Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a fuel cell stack device. In particular, the present invention relates to a fuel cell stack device of a solid oxide fuel cell device that generates power by a reaction between a fuel gas obtained by reforming a raw material gas and an oxidant gas.
A solid oxide fuel cell device (hereinafter also referred to as “SOFC”) uses an oxide ion conductive solid electrolyte as an electrolyte, and a fuel cell having electrodes attached to both sides thereof in a multi-module container. The fuel cell is arranged to supply a fuel gas to one electrode (fuel electrode) and supply an oxidant gas (air, oxygen, etc.) to the other electrode (air electrode) to generate power by a power generation reaction. It is a device for extracting electric power, and operates at a relatively high temperature of, for example, about 700 to 1000 ° C. with respect to other fuel cell devices such as a polymer electrolyte fuel cell device.
As a fuel cell used for such a solid oxide fuel cell device, a flat cylindrical cell described in Patent Document 1, a cylindrical single cell described in Patent Document 2, a cylindrical horizontal stripe type described in Patent Document 3, and the like It has been known.
By the way, as such a solid oxide fuel cell device, a high fuel utilization rate (Uf) in the fuel cell of the fuel gas to be supplied and a high power generation efficiency are required. Therefore, in order to improve the fuel utilization rate and the power generation efficiency, the fuel cell array as described in Patent Document 4 and Patent Document 5 is divided into two cell groups to promote the cascade use of fuel gas, which has a two-stage configuration. Cascade fuel cells have been proposed.
However, if such a cascaded fuel cell having a two-stage configuration is applied to a fuel cell stack and a fuel cell device using conventional cylindrical fuel cells, the device configuration becomes complicated and the fuel cell device is downsized. It is difficult to construct easily because it is hindered.
In particular, when the number of primary fuel cells is greater than or equal to the number of secondary fuel cells, the amount of water vapor generated during the power generation reaction increases. For this reason, the amount of water vapor in the off-gas discharged from the secondary fuel cell increases, and the combustion efficiency in the secondary fuel cell decreases. Furthermore, when the number of primary side fuel cells is larger than the number of secondary side fuel cells, the secondary side fuel cells must generate power with a small number, and the power generation efficiency Decreases.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and has a simple configuration that can be applied to miniaturization while suppressing complication of the apparatus, and has a two-stage cascade type fuel cell using columnar fuel cells. The object is to provide a stacking device. In particular, an object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell stack device in which the amount of water vapor in the fuel gas discharged from the primary side fuel cell is suppressed and the power generation efficiency does not decrease.
In the fuel cell stack device of the present invention, a first cell stack and a second cell stack formed by juxtaposing a plurality of columnar fuel cells having gas passages extending in the longitudinal direction are arranged in a horizontal direction. And a first manifold for supplying fuel gas to each fuel cell of the first cell stack, a fuel gas discharged from the first cell stack, and a second And a second manifold for supplying the recovered fuel gas to each fuel cell of the cell stack, wherein the number of fuel cells in the second cell stack is More than the number of fuel cells in one cell stack.
According to the present invention having the above configuration, the fuel gas used in the first cell stack flows into the second cell stack and is further consumed, so that the fuel utilization rate can be increased. In addition, fuel gas can be consumed in two stages without greatly changing the cell arrangement, so that a fuel cell stack with high power generation efficiency and easy manufacture can be provided.
According to the present invention configured as described above, the amount of water vapor generated in the first cell stack can be suppressed by reducing the number of fuel cells in the first cell stack. Furthermore, by increasing the number of fuel cells in the second cell stack, the flow rate of the fuel gas flowing in the second cell stack can be reduced, and combustibility can be ensured.
In the present invention, preferably, each of the first cell stack and the second cell stack includes a plurality of fuel cells arranged in a line, and the first cell stack and the second cell stack are: It arrange | positions so that the sequence direction of a some fuel cell may become parallel.

In addition, the fuel cell of the second cell stack can be heated by the heat of the fuel cell of the first cell stack.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the invention disclosed in this specification will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. From the following description, many modifications and other embodiments of the present invention are apparent to persons skilled in the art. Accordingly, the following description is to be construed as illustrative only and is provided for the purpose of teaching those skilled in the art the best mode of carrying out the invention. Details of the structure and / or function may be substantially changed without departing from the spirit of the invention.
First, the basic configuration of the present invention will be described. FIG. 1 is a side view for explaining a basic configuration of a
When the fuel gas is supplied to the inside of the
Here, fuel consumption will be described with reference to FIGS. 2 (A) and 2 (B).
As shown in FIG. 2 (A), when the fuel gas is consumed in two stages of the
On the other hand, when power is not generated in two stages, that is, when power is generated in one stage, the fuel is set to 100, and the amount consumed in the cell group is consumed in one stage. .8 and the fuel utilization rate Uf is 80%.
When the fuel utilization rate is 80% or more, the electromotive force of the cell is lowered because the water vapor partial pressure becomes too high. That is, since it is affected by Nernstross, the potential tends to decrease and the power generation efficiency decreases. If the fuel utilization rate is too high, the risk of oxidation of the cell electrode increases, and the durability of the cell deteriorates.
In view of the above, the fuel cell stack is maintained at a low level for each cell group by forming the plurality of cells with the
In this specification, the
As described above, the fuel gas is introduced from the manifold on the other end side, the unused gas is collected in the manifold on the one end side, and supplied to the cell group on the open side. The conventional fuel can be obtained by simply adjusting the number of cells on the upstream side and the downstream side without greatly restricting or hindering the cell arrangement, the series connection of cells, the flow of power generation air, etc. It is possible to provide a fuel cell stack with a high fuel utilization rate, in which the structure of the battery module can be applied as it is.
Further, by disposing a reformer and an evaporator in a combustion region where off gas discharged from the fuel cell stack is combusted, an arrangement configuration equivalent to that of a conventional fuel cell module can be applied. For this reason, it can respond to a small fuel cell device having an output performance of about 1 kw, and can provide a highly efficient and highly durable fuel cell system.

The configuration of the

As shown in FIGS. 3 to 7 and 9, the

As shown in FIG. 10, the

The connecting
As shown in FIG. 9, the

As shown in FIG. 11, a

The
The

The raw material gas and water (steam) are supplied to the
The fuel gas reformed in the
A
The fuel gas flowing into the chamber 2b2 is sent from the lower end to the internal flow path of the
The fuel gas that has passed through the
The exhaust gas generated by burning the fuel gas in the
Next, the power generation air is sent from the outside into the
The power generation air sent into the
Here, since the lower through
Further, the power generation air sent into the
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the following operational effects are achieved.

Further, according to the present embodiment, the amount of water vapor generated in the
Further, according to the present embodiment, the
In addition, according to the present embodiment, one end of the
Furthermore, according to the present embodiment, the one end portion in the arrangement direction of the
Furthermore, according to the present embodiment, on the other end side in the arrangement direction of the

Next, the
The cap 1102 (metal cap) is provided so as to surround the upper and lower ends of the cell
