第1平滑表面及び側表面を有する第1部分と、
第1平滑表面、第2平滑表面、及び側表面を有する第2部分であって、該第1部分と嵌合する形状である、第2部分と、
該第1部分と該第2部分との間の該光学コンポーネントに埋め込まれた多層光学フィルムであって、強め合う干渉又は弱め合う干渉により光を選択的に反射するよう配置された複数のポリマー層を含み、該複数のポリマー層の少なくともいくつかが複屈折である、多層光学フィルムと、
を含み、
該第1光学表面が、該第1部分の該第1平滑表面と、該第2部分の該第1平滑表面とを含み、
該第2光学表面が、該第2部分の該第2平滑表面を含み、

多層光学フィルムを提供する工程であって、該多層光学フィルムが、強め合う干渉及び弱め合う干渉により光を選択的に反射するよう構成された複数のポリマー層を含み、該複数のポリマー層の少なくともいくつかが複屈折性である、工程と、

前記第1光学表面の全体、又は実質的に全体、又は一部に、保護コーティングを形成する工程を更に含む、項目28〜31のいずれか一項に記載の方法である。
Claims (10)
- 周縁表面により接合された、第1及び第2の相対する光学表面を有するレンズであって、該レンズは、
第1平滑表面及び側表面を有する第1レンズ部分と、
第1平滑表面、第2平滑表面、及び側表面を有する第2レンズ部分と、
該第1レンズ部分と該第2レンズ部分との間の該レンズに埋め込まれた多層光学フィルムであって、強め合う干渉又は弱め合う干渉により光を選択的に反射するよう構成された複数のポリマー層を含み、該複数のポリマー層の少なくともいくつかが複屈折である、多層光学フィルムと、
を含み、
該第1光学表面が、該第1レンズ部分の該第1平滑表面と、該第2レンズ部分の該第1平滑表面とを含み、
該第2光学表面が、該第2レンズ部分の該第2平滑表面を含み、
該多層光学フィルムが、該第1レンズ部分の該第1平滑表面と該第2レンズ部分の該第1平滑表面とを分離する第1延長境界線を含む、レンズ。 - 前記周縁表面が、前記第1レンズ部分の前記側表面と、前記第2レンズ部分の前記側表面とを含む、請求項1に記載のレンズ。
- 前記第1光学表面が更に前記第1延長境界線を含む、請求項1に記載のレンズ。
- 前記第1延長境界線が、前記第1レンズ部分の前記第1平滑表面と、前記第2レンズ部分の前記第1平滑表面とを分離する、第1延長ノッチ内に配置されている、請求項1に記載のレンズ。
- 前記第1レンズ部分が更に第2平滑表面を有し、該第2光学表面が、該第1レンズ部分の該第2平滑表面と、前記第2レンズ部分の前記第2平滑表面とを含み、前記多層光学フィルムが、該第1レンズ部分の該第2平滑表面と該第2レンズ部分の該第2平滑表面とを分離する第2延長境界線を含む、請求項1に記載のレンズ。
- 前記第2延長境界線が、前記第1レンズ部分の前記第2平滑表面と前記第2レンズ部分の前記第2平滑表面とを分離する第2延長ノッチ内に配置されている、請求項5に記載のレンズ。
- 垂直入射光の少なくとも1つの可視光波長について、前記多層光学フィルムが反射性偏光子として構成されている、請求項1に記載のレンズ。
- 請求項1に記載のレンズと、
前記多層光学フィルムに向けて画像光を導くよう配置された画像デバイスと、を含む、システム。 - 前記システムがアイウェアを含む、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 周縁表面により接合された、第1及び第2の相対する光学表面を有する光学コンポーネントであって、該光学コンポーネントは、
第1平滑表面及び側表面を有する第1部分と、
