。 - 前記処理装置が、ユーザがバランスを失っていることを検出すること、または前記ユーザがゲーム課題に応答しないことを検出することの1つまたは複数によって、前記ユーザが乗り物酔いを体験しているか否かを判定する、
請求項11に記載のHMD。 - 前記仮想現実が、前記HMD上で実行されるゲームによって生成される、
請求項11に記載のHMD。 - 前記処理装置が、前記乗り物酔いを低減するために前記HMD上で実行され、前記HMDにおける表示のために前記仮想現実を生成するゲームのゲームの臨場感を下げる、
請求項11に記載のHMD。 - コンピュータプログラムを記憶する非一時的コンピュータ可読記憶媒体であって、
頭部搭載型表示装置(HMD)を装着しているユーザが前記HMD上のマルチメディアコンテンツを用いて仮想現実にアクセスしている間の、前記ユーザの身体特性を監視するためのプログラム命令と、
前記身体特性に基づいて前記ユーザが乗り物酔いを体験しているか否かを判定するためのプログラム命令と、
前記ユーザが乗り物酔いを体験している場合に、前記ユーザが体験する前記乗り物酔いを低減するよう定義され、前記ユーザに提供するために前記マルチメディアコンテンツからの音と組み合わされる追加音を前記ユーザに提供するためのプログラム命令と、を備える、
コンピュータ可読記憶媒体。 - 前記身体特性が、ユーザの体動、またはユーザの瞳孔の動き、またはユーザの視線、またはユーザの頭部の動作、またはユーザのバランスの1つまたは複数を含む、
請求項16に記載のコンピュータ可読記憶媒体。 - 前記乗り物酔いを低減するために前記HMD上で実行され、前記HMDにおける表示のために前記仮想現実を生成するゲームのゲームの臨場感を下げるためのプログラム命令をさらに含む、
