Description

ゲートウェイ機能部３３は、フィールド機器１から送信されたジョインリクエストを用いて、デバイス認証を行う（ステップＳ３０３）。このデバイス認証とは、通信接続されているフィールド機器１が、ｍｏｄｂｕｓレジスタ３２に格納されているデバイス設定情報を書き込むフィールド機器１であることを認証することである。なお、通信接続されているフィールド機器１とは、ジョインリクエストを送信したフィールド機器１である。
ゲートウェイ機能部３３は、フィールド機器１から送信されたジョインリクエストに基づいて、デバイス認証が成功したか否かを判定する（ステップＳ３０４）。例えば、ゲートウェイ機能部３３は、フィールド機器１から送信されたジョインリクエストと、ｍｏｄｂｕｓレジスタ３２内の参入情報とを照合する。
そして、その照合の結果、フィールド機器１から送信されたジョインリクエストと、ｍｏｄｂｕｓレジスタ３２内の参入情報とが一致した場合には、ゲートウェイ機能部３３は、デバイス認証が成功したと判定してステップＳ３０５の処理を行う。一方、その照合の結果、フィールド機器１から送信されたジョインリクエストと、ｍｏｄｂｕｓレジスタ３２内の参入情報とが一致しない場合には、ゲートウェイ機能部３３はデバイス認証が失敗したと判定し、別のフィールド機器１からジョインリクエストが送信されるのを待つ。
ゲートウェイ機能部３３は、デバイス認証が成功した場合には、ｍｏｄｂｕｓレジスタ３２に格納されているデバイス設定情報を、ジョインリクエスを送信したフィールド機器１に書き込む（ステップＳ３０５）。なお、ゲートウェイ機能部３３は、デバイス認証が成功した場合に、ｍｏｄｂｕｓレジスタ３２に格納されているデバイス設定情報のプロセス設定情報のみを、ジョインリクエスを送信したフィールド機器１に書き込んでもよい。これは、フィールド機器１には、既に参入情報が設定されているためである。
