Abstract
Description
US7,629,281は、βサイアロン、12H、粒子間非晶質または部分結晶相、およびイットリウムを含むセラミック材料を示す。
実験例1乃至16に対するビッカース硬さ(HV)、ロックウェル硬さ(HRa)および破壊靭性(fracture toughness、KIC)を測定し、その結果を表3に示す。表3において、ビッカース硬さ(HV)の単位はkgf/mm2であり、破壊靭性(KIC)の単位はPa・m1/2である。
表1の実験例10、実験例11および実験例14で製造されたセラミック材料を用いて、切削工具であるインサートを作った。それぞれのインサートは、740m/minの速度、0.1mm/revの移動速度、1.5mmの切削深さ、および20mmの切削幅を利用するインコネル718の旋削作業で試験された。切削油は使用されなかった。
Claims (3)
- β−サイアロン(Si(6−z)AlzOzN(8−z))、多型15Rおよび粒間相からなり、イットリウムを含有するセラミック材料において、
前記多型15Rは双晶結晶粒(twin grain)を含む、セラミック材料。 - 34°の2θ値における15RピークのCu−KαX線回折パターンのピーク高さと、33°の2θ値におけるβ−サイアロンの同じ回折パターンのピーク高さとの比で測定された前記多型15Rの量は25〜55%である、請求項1に記載のセラミック材料。
- 請求項1乃至2に記載の材料で製作される、チップ形成金属機械加工用切削工具。
