Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a gas barrier film and a color conversion member.
In a light emitting unit such as a backlight unit of a liquid crystal display and an electroluminescence light emitting unit, the performance as a light emitter may be deteriorated when a long time elapses when the light emitter comes into contact with oxygen or water vapor. For this reason, these light emitting units often have a structure in which a gas barrier film having a gas barrier layer formed on a base material sandwiches both surfaces of a light emitter layer including a light emitter as a protective material for the light emitter.
In particular, from a backlight unit including a blue light emitting diode (blue LED) and a color conversion member (quantum dot film) including a quantum dot light emitter that converts blue light into green or red light, a sharp spectral spectrum of RGB Therefore, improvement of color reproducibility and reduction of power consumption are expected and attracting attention. However, when the quantum dots come into contact with oxygen or water vapor for a long time, dark spots are generated in the light obtained from the backlight unit, and thus protection with a barrier film is necessary.
The dark spot is considered to be due to a local decrease in luminous efficiency of the quantum dot film, and is considered to be caused by the passage of oxygen or water vapor from a local hole in the barrier film.
The local holes in the gas barrier film remain as follows: (1) The protrusions on the substrate remain after the formation of the gas barrier layer, and the protrusions are pressed against the opposing gas barrier layer by winding the gas barrier film or tightening after winding. The gas barrier layer is cracked, the gas barrier film is cracked by pressurization when the gas barrier film is laminated, and (3) the gas barrier film is cracked when a thermal stress is applied. It is thought to be caused by the cause.
However, in the gas barrier film described in

Preferably there is. When the content is 1% by mass or more, the water resistance effect tends to be easily obtained. When the content is 50% by mass or less, the flexibility of the film can be ensured and cracks are hardly generated, so that gas barrier properties are obtained. There is a tendency to become easily. In order to obtain more excellent water resistance and gas barrier properties, the content is more preferably 5 to 30% by mass with respect to the total solid content.
