Claims (10)
- 走査線、データ線、及び前記走査線と前記データ線との交差領域に配置される画素を備える表示パネルと、

を含むことを特徴とする、表示装置。 - 前記タイミング制御部は、入力画像データに基づいて複数の表示周期のうちから1つを選択し、前記複数の表示周期のうちから選択された1つを前記表示周期として決定することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記タイミング制御部は、前記入力画像データに基づいて入力画像が動画像かまたは停止画像かを判断し、前記入力画像が動画像の場合、前記複数の表示周期のうちから第1表示周期を選択し、前記入力画像が停止画像の場合、前記複数の表示周期のうちから第2表示周期を選択し、
前記入力画像データのオンピクセル比を算出し、前記オンピクセル比が予め設定された値以内であれば、入力画像が特殊画像であると判断し、前記複数の表示周期のうちから第2表示周期を選択し、
前記第2表示周期は前記第1表示周期より大きいことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記タイミング制御部は、前記表示周期が複数のフレーム時間を含む場合、前記複数のフレーム時間のうち、1フレーム時間の間論理ローレベルを有し、前記複数のフレーム時間のうち、残りのフレーム時間の間論理ハイレベルを有するマスク信号を生成し、
前記走査駆動部は前記マスク信号に基づいて前記1フレーム時間の間前記走査信号を前記 画素に提供し、前記残りのフレーム時間の間前記走査信号の供給を中断し、
前記フレーム時間は1つのフレームを表示する所要時間(required time)であることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の表示装置。 - 前記タイミング制御部は、予め設定された輝度プロファイルを用いて前記電源制御信号を生成し、
前記給電部は前記電源制御信号に基づいて前記電源電圧を段階的に変化させることができ、
前記予め設定された輝度プロファイルは前記表示周期の間の時間経過に従う輝度の変化情報を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記電源電圧に従って前記給電部から前記表示パネルに供給される総電流を測定する電流測定部をさらに含み、
前記タイミング制御部は前記表示周期の間の時間経過に従う前記総電流の減少割合を算出し、前記総電流の前記減少割合に基づいて前記電源電圧を増加させる電源制御信号を生成することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記画素のオフデューティー比を制御する発光制御信号を生成し、かつ前記表示周期に基づいて前記オフデューティー比を変化させることができる発光駆動部をさらに含み、
前記発光駆動部は、入力画像データに基づいて前記オフデューティー比を算出し、前記表示周期の間オフデューティー比を徐々に減少させ、
前記オフデューティー比は前記画素の発光時間対比非発光時間の割合を示すことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 走査線、データ線、発光制御線及び前記走査線、前記データ線及び前記発光制御線の交差領域に配置される画素を備える表示パネルと、
走査信号を前記走査線を通じて前記画素に提供する走査駆動部と、
データ信号を前記データ線を通じて前記画素に提供するデータ駆動部と、
表示されるフレームの間の時間間隔(time interval)を示す表示周期を決定するタイミング制御部と、
前記画素の発光時間対比非発光時間の割合を示すオフデューティー比を制御する発光制御信号を前記発光制御線を通じて前記画素に提供し、かつ前記表示周期に基づいて前記オフデューティー比を変化させることができる発光駆動部と、
を含むことを特徴とする、表示装置。 - 走査線、データ線、電源線及び前記走査線、前記データ線及び電源線の交差領域に配置される画素を備える表示パネルと、
フレームの間の時間間隔(time interval)を示す表示周期に基づいて走査駆動制御信号、データ駆動制御信号、第2電源制御信号、及びスイッチ制御信号を生成するタイミング制御部と、
前記走査駆動制御信号に基づいて走査信号を前記走査線を通じて前記画素に提供し、前記データ駆動制御信号に基づいてデータ信号を前記データ線を通じて前記画素に提供する駆動回路部と、
前記画素を駆動させる電源電圧を生成し、前記電源線を通じて画素に電源電圧を供給する給電部とを含み、
前記駆動回路部は、
前記第2電源制御信号に応答して前記表示周期の間の時間経過に従って可変である補助電源電圧を生成するチャージポンプユニットと、
前記スイッチ制御信号に基づいて前記給電部及び前記チャージポンプユニットのうちの1つを前記電源線に連結する電源選択ユニットと、
を含むことを特徴とする、表示装置。 - 前記電源選択ユニットは、
前記電源線と前記給電部を連結する第1スイッチと、
前記電源線と前記チャージポンプユニットに連結する第2スイッチとを含み、
前記タイミング制御部は、入力画像データに基づいて入力画像が停止画像か否かを判断し、前記入力画像が停止画像の場合、前記第1スイッチをターンオフさせ、前記第2スイッチをターンオンさせる第1スイッチ制御信号を生成することを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の表示装置。
